Clampy are giant purple clam enemies that first appeared in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. They will trap a character In it's shell if it closes on a them, causing the player to take damage and then open back up. They occasionally appear in SMG4, but when they do appear, they usually in ocean scenes like in R64: Mario's Boat Trip.
