GlitchX, short for Glitch Expo, is an event organized by Glitch Productions and hosted on the GLITCH channel. The goal of GlitchX is to showcase various indie animation creators and their shows, giving them time in the spotlight for a wider audience. The event first began in 2023.

GLITCHX 2023[]

GlitchX 2023 was a livestream event held on November 9. It featured a schedule of events and various shoutouts to specific indie animated projects. The show itself went as follows:

  • The first event was an AMA session with Liam Vickers, answering questions related to his show Murder Drones.
  • The second event was an "indie animation roundtable" featuring several prominent indie animation creators discussing the state of the industry. Specifically, the creators involved were Liam Vickers (Murder Drones), Gooseworx (The Amazing Digital Circus), Tracy Butler (Lackadaisy), Sr Pelo (Spooky Month), and Vivziepop (Helluva Boss).
  • The third event was another AMA session, this time featuring Gooseworx and Michael Kovach answering questions related to The Amazing Digital Circus.
  • The fourth event was a "voice actor gameshow" hosted by Youtuber Saberspark. The contestants of the show were Michael Kovach, Elsie Lovelock, Alex Rochon, Lizzie Freeman, Belsheber Rusape, and Edward Bosco.
  • At the end of the livestream, Kevin and Luke Lerdwichagul announced the next original Glitch show: The Gaslight District, made in collaboration with Nick Szopko.

GLITCHX 2024[]

GlitchX 2024 occurred on November 1. Unlike the previous event, it was not a livestream, instead being a video showcasing multiple indie creators one by one with entertainment pieces and special guests between. This change was made in order to better fit with the event's goal of focusing on other indie developers and building up the community. Twelve indie projects were highlighted during the event, specifically:

  • Port by the Sea by Georden Whitman
  • Atlas and the Stars by Mirandamations
  • Horizonauts by RubberGum
  • Monkey Wrench by Zeurel
  • HEATHENS by Studio Psycho
  • Dungeon Flippers by Travis Fowler
  • Cosmic Travelers by Starseed Animation
  • PUNCH PUNCH FOREVER! by Speedoru
  • Spice Frontier by Steamroller Animation
  • Enceladus V by 11:11 Animation
  • House on the Outlands by MAKE

Other segments of the event included a "VA Fun Time" featuring Michael Kovach, Elsie Lovelock and Lizzie Freeman as well as an interview with Olan Rogers, the creator of Final Space and the indie pilot Godspeed. Additionally, this year marked the debut of Bug, the GlitchX mascot designed by Pishigreg.
