Dr. James Sheridan, also simply known as Sheridan or The Annoying Neighbour, is the overarching antagonist of the Glitch Productions science fiction animated web series [Meta Runner]].
He was a former scientist for TAS Corp. and the mind behind Project Blue, a mysterious project he developed a unique A.I. to assist Meta Runners in gameplay, to avoid being fired by Derek Lucks. During the events of Global Testfire, Sheridan also revealed to the entire world that he was the one that actually created the Meta Runner arm with Lucks taking all of the credit from him. After hacking Masa's arm to murder his former boss, Derek Lucks, he took over the remnants of TAS Corp. and renamed it as SHER Corp..
His dream was to use the project to make himself known in the gaming industry by creating an advanced A.I. program called Turbo Artificial Rapid Intelligence ('TARI'), that could help meta runners optimally beat any game in the most efficient way that is beyond what their cybernetic arms are naturally capable of, but an accident ended the project prematurely that seriously injured him and Lucinia Porter in the process.
In Season 2 he reappears secretly as the "annoying neighbor" in Firewall, and is properly revealed in Fatal Error, offering Tari's game-warping abilities to the now jobless Evelyn.
During Season 3, Sheridan started his own version of TAS Corp. and called it SHER Corp., and held Masa and Belle hostage with Lucinia in his possession. He was Tari’s creator and father figure turned arch-nemesis. Following his attempt to decommission Tari and revive Lucinia, he later warped every Meta Runner in the world into his server which threatened to kill them all if not stopped. During the new broadcast, he revealed to the world that he was the one that created the Meta Runner arm and that Lucks stole all of his credit.
Once his location was found by Marco and his men, thanks to Sofia Porter, Sheridan had his bugs placed on him by Marco and all activated at once and suffered death from electrocution.
He was voiced by Anthony Sardinha aka AntFish, who also voiced Lamar Williams.

History
At some point in the past, Sheridan created the Meta Runner arm to help gamers. However, Derek Lucks took all of the credit for its creation without Sheridan receiving any of it.
A scientist in the employ of TAS Corp., Dr. Sheridan soon found himself under the threat of being fired. To avoid this fate, he began work to realize life's goal, Project Blue, which he hoped to both revolutionize the gaming industry of Silica City and keep his job.
His progress was going good as the Tari A.I. he built was capable of optimally beating any and every game thrown at it. After a while of searching for a human host to implant the A.I. into, he eventually acquired the help of Luciia to further his plans.
After a while of testing, he believed that it was time to take the experiment to the next level by downloading a more advanced version of T.A.R.I. into the Lucinia's arm. At some point during this process, the program surged and caused an explosion that physically scarred Sheridan and shattered Lucinia's mind, rendering her inactive without her consciousness.
Season 1
Sheridan does not physically appear in Season 1 though he is heavily referred to by the Project Blue files that were uncovered by Belle as he video taped himself and his progress on the project.
Season 2
In Firewall, he appears as Masa’s neighbor constantly bugging him before he realizes that he has guests on over. He then does not bother Masa anymore as he lets them talk with Sofia and Lamar basically.
Sheridan does not show up until it was revealed that he was attending the stadium event as he bugged Masa’s arm along the way as Masa was making his way through the crowd to distract Lucks in Soft Lock. Afterwards it is presumed that Sheridan went back to his hideout to watch the events unfold from there.
As Masa was about to leave and not pull the trigger on Lucks in Fatal Error, Sheridan then takes matters into his own hands as he hacks into Masa’s arm. He then hacks to the point that he pulls the trigger and frames Masa for Lucks death. After a hectic moment with MD-5, he then decides to contact Evelyn after hearing that she wanted Tari’s powers. He tells Evelyn that he could help to give her the powers and reveals his name as Sheridan to her.
Season 3
It was revealed that Sheridan warped the minds of Belle and Masa into his server, thus meeting them face to face. He also created an A.I. version of Lucks as his servant. During that time, he revealed Masa that he made him to kill Lucks, much to Masa's anger.
Sheridan managed to revive Lucinia with the fragments Evelyn got from Tari, albeit she is in a state of amnesia and cannot talk. Belle and Masa found out about this during their training at Battle Blaze, in which their opponent is Lucinia. Masa congratulates Sheridan on outdoing Lucks by being a bigger monster than him before getting sent back to training.
He then sent Evelyn and Lucinia to find Tari and her friends in Skybreakers, with the latter's new abilities of hacking the game, which allowed to kill players in the safezone. After taking out Theo, Lamar and Marco in-game, Evelyn orders Lucinia to attack Tari and reclaim the fragments to which she complies. But Sofia calls out to her sister, which momentarily awakens her memory, Tari takes the chance to attack Lucinia, and gaining her Meta Runner vision back.
In "Death Warp", Sheridan psychologically tortures Masa with his guilt of killing Lucks and offers him a control bug so he won't have those memories again. After Masa, Belle (though off-screen) became another victim of his brainwashing. Near the end, when Lamar was warped to Sheridan's server, he finds everyone else was there with the brainwashed Belle and Masa standing aside from the doctor. After showing the advertisement for his company, Sheridan asks everyone if they had any questions, then proceeds to drop weapons from the video games presented in the series, and forced them to kill each other, before leaving the server.
Sheridan was back at his hideout, unaware of his computer overloading, watching himself on breaking news, wanted for the mass Meta Runners outage. He soon was aware Masa's free will was overloading and tried to control him again, but Masa pinned him and tried to choke him. Sheridan stabbed Masa's neck with a screwdriver, and it causes an explosion, knocking both of them unconscious. When Sheridan regained consciousness, he tried to kill Masa again, but he noticed Tari breached his server along with Lucinia. When Tari tries to convince him to stop what he was doing, Sheridan refuses and plans to harvest her brain functions, but Sofia hacks into the server and helps Tari to fight Lucinia, albeit to no avail. Tari managed to make her way to the lab and subdue Lucinia, but Sheridan stuns her and revoked Sofia's access while boasting about his victory over them.
James Sheridan's death
Just as he is about to celebrate more, Sofia reveals that she had a tracker on the tracer program Sheridan made, which leads to Marco and his gang breaking into his hideout. Sheridan tries to shoot Marco, but he blocked off the shots and pinned him onto a table, Marco recognizes him as the masked man at the low tier, selling control bugs. Marco puts several of the bugs on Sheridan's face and knocks him over.
James Sheridan's burnt corpse
Sheridan suffered a long and agonizing death by electrocution through his own meta bugs along with his servers getting destroyed until he was burnt to a crisp.
Appearance
James Sheridan is a male adult. He has dark skin with brown eyes and dark brown hair with a slight beard. His outfit as a scientist was a grey and blue coat with a tan vest and white collared undershirt. During Season 2, Sheridan took on the disguise as one of Masa's neighbours who wore a robotic mask that concealed his identity, along a light gray coat, a dark collar, black pants, gloves and boots. After the events of Season 2, Sheridan had been revealed to have severe burns across the left side of his face, losing some of his hair. His hologram depicts him with a younger and clean, shaven appearance. His outfit resembles his scientist outfit, albeit being entirely white.
Personality
When interacting with Tari, Sheridan is something of a father figure. He gently encourages Tari and pushes her to do her best when training her at games.
As he continues teasing and completing Project Blue, Sheridan shows signs of mental instability. He is seen laughing madly and growing more disturbing as time goes on.
This insanity has now led to straight-up villainy, as in Fatal Error, it reveals that he placed a control bug on Masa to shoot Lucks dead, and wishes to take "revenge" on Tari.
After the accident, Sheridan has been shown to have gone completely insane, frequently going on long rants and acting incredibly energetically and constantly joyful regardless of the situation. He’s also gained an incredibly short temper, childishly claiming he didn’t want Belle and Masa on his team when they refuse to join. His hatred of Lucks also shows much more as he refuses to be compared to Lucks or be considered inferior than him. Despite his insanity, Sheridan at least manages to maintain a part of his calmness in some situations and is still determined to ensure that he would do anything to win, even if it meant enslaving those who had worn his creations for the sake of it.
