Sonic the Derphog: The Item Brick[]
Dr. Pootis first appears from the nominal Question Block after Dr. Eggman threw it on the ground. The two then continue to fight each other. The two fight once again in a later video titled, "Sonic the Derphog: Showdown of the Idiots".

- As revealed in The Wacky Wario Bros.: Golfing for Gold, he owns a weapons shop on a mountain near the golf course.
- Pootis originated in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door as Lord Crump where he was Sir Grodus's (the main villain) right hand.
- The phrase "Pootis" is from Team Fortress 2. By starting and stopping the quote "Put dispenser here" you will get a quick "Pootis" or "Put dis". Due to the Heavy's strong accent, it sounds more like "Poot", bringing at the end "Pootis".
- Dr. Pootis was ranked by Luke & James as the 3rd powerful "D-Tier" character in the "SMG4 Character Powerlevels" tier list (right behind Wario & Bowser Jr.) during the 5,100,000 Subscribers Livestream.
