Freddy Fazbear's Pizza (also known as just Freddy's, or Freddy's Spaghettiria) is a pizzeria that is the main setting of Five Nights At Freddy's. Mario gets a job here in R64: Freddy's spaghettiria while doing community service after being thrown in jail.
The primary mascot and figurehead of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza is Freddy Fazbear himself, accompanied by his cheery band, consisting of Bonnie the Bunny and Chica the Chicken.
Despite Freddy's looking like a charming, family-friendly restaurant, it actually has a very dark and disturbing past involving a serial killer known as the Purple Man.
- Angry Indian Guy (manager & owner)
- Cop (former night guard, quit)
- Mario (former night guard, fired)
- Dr. Eggman (employee)
- Phone Guy (former security guard)
- Freddy Fazbear (animatronic Bear -mascot-)
- Bonnie (animatronic Rabbit)
- Chica (animatronic Chicken)
- Foxy (animatronic Fox)
- Golden Freddy (animatronic golden bear)
The facility is notorious for having animatronics bent on murdering any trespassers, and is overall a very unsettling place where many accidents have occurred. The Bite of '87 is a particularly notable incident, where Fredbear bit the frontal lobe off of a party-goer. There have been at least six murders at Freddy Fazbear's.
Finally, in Five Nights at Freddy's 4, the player sees what is commonly believed to be the Bite of '87. Being the biggest mystery in the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise solved, it is apparent the crying child was the victim and Fredbear caused the bite.
History in FNAF
According to the Phone Guy in Five Nights at Freddy's 2, the original restaurant was named "Fredbear's Family Diner," presumably a local family restaurant, before being bought and re-enfranchised as "Freddy Fazbear's Pizza." By the time the events of the second game occur, the original restaurant and owner have been gone for years.
According to several altered posters in the first game, an incident occurred when a man, dressed in an animatronic (thought to be Golden Freddy's) suit, lured two and eventually five kids in total into the back of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza; however, nowhere does it say that he actually murdered them. The suspect was eventually caught, but in the end, neither the children nor their bodies were ever found.
In the first game, the restaurant is actually set to be shut down later in the year; complaints to the Health Department about blood and mucus leaking from the suits, as well as a horrid odor, are allegedly the cause. Furthermore, business has been bad, and the management could not find a buyer for the pizzeria since no one cared to be associated with the name, giving them no other choice but to close the place down.
Due to the incidents, the restaurant has been unable to earn a substantial amount of revenue. This resulted in the implementation of a power budget at night. It is also for these reasons that the establishment is being forced to close down at the end of the year.
In the game, this means that electricity at night must be used wisely, as there is no further delivery of power during the night phase of the game. Using doors, lights, and even the security cameras will cause the power to drain depending on the player's power usage, until eventually the power will go out. If that happens, Freddy Fazbear will appear and eventually kill the player unless it reaches 6 AM during the meantime.
The player must survive all five nights to complete the initial game itself; however, upon completing Night 5, Night 6 is unlocked. Upon beating the 6th Night, an additional 7th Night is also unlocked, where the player can set the difficulty of the animatronic's A.I. from 0 to 20.
It is revealed on the map and through Phone Guy's recordings that there is a secret safe room for employees that doesn't appear on the security map or cameras, is inaccessible to customers, and is completely invisible to any of the animatronics, as shown by the error caused by trying to enter it during the minigame. However, due to budget restrictions, the safe rooms in all locations were locked up and sealed over with a false wall.
The minigames suggest that this safe room was where the five children were murdered. They also imply that this safe room was the final resting place of Purple Guy after bleeding to death in the Springtrap animatronic-costume hybrid while trying to escape the vengeful spirits of the children. As nothing was removed from the safe rooms before the false wall was built, it is very likely that his corpse lay there until it was found by the employees at Fazbear's Fright.
