Prologue: Return to the Internet Graveyard and the Corrupted Memes[]

SMG4: Perfectly Balanced.[]

Seven months after the events of the War Of The Fat Italians 2020, Mario and SMG4 were suddenly attacked by a corrupted Morshu and taken to the Internet Graveyard where they discovered that SMG3 had not only survived being taken to this dangerous realm, but had conquered it and become its ruler with the dead memes worshipping him as their savior.

After they ask if he's responsible for the corrupted Morshu, SMG3 is shocked to learn of this and has them taken back to his lair inside of the ancient pyramid. There, he asks SMG4 is he knows where memes come from to which SMG4 thought they simply appeared out of thin air. Realizing his nemesis' mass ignorance towards the memes despite claiming to be the "meme man" himself, SMG3 explains to him about the existence of something called the "Meme Life Cycle".

The cycle begins if a meme becomes popular on the internet and thus will materialize into SMG4's world, which is considered the living realm for memes. There, SMG4 will put them to work by using them in his videos and this will make the meme happy. Eventually, the meme will lose relevance and become a dead meme where it will transcend to the Internet Graveyard; as opposed to SMG4, SMG3's job is to look after the irrelevant memes and make sure they remain happy. Should a meme regain relevance, it returns back to the living realm to start the cycle anew and continues their existence.

Realizing this, SMG4 asks what will happen if he doesn't make videos of them to which SMG3 replies that the corruption will set in should this happen. Making memes happy is necessary to their life cycle as they are only willing to transcend if they've been looked after, otherwise they become more and more unhappy, refusing to cross over. Eventually, if a meme stays in either realm for too long, they will become corrupted and rendered hostile towards anything that isn't themselves.

SMG4 then asks SMG3 how to fix the corrupted Morshu and SMG3 tells him to do his stupid job of making memes out of him or both realms will be brought to ruin. Mario and SMG4 return back to Peach's Castle to find that Morshu's corruption has only worsened and has grown to gargantuan size. Luckily, SMG4 is able to make meme after meme of Morshu until it heals his pain and returns him to normal. Morshu thanks SMG4 for cleansing him and he finally transcends to the Internet Graveyard.

Mario asks SMG4 if they've completed their mission and the latter calls SMG3 to ask if Morshu arrived on the other side to which he confirms. However, SMG4 then becomes curious as to who was in charge of the Internet Graveyard before SMG3 came along since he only arrived in the realm less than a year ago. SMG3 claims that the oldest memes were the de facto rulers of the realm but weren't properly qualified to be the rulers of the graveyard and thus it declined into a backwater, stoneaged jungle where chaos reigned. But after SMG3 arrived, he encountered the ancient memes and they explained to him about the meme life cycle and using this knowledge, SMG3 was able to coordinate the memes and bring order to the realm with him becoming their new king and maintaining balance in the realm... only to then be facehumped by several Ugandan Knuckles immediately after.

The Secret of SMG4's Past[]

SMG4: SMG4's Origins[]

After Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Shroomy, Bob and Melony share their childhoods while hanging out in Bob's hotel, Mario realizes that SMG4 is the only one who never shared his past but SMG4 then comes to the realization that he doesn't remember his origins and his first memory was meeting Mario in the castle back in 2011. Distraught by this, SMG4 becomes desperate to learn what his childhood was and decides to call up SMG3, only to realize that he too has no memory of his past either.

Panicked, SMG3 runs to the Ancient Memes and, as some of the first ones to exist in this universe, asks them if they knew where he and SMG4 came from. They respond by showing them a memory of almost ten years ago just after Mario defeated Bowser and rescued Peach during the events of Super Mario 64. As the two celebrate peace returning to the Mushroom Kingdom, they notice a spacecraft come out of the sky and land in the distance which causes them to go investigate.

At the sight of the crash, a white and blue USB stick is seen to have been the mysterious ship and it opens to reveal its passenger: SMG4. The recolored Mario immediately wonders where he is and who he is due to having just been born from the spacecraft. He wonders off to learn of his surroundings while the USB begins to download the latest memes of the time which has the side effect of drastically lowering the IQ of anyone who is struck by its power, the most notable of which being Mario himself who, after investigating the USB, turns into the much ruder and shameless Mario known today.

Meanwhile, after SMG4 learned of a wesbite called YouTube where he can upload videos he makes of memes and people turned dumber by the USB, he meets Mario for the first time and is able to return some of his former intelligence to the insane plumber. There, the two properly introduce themselves and Mario finds it strange that SMG4 looks exactly like him but with different colored clothing. However, they're unable to ellaborate on it any further as they have to fight the memes for control of SMG4's laptop before realizing the only way to stop the memes is to tame them through making videos of them to pacify their urges. From that point forward, Mario and SMG4 become partners in creating meme-related content but realize that the USB that SMG4 came from is continuing to unleash memes wherever it can and the two decide to dispose of it by throwing it into a chasm.

After learning of his past, SMG3 suddenly realizes that it doesn't explain where he comes from and the ancient memes follow up by showing another vision of the Internet Graveyard back around the same time where another USB spaceship, this one black and blue, comes out of the sky and is meant to land in the graveyard but is unable to due to a mysterious glitchy power coming out of nowhere and causing his USB to teleport to SMG4's realm and prevent it from reaching its intended destination. There, SMG3 emerges and questions where he is but when he makes eye contact with SMG4, the latter immediately calls him stupid for absolutely no reason which angers SMG3 as he chases after SMG4 demanding he take back what he said.

The 10 Year Anniversary Incident and the Introduction of "Zero"[]

SMG4 Movie: 10 Year Anniversary Special[]

SMG4 wanted to celebrate 10 years of his channel, so he threw a party to celebrate and invited friends, memes, and even enemies from the past and present. He even invited SMG3 and memes from the graveyard despite the warnings about the memes' corruption. After the party, SMG3 was about to take home his memes, only to find out that he had been denied access to the Internet Graveyard. The dead memes became corrupted, forcing the gang to fight but the gangs were eventually defeated, and SMG4, FM, X, SMG3 and Mario were abducted to an abandoned cathedral. At the cathedral, SMG4, SMG3 and Mario saw FM and X turned lifeless by extraterrestrial virus and found other lifeless Mario Recolors on the cathedral floor. Desperate, they managed to escape from the cathedral, but Mario was later captured by Zero. Trying to find any form of communication, SMG4 and SMG3 ventured into the Dark Web valley, later stealing live-stream equipment for any contact.

Meanwhile, the rest of the gang managed to escape the castle with the help of SMG1 and SMG2, who they were trying to get SMG4's attention to warn them about this virus from another universe that they refer to only as Zero. The two explain that Zero goes across different universes and destroys them, the latest of which was their own universe and while they managed escaped, Zero followed them to this one. SMG1 and SMG2 proceeded to tell the only way to defeat him is by using a Guardian Pod, the USB that both SMG4 and SMG3 used to arrive in the Mushroom Kingdom. SMG4 realized that he threw his away by mistake, so he claimed that he didn't know where it was. SMG3 then suggested that they use his Guardian Pod, which was still stuck in the field it landed in. However, SMG4 and SMG3 were kidnapped again, and SMG2 advised them to keep their avatar safe. Back at the cathedral, Niles began to absorbed Mario's life energy, causing SMG4 and SMG3 to shriek in pain. Fortunately, the gang managed to rescue them, and SMG1 and SMG2, contained Zero once and for all. Zero, being contained, produced a black hole sucking SMG1 and SMG2, and Mario, their avatar, was freed.

After all that they rested on the rooftop of the castle and wondered what this virus that attacked Mario was, what it has to do with universes being destroyed plus these alien USBs, and if there are other SMGs out there which leaves everyone, espeically SMG4, perplexed as they realize that this incident is part of a bigger mystery.

Meanwhile in the Dark Web, the Guardian Pod containing the virus, Zero, begins to sound an alarm as the anti-virus will expire soon...

The Search for the Guardian Pods[]

SMG4: Into the Dark Web[]

After Mario clears SMG4's mind when he goes insane trying to solve the mystery of Zero and the Guardian Pods, SMG4 remembers that SMG2 told him to find their Guardian Pod as it has the answers. Despite this, SMG4 quickly realizes that he doesn't know its location but he does remember where his own Guardian Pod and resolves to find it in the hopes that it can reveal the location of SMG1 and SMG2's USB.

Along with Mario, Bob, Axol and Melony, SMG4 journeys down into the Dark Web to find his USB. After using a hacked VPN by Melony to navigate the dangers of the Dark Web, they discover where SMG4's Guardian Pod had landed after he disposed of it years ago and upon entering, realize that the USB holds an entire library within and a main control console.

As Mario tamperes with the controls, it shows SMG4 a memory of when the Guardian Pods first entered Mario's universe ten years ago, with SMG4 landing in the Mushroom Kingdom while SMG3 was meant to land in the Internet Graveyard as it was his job to balance out the dead memes but was instead sent to the Mushroom Kingdom as well when Zero, who traveled with SMG1 and SMG2 inside their own USB, sent out corrupted blasts and one of which struck SMG3's Guardian Pod and sent it to the wrong location.

As for SMG1 and SMG2's Guardian Pod, it ended up crashing into the side of a mountain somewhere in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. With the knowledge of the USB's location, SMG4 and the others return home but notice that Bob went missing during the trip through the Dark Web. He ended up chasing after Butter Birdo and instead ended up inside of the cathedral were SMG3's USB was containing Zero. Mistaking the USB for SMG4's own, Bob thought he had completed the mission but noticed he was alone as the Guardian Pod's antivirus had finally run out and allowed Zero to escape in a very weakened form but was still able to follow the unsuspecting Bob back to the Mushroom Kingdom.

The Brazil Newgrounds Trials[]

SMG4: If Mario Was In... Newgrounds[]

With the location of SMG1's and SMG2's Guardian Pod found, Mario and SMG4 won flight tickets to Rio de Janeiro in a golf tournament. They traveled there to find the Guardian Pod, arriving at Corcovado (referred to as Mount Brazil in the episode) before Mario triped and sent himself and SMG4 falling down into the mountain where they discovered the remnants of another universe dwelling within: Newgrounds.

After traversing through the Newgrounds games, the duo was on the verge of giving up until they finally spotted the USB in a crater barricaded by barriers set up by the Civil Police of Rio de Janeiro State. They entered the USB with the intent of getting answers, only to find out that the inside was wrecked due to a fight between Zero and SMG1 and SMG2 before their USB crashed.

The Origins of SMG1 and SMG2[]

SMG4: The Other Universe[]

After entering the Guardian Pod, the two are able to find the control console and it shows a game called "Spudnick's Great Adventure" with a red version of SMG2 on the front, which SMG4 speculates is SMG1 and SMG2's avatar, realizing that all SMGs are modeled after their avatar, except for SMG1 since he looks like he got squished in an accident.

The console projects its memory into Mario and SMG4's minds, allowing them to view the events as if they were there. They see Spudnick searching for his lost teddy bear along with SMG2 and later joined by SMG1 as they chase an actual bear who stole Spudnick's toy but Mario notices that the Newgrounds characters they just encountered live in this other universe along with the trio.

After Spudnick and the two SMGS chase the bear back into their own game, Mario and SMG4 compare the trio's adventures very similar to their own gang but at that moment, they're caught off guard when another Guardian Pod appears in the memory and lands in front of SMG1, SMG2 and Spudnick who are surprised by its arrival while Mario and SMG4 watch with shock as it opens to reveal the Zero virus that attacked them two months earlier.

Zero attacks SMG1 and SMG2 before focusing on Spudnick and, realizing him to be this universe's avatar, grabs him and ends up killing him despite SMG1 and SMG2's attempt to save their avatar. With their avatar dead, SMG1 and SMG2 lose some of their textures and SMG4 realizes the same thing happened to him and SMG3 when Zero was attacking Mario, meaning that Mario is his and SMG3's avatar.

Despite the death of their avatar, SMG1 and SMG2 realize they have to evacuate everyone to their Guardian Pod before its too late becausee without an avatar, their universe will soon die as well and kill anyone still left inside. SMG2 goes to round everyone up while SMG1 stays behind to keep Zero busy long enough for everyone to get to safety. Although SMG2 succeeds in evacuating everyone into their USB, Zero manages to slip by SMG1 and goes after SMG2, dropping Spudnick's corpse in front of him before attempting to kill him. He fails when SMG1 ambushes him by using his own USB's antivirus to trap him inside in an attempt to bring him down along with their universe; this only partially succeeds due to Zero's arm being amputated after forcing the door open, allowing Zero's consciousness to inhabit his limb and chase after SMG1 and SMG2 into their Guardian Pod, allowing him to follow them into the next universe, which is revealed to be a emulator of Super Mario 64.

The memory ends with Mario and SMG4 being dumbfounded as they come to the conclusion that Zero's real name is SMG0 and the he was once an SMG like them until something happened to him that corrupted him and transformed him into a virus. Despite Mario wishing to go after SMG0 to avenge Spudnick's death due to having taken a liking to his fellow avatar, SMG4 stops him as he explains to Mario that he is their avatar and that he's the one who SMG0 is after, since killing Mario will result in the destruction of their universe, despite Mario not taking his role seriously.

The two leave the Guardian Pod to return home, but as they leave they fail to notice that Zero's eye proxy had secretly followed them and used them to gain access into the USB as it floats over to the control console and begins typing something. At the same time, in the ruins of the old universe, SMG0's Guardian Pod is seen laying among the dead universe before it activates due to Zero remotely controlling it before he programs it to initiate interdimensional travel and come to SMG4's universe so he can resume his plans.

The meantime of Sunset Paradise events[]

Sunset Paradise

While SMG4 & Mario visit the lost past, Meggy was on Port Aurora to stop Benedict's criminal gang. Meggy was the equivalent of about a week on Port Aurora (if you can see it realistically). Meggy was also plagued by Shadow Meggy during her troubled vacation. She was able to defeat the Spud Buds, Whisk & the Funky Force with the help of Auri Bori. Benedict was finally defeated too, but he self-destructed into explosion believing he could escape. So Meggy had spent her vacation and returned home where she picked up all the previous events from the Genesis Arc.

The Return of Zero[]

SMG4: The Day HE Arrived.[]

SMG0's Guardian Pod enters into the Mushroom Kingdom, where it crashes lands into a field. Zero's eye drone then forced Professor E. Gadd at knifepoint to build a cloning machine, which mass-produced Shrek clones. After one of these clones kidnapped Mario, SMG4 and Axol gave chase. The Shrek clone was headed to SMG0's Guardian Pod and proceeded to use SMG4's body to gain access and open the door. After Professor E. Gadd screamed for help, Zero's eye drone began rushing into the Guardian Pod, before eventually getting crushed by Mario's foot.

However, since the Guardian Pod door was left open, zero now had an opportunity to wreak havoc. Zero attempted to pull Mario into his Guardian Pod, but quick intervention from SMG4 and Axol prevented him from certain death. SMG4 debated with Mario and Axol about ways to get rid of the USB. However, Axol soon pointed out the Guardian Pod had vanished only for it to go berserk and charge towards Mario with Niles in tow. SMG4 luckily got Mario out of the way, but the same could not be said for Axol, who got trapped with Zero. Zero outstretched his finger and touched Axol on the head and possessed him, causing the axolotl to whiteout and go unconscious.

Back at the castle, Axol was left to recuperate in the infirmary, where Mario called out Melony to find SMG0's USB floating near the castle. As the rest of the gang remain, mouths agape, Axol made a speedy "recovery", and denied the previous events that happened. As he walked back to New Donk City, the camera views his deranged face meaning that not everything is as good as it seems.

An Attempt to Destroy SMG0's USB[]

SMG4: Doomsday but Mario is Okay[]

As SMG0's USB hovers above the castle, SMG4 had the Mushroom Kingdom Armed Forces to get rid of it, with Swagmaster and Chris using a mini-nuclear bomb to destroy it as SMG4 and the gang hid in a doomsday bunker, to keep Mario safe from Niles. SMG4 gave the gang the utmost rule to never leave the bunker, as they may be exposed to outside radiation within the castle area. Swagmaster then pressed the detonator, but the bomb did not go off as planned.

As the gang waited for the explosion for so long, there was a total chaos in there. Meanwhile, Melony was looking for Axol, who Boopkins stated that he was in the toilet. As Melony checked in, she found Axol missing. Mario then barged in to urinate, and found binary digits within the toilet bowl, and screamed in terror as it intensified before being sent to the Niles's Backroom Maze.

As Swagmaster got rid of Peach, he fixed the detonator and prepared for the explosion. As tensions in the bunker rages on, Tari remembered that they left Luigi behind, who brought board games to play with his friends at the castle unaware about the situation and got caught up in the impact of the blast and radiation. Still, the USB is too strong to be destroyed.

Trapped in the Backrooms and the Possession of Axol[]

SMG4: Mario and The Backrooms[]

Mario woke up and found himself falling out of the world, and ended up in some backrooms, with no form of contact available. Trying to investigate, Mario stumbled upon a creature and ran. When the creature cornered him, he attacked it by throwing a shoe, and the creature was revealed to be SMG4, who was dragged down the toilet in where he was when the gang was finding Mario in the bunker.

They decided to find an exit, where they both stumbled upon at? block. Hitting the question block, they found a corrupted Goomba and gave chase to it. As they caught up to it, the Goomba told them to "don't go any further" until disappearing. Stumbling across a door, they found what it appeared to be a birthday party, with the hats of Mario and the SMGs as presents. The room then glitched, spawning the messages "GO BACK", so the duo hurried themselves to the exit, leading to another set of backrooms, where they met SMG3, who too got here in the same scenario as them. Then, a monster showed up, causing them to run and find an elevator that leads to the exit.

The three ended up in the cathedral in the Dark Web, where they saw Axol near SMG3's USB, and he was acting weird, switching personalities. As the real Axol warned SMG4 to escape (and told him he was the one who left the messages in the backrooms), he mutated into Ax0l, the manifestation of Zero and Axol, who hurled SMG4 to open the USB that sucked the SMGs and Mario into it.

The Return of SMG1 and SMG2 and Escaping SMG3's Guardian Pod.[]

SMG4: MARIOS OKAY[]

The trio found themselves inside SMG3's USB, although they had no idea where they were. Trying to find the exit, Zero's eyes were constantly heckling them into madness, until they fell into a reality where the law of space and time does not apply. Fearing the end, it wasn't until a blue cube and a yellow sphere came to life and lead them to the exit.

Finding their way out, SMG3 spotted Morshu. Making their hands hold, he transformed into a spirit that transformed the cube and the sphere into SMG1 and SMG2's head, both survived. SMG2 then explained the purpose of the SMGs, whose job is to protect the life cycle of memes, as memes are the life energy of their universes, and its energy can be redirected by SMGs. To exit, SMG3 and SMG4 hesitantly held their hands together to transmute meme energy to build a bridge that leads them to an exit on a floating island.

Finally free from Zero's mind torture simulation, SMG1 directed SMG3 and SMG4 to transmute the meme energy out of the USB's reactor core, which will be enough energy to escape the USB, since the only entryway is locked. They transmute the energy to Mario to break free from the USB by enlarging him. However, SMG1 had oversighted his calculation, where the unbalance of energy made Mario's enlargement going rogue because SMG3 and SMG4 lacked the training to control their energy.

Still, they were able to escape, but Mario was left floating near the now rebuilt castle. The other USBs are seen floating around the castle, where Ax0l was waiting for them.

The Second Attempt to Seal Away Zero and The Reveal of His Plan[]

SMG4: The Final Piece[]

Eldritch Ax0l plans to use all of the USBs' powers to have their power absorbed into Mario, so that way, he would die, and the universe would be destroyed. However, his plan ends up getting thwarted by Swag, Chris and Melony, who shoot Ax0l to stop him, dropping the unconscious Mario onto the castle bridge. However, Ax0l doesn't stop. He chases SMG4 and SMG3 throughout the castle as SMG4 hides Mario's unconscious body in a treasure chest. They then try to extract Zero from Axol's body, but in the process, he grabs hold of Melony's leg, bringing her to Ax0l's brain, where Axol is chained in place, with no way of being freed. Axol gives Melony his notebook, which he uses as a love confession, before he disappears into the void. When Melony wakes up, the manga is in her hands. Unfortunately, Ax0l repels the extraction, and he gets back on his feet quickly.

Zero chains up everyone and manages to find Mario and absorbs the power of memes into a giant portal in the sky. Ax0l reveals that he was creating a brand-new universe with Mario as his new avatar. Eventually, he touches the invisible crystal barrier encasing Mario and he gets woozy and falls to the ground. This leads to Ax0l becoming more corrupted, growing to a towering height, and having more of Eldritch Zero's body features, thus the final battle to save their universe and everyone in it has begun.

The Final Battle, the Death of Axol and Zero's Defeat.[]

The Finale: SMG4: War Of The Fat Italians 2021[]

After being tied up, Niles holds SMG1 and SMG2 in his hand in an attempt to crush them but SMG3 and SMG4 transform the meme energy that is being gathered and transforms it into solid objects to distract Ax0l. SMG4's Gang get out of the chains and go into the other universe. The gang tries find Mario and must go through multiple portals (or otherwise challenges) to find Mario crystal. After completing the crystal's challenges, the gang finds Mario in the force field. Then they briefly see Eldritch SMG0's true form. The Mario clone starts to become larger and soon becomes Mari0. Melony enters Ax0l's brain. Despite Melony's protests, Axol says that the only way to destroy Zero is to kill him. Melony gives Axol one final kiss before going through with his request, causing Eldritch Ax0l to wail in agony as he disintergrates, leaving nothing behind of either the axolotl or the virus as everyone cheers due to the "evil" having been destroyed but joy soon turns to pain when they realize that Melony was forced to destroy Axol along with Zero in order to save them and their universe.

However, nobody notices two masses having appeared after Axol's death, one of light and the other of darkness. The light mass heads into the depths of the incomplete universe as it is sent away to another realm while the dark mass latches onto the grief-stricken Melony without her realizing...

Several days later, after everyone returned back to their universe, Melony is seen living inside of Axol's apartment where she is busy trying to learn from Axol's books on how to draw manga in order to carry on his legacy, with her making a chibi drawing of herself and her late lover. As soon as she finishes, SMG4 and the rest of the gang walk in to see how Melony is holding up with Meggy in particular empathizing with the melon girl due to them suffering very similar trauma, but are cut off when SMG1, SMG2 and SMG3 walk in after the others as the former explains to everyone that with the memes returned to their proper place, the new universe closed up and Zero finally vanquished, he and SMG2 have completed their mission and the only thing left for them to do is to hide the Guardian Pods in a place where evil will never find them again.

SMG4 and the others thank the two for their help in saving their universe with SMG1 claiming that they were simply doing their duty as SMGs, confusing SMG3 and SMG4 as they, along with everyone else, thought that SMG was short for "SuperMarioGlitchy", but SMG1 and SMG2 chuckle to themselves as they reveal that to be a misconception and reveal the true meaning of their names: Super Meme Guardian.

The two take their leave as SMG3 proceeds to head back to the Internet Graveyard now that the fight against "SMG0" has concluded, with him and SMG4 having finally broken their endless antagonism towards each other to at least being able to tolerate each other's existence now that they understand their true purpose. After his departure, SMG4 turns back to Melony and assures her that they all miss Axol too and Melony decides that they should continue living as it's what Axol would expect of them and everyone agrees, while giving Melony suggestions for her continuation of Axol's manga series as the camera pans down to the comic that Axol drew for Melony while in the real world, the USBs are being disconnected from the computer, thus ending the Genesis Arc.

    • To not have the word "The" in the title.
      • It previously lacked the word "Arc" in the title as well when it was named "Super Meme Genesis." That was until it was renamed to "Genesis Arc" sometime during its run.
    • To have regular episodes in between arc episodes.
    • To directly retcon a character's history to match the story.

    • Where the main antagonist was already excessively heinous before the arc, as Waluigi and SMG3 weren’t that heinous before their arcs, Peach and Francis were initially allies of the heroes, Shadow Meggy came into existence during her 'arc', and Desti and Team Killer Ink are merely jerks.
    • Where in Axol plays an antagonist role, or otherwise being the main antagonist of an arc.
      • He is an antagonist as long as he is possessed by Niles.
      • Coincidentally, he was supposed to be the main antagonist of the The Anime Arc but was scrapped.
    • Where the main antagonist doesn't have a ludicrous motive for his plan (compared to the other arc villains, at least. Waluigi because he wasn't a fighter in Smash, Bob because he wanted to be famous, Francis because he wanted an island of waifus, and SMG3 because he wanted to exact his revenge on SMG4 for destroying his production studio, and, consequently, his chance at redemption.).
    • Where a major (main) character dies.
    • Where there is a romance subplot and confession.
    • Where the new surviving characters (SMG1 and SMG2) don't become series mainstays.
    • Where SMG4 is the main protagonist.
    • Where the main antagonist's fate is completely ambiguous, as SMG0's story is stated by James Bailey to not be over.
  • This is the second arc in the series:
    • In which SMG3 plays a main role, the first being the YouTube Arc.
    • To have the main antagonist be a new character, the first being The Anime Arc with Francis (excluding his background cameos in SMG4: AREA 64 and SMG4: Doki Doki Mario Club).
    • In which one of the main characters is a specific target in the villain's plan (Meggy Spletzer in The Anime Arc being the first, Mario in this arc).
    • In which SMG3 is a protagonist. The first one being the The Waluigi Arc where he and Wario are the ones who cause Waluigi’s redemption.
      • In this arc, SMG3 serves as an 'Anti-Hero'.
    • Wherein a character dies. The first being the The Anime Arc
    • To end on a bittersweet note, considering the fact that, while Niles as Eldritch SMG0 is defeated and the universe is saved, Axol was killed by Melony in order to stop the Eldritch SMG0.
      • To be controversial among fans because of split opinions on Melony.
  • This is the third arc in the series:
  • This arc is widely considered the darkest arc in the series, above the Anime Arc and the YouTube Arc. This is due to the villain being played dead seriously, major dark themes like mass omnicide and forced possession, the death of a major character and being serious for all 12 of its episodes.
  • The beginning of this wiki page was read by SMG4 in SMG4: She's Back!, from a book titled 'Genesis Arc Wiki'.
  • After SMG4: Doomsday but Mario is Okay was released, the channel banner was changed to SMG4 and Mario heading towards Niles to save Axol, who is in front of Niles, represented by a black mass with tendrils coming out of it. After SMG4: Mario and The Backrooms was released, the channel banner was added with SMG3 and Niles covering more of the right side of the banner, while Axol changed into his possessed form. After War Of The Fat Italians 2021 (Official Trailer) was released the channel banner was added SMG2 and Niles covering more and more of the right side of the banner, while Axol had changed to his 2nd stage of his possessed form. After SMG4: The Final Piece was released, SMG1 joins the other SMGs and Mario as Ax0l now faces them in the final stage of his demonic possession, surrounded by the eyes of Niles.
  • Strangely, the majority of the bloopers in this arc accidentally use the 2018 - 2019 logo.
  • The Genesis Arc is very different from the other Arcs because the other Arc had existing themes, but Genesis Arc is about a theme that Luke had come up with all by himself.
  • For this arc, Luke & Kevin have created at 7 new ragdolls.
  • On September 16, 2021, SMG4 released the models for SMG1, SMG2, and all three Eldritch Axol models on the GMod workshop[1], making this the first instance where the models for arc characters are released before the finale of the arc, they debuted in.
    • As Niles is defeated and Axol is now dead, this marks the only instance where "one-time models" are released to the public.
  • After the Genesis Arc ended, the channel banner was changed again to a picture by therealseawhale that includes Axol holding Melony in his arms.
  • The word "Genesis" is Greek for "origins". This is fitting since SMG4 is trying to discover who he is.
  • All episodes in this arc are rated TV-PG on IMDb, except for "SMG4 Movie: 10 Year Anniversary Special", which is rated PG-13.
  • This arc and the Revelations Arc were most likely named after the first and last books of the Christian Bible, the Book of Genesis and the Book of Revelations respectively.
