Grandpa Joe is one of the main characters of the 1964 children's novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and based on the Tim Burton version of the film adaptation. As his title implies, he is the grandfather of the book's main character Charlie Bucket, being the one to tell him about Willy Wonka and later accompanying his grandson to Wonka's factory after he finds a Golden Ticket. Similar to his role in the novel, Grandpa Joe is one of the main characters of the SMG4 episode "SMG4 and the Meme Factory".
