This page contains content that belongs to the Amazing Digital Circus universe, which is not related to the SMG4 universe. (P.S. Except for that time SMG4 summoned Pomni accidentally.)

Well, we usually do, when we first arrive, but after a while you start to realize that you really can't leave and constantly chasing an unattainable goal will start driving you a bit crazy. And eventually you get to asking what the point of anything is and you completely lose sight of who you are and why you're even alive and when you reach your breaking point something really terrible can happen!

—Ragatha explaining about the absatraction, THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS: PILOT

Abstraction is a process in which the humans undergo when their psychological state becomes unstable when they are living in the Digital Circus for too long and lose sight of their Reality and Mental Stability. When that happens, the process is irreversible. Because of this, they need to be imprisoned in The Cellar to prevent them from spreading. Someone who got abstracted is treated as dead as revealed in Candy Carrier Chaos! where Kaufmo had a funeral after being abstracted.

It is not clear whether it is within Caine's power to reverse this process.

Appearance[]

When fully abstracted, they appear as black, monstrous, and glitchy beasts with many multicolored eyes.

Known Victims[]

Trivia[]

  • This is similar to Niles, as both of them are viruses that could mutate other characters (examples being Axol and SMG0) causing them to be an eldritch monster if mutation was very severe. It could also be similar to the Demonic Goop.
  • Their fate is a very similar to the infected from Left 4 Dead series, as they are not completely mindless husks, rather they retain their bit of control of their personality. For example, in a flashback where Kinger touches his abstracted wife, Queenie, calms down to see him one last time before she was sent to The Cellar, which deeply affected her husband's sadness and mental health.
