The SMG4 Wiki

Bluejay is a song from Meta Runner: The Final Season, composed by AJ DiSpirito and sung by Lizz Robinett. It is a ballad with fairly simple instrumentation that includes the main piano motif from Always Running. The song's name is a reference to the bird that Tari is designed after, which is also what she names her team's ship in Skybreakers. It is one of the three lyrical songs of Meta Runner: The Final Season, along with Trade and Skybreakers.

It is used as the ending theme for META RUNNER - The End // Final Season: Ep 8 (GRAND FINALE), replacing Trade (the ending theme for all other episodes in the season). It is also the last song on the official soundtrack release.

The song was also performed as the ninth and final song in The Final Goodbye. - A Meta Runner Concert.

Hello, my angel
Why are you hiding?
Feels like a lifetime
Since I last saw you flying
Gaze through the window
See all the birds leave you
Now and again, I felt the wind it's true

You lie in your reality
And cherish all your memories
The bluest jay that flies above
I wish that I could be you
If you could save the universe
To never feel alone
Lock my eyes with you
In a world of two
You never knew what I lost to see you

Hours pass through
Silence holds you still
No time within me
No one to turn to
Wake my soul through you
Find your heart, give it light
You and I share the sky

You lie in your reality
And cherish all your memories
The bluest jay that flies above
I wish that I could be you
If you could save the universe
To never feel alone
Lock my eyes with you
In a world of two
You never knew what I lost to see you

But hopefully, I'll see you soon
