As they say in Russian: Whoops, should've predicted that someone could escape out of a ventilation shaft using a discarded mirror as stairs. |
” | —Doll in Russian after Uzi escaped her bathroom |
Doll was one of the secondarry antagonists in Murder Drones alongside with Serial Designation J. She was a Russian-speaking Worker Drone that appeared in the Pilot, first seen in class during Uzi's Railgun presentation before she and her friend Lizzy mock Uzi Doorman for getting into trouble. She was later seen among the other surviving Worker Drones in the evacuation spot trying to hide from Serial Designation J and Serial Designation V after they invade the complex.
Despite having very little appearances in the first two episodes, Doll had a bigger role in the plot than most other Worker Drones in "Heartbeat" as she is the only one, besides Uzi, to have a connection to the AbsoluteSolver program. She was able to block Lizzy from opening the door to the Solver's hologram that would've resulted in her death and later she kills a mechanical insect and consume its oil, smiling creepily as she stares at a photograph of Serial Designation V.
She served as the main antagonist of The Promening, willing to kill drones in the Prom Court to achieve her plan to kill V. She continued to use her AbsoluteSolver, levitating objects and transforming them into deadly weapons.
Biography[]
Little is known about Doll's life, but it's shown in minor flashbacks (possibly around the time of Uzi's birth) that her family were killed by Murder Drones, and that she watched her own mother get killed by Serial Designation V. It's unknown how she became aware of the AbsoluteSolver program and gained its powers. She would then keep the dead bodies of her family (and possibly other Worker Drones) and pretend that they're alive, stuffing their corpses everywhere in her house. She has also held a grudge against V and has possibly plotted her revenge ever since their first encounter.
She befriended Lizzy and Rebecca, and didn't seem to have a problem with them as among 3 classmates bullying Uzi in school. She has shown to be inattentive and aloof for the most part, sleeping in class and staying quiet, while hiding her dark past and powers.
Doll and Lizzy later agreed to help Uzi prepare for prom, as requested by Khan via their Teacher. After Uzi gets creeped out by the state of Doll's house, she escapes by using the ventilation shaft in her bathroom, which Doll says she "should have predicted".
Later in prom, Serial Designation V appeared, attempting to kill everyone but then hesitated after she was declared prom queen, deciding that she would do it later. Seeing V in such a vulnerable state, Doll confronted V to get her revenge, trapping her and everyone else in the venue by locking the door. She showed V a flashback of the latter killing her mother, then she dismembered V's arm before being stopped by Serial Designation N and Uzi. Uzi and Doll eventually have a fight in the venue, Doll seemingly getting the upper hand before she got shot in the head by V.
Later, Uzi, N and V went to investigate Doll's house, Doll teleported in to repair herself, wielding her AbsoluteSolver abilities to fire the bullet that V shot at her at Uzi. Uzi's AbsoluteSolver powers would activate at that moment, stopping the bullet midair. Doll then realized that Uzi has the same powers and attempted to negotiate with her, but was stopped by V shooting her once again, this time with a missile.
In Cabin Fever, it is revealed that Doll teleported before she was hit by V's missile, as she stays behind Uzi, watching her, but Doll teleports a few seconds later.
Appearance[]
Doll has dark purple hair and red neon eyes. Her attire looks much like a cheerleader with red, black, and gold stripes, along with long black winter boots. There is a small hole near the bottom center of her visor.
By The Promening, she wears an off-shoulder burgundy red dress with long sleeves.
In Home, Doll eventually gained an eye patch over her left eye to hide her scar.
Personality[]
In the Pilot, she seemed to enjoy teasing Uzi along with Lizzy, as she is shown laughing when the latter mocks Uzi, presenting her as possibly being one of those "popular girl bully" types. In Heartbeat, however, her attitude seems to be more reserved, as she appears emotionless and taciturn. She only shows concern when Lizzy attempts to open the door to speak to a Solver's hologram, as she uses the Solver to prevent Eldritch J from entering.
By episode 3, it's shown that Doll had been holding a deep grudge against V for killing her family. She was possibly traumatized and refused to let go of her family, keeping their bodies in her house and pretending that they're alive. She was quite intelligent, able to hone her AbsoluteSolver powers.
Abilities[]
Ability | Function |
---|---|
AbsoluteSolver | |
Telekinesis | Due to her AbsoluteSolver abilities, she has the ability to move things without directly touching them, from books to knives to large tables with little effort, not even requiring her to put her hand out at one point. |
Illusion Creation(?) | Doll whenever using her powers seems to conjure red lines of code. It is unknown if this is controllable or not. |
Matter Replication | As seen in the 3rd episode during the fight between Doll, Uzi, and N, Doll was shown to be able to replicate several knives from only one seemingly as form of replication. |
Matter Synthesis/Reconstruction (?) | In the opening scene of the 3rd episode, Doll was shown to synthesize a butcher's knife while murdering Kelsey Day. She is later shown doing the same with other blades. |
Matter Transformation (?): | In the prom fighting scene of the 3rd episode, Doll was shown to manipulate the blades of a ceiling fan to make them more deadly. |
Speed Acceleration (?) | Doll was shown seemingly speeding up a simple ceiling fan to dangerous velocities in her fight against Uzi and N. |
Regeneration | Doll is shown to regenerate her cracked visor after being shot by V in the back of the head. |
Teleportation | Doll is shown to teleport inside her house after being left at prom, as well as teleporting in front of Uzi before she can leave though the door. |
Lock Manipulation | Doll can seal any door shut, and can even destroy them. |
Criminal Record[]
- Cannibalism: She consumes the oil from other Worker Drones she hunted and killed as a result of getting infected with the Absolute Solver.
- Attempted Murder: Doll attempted to kill V during the events of The Promening.
Trivia[]
- She was voiced by Emma Breezy.
- She's currently the only Worker Drone who has red eyes, as of The Promening.
- Despite being a named character, she doesn't speak a single line of dialogue throughout the Pilot.
- Doll inexplicably speaks Russian for all of her dialogue. This is due to the fact that her voice actress, Emma Breezy, is bilingual in the Russian language.
- The other characters do not seem to have any trouble understanding Doll, implying Russian is a standard language for Drones or they able to translate what they hear in different languages.
- In the Russian dub, Doll instead speaks English for all of her dialogue.
