Elon Reeve Musk is a real-life business magnate and investor. He is the founder and CEO of SpaceX and the owner of Twitter (which is officially known as X) and is the second-richest man in the world as of December 23rd, 2022. In the SMG4 series, Elon is usually only mentioned in relation to certain gags, though he did make a major appearance in SMG4: What If Mario Had $10,000,000?, competing with Mario and Jeff Bezos to colonize Mars.
As revealed in SMG4: Mario Goes On A Diet he is currently trapped in Mario's basement.

SMG4: What If Mario Had $10,000,000?[]
When Mario decided to go to space and colonise Mars, he found himself competing with Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos in order to do so. Eventually, they all crashed on the planet, where Mario proceeded to chase them around angrily.
SMG4: If Mario Was In... Poppy Playtime[]
Elon's name appears during the credits sequence, where it's stated that he was the one to voice Wario. This is a reference to an infamous skit from Saturday Night Live, where Elon Musk did indeed portray Wario, even wearing his outfit.
SMG4: Mario Suffers Infinite Detention[]
Not long after being taped to the ceiling, Mario threatens to call Elon Musk to tell him about being "imprisoned".
