MURDER DRONES - Episode 3: The Promening is the third episode of Season 1 of Murder Drones and the forty-second video overall to be uploaded on the GLITCH channel.

This episode was aired on February 17, 2023.

Synopsis

Will you go to the prom with me? 🔪😈

Plot

The episode opens on Kelsey Day running from someone, when suddenly her glasses break. The someone is revealed to be Doll, who uses the Absolute Solver to rotate the school's camera and forcefully rips Kelsey's right arm off. She then kills Kelsey with three cleavers.

Doll returns to her home, using telekinesis to put her books on the shelf, while crossing out Kelsey's name on a list. Her bag is shown to be full of oil and possibly Kelsey's corpse. She then says that she's home to her "mom" and "dad", while the camera pans to a swarm of cockroaches on the walls and two bodies.

The scene then cuts to Uzi on sleep mode with the text "GUILT: ACTIVE" on her visor. It is revealed that Uzi feels guilty about what she said to N after their battle with Eldritch J. The camera zooms out to show that her room is a mess, with even more papers and notebooks on the floor. She focuses on a drawing made by N of him and Uzi, thanking her for being his friend. She groans in response.

Her groaning is stretched out to her class, gym, and opening her locker. The stack of books she stands on gets kicked off by Rebecca. Uzi angrily tries to hit her, only to hit Bradon instead. As Rebecca and another worker drone indirectly mock her for not having anyone to go to prom with, she sighs and walks away. Uzi notices a board full of missing posters, and turns to see the school janitor cleaning up an oil spillage, with a security camera facing the wrong way and glitching. Realizing a potential connection to the Solver, she begins to cackle and takes the missing posters back to her room in her house. However, when Uzi tries to add the posters to her collage, she sees that everything is gone. As it turns out, Khan removed them and stashed them away in closet, labeled "NORI'S KOOKY STUFF", which belongs to his deceased wife.

Khan then walks onto Uzi angrily sulking, who then yells at him for snooping in her room. Khan believes her way of “coping” isn't right as he reads from a book. Uzi calls Khan out for previously being neglectful and tries to leave to talk to N, only to see a skeleton of a child in a dress. Uzi questions it, and Khan says that it's her prom dress, and that she's grounded from seeing the murder drones. It is also revealed that Khan and her teacher got Lizzy and Doll to help Uzi prepare for prom, and that Khan himself is chaperoning. Uzi screams in a fit of rage.

Her screaming transitions to two skeletons, one in a suit and one in a red sparkling dress, sitting against each other in a pod. It is revealed that V wanted N to find the clothes so that they could get into the school prom. While N is tempted to put on the suit, he decides not to due to believing that interacting with the workers, specifically Uzi, is too dangerous given that they can turn into eldritch monsters upon sustaining too much damage, while V only cares about her plan of showing up to prom and killing everyone, including Uzi. N refuses to help V, and wonder if she is even concerned about what they are. V's personality suddenly shifts as her face gains a terrified expression. V then says that she promises to only kill what they need to survive if N and Uzi stop trying to investigate their past, and looks at the key for her chains with N.

Meanwhile, Uzi, Lizzy and Doll have arrived at Doll's house. Lizzy complains about the place being dirty, while Doll says that she put a sheet up, as "they're" sleeping. Uzi tries to leave, but the door gets shut. Lizzy insists that Uzi gets ready, but when she tries to leave again, Doll teleports behind her. Uzi notices wrinkled missing posters in Doll's trashcan, who then tells her that the bathroom is down the hall to the left. Uzi backs away from Doll and heads into bathroom.

The scene then cuts back to N and V, who are both still looking at the key. N asks V if she's hiding something, as V looks away from N. N proceeds to asks V what she knows before quickly having his head cut off by V, who tells him that she knows only what's best for him, even if N hates her for it, as she flys off, leaving N in the landing pod.

Back in Doll's house, Uzi rustles her hair as she gets dressed. The AbsoluteSolver symbol then appears on her eye, as she covers it, saying not this mirror and calling it Robo-Satan. She removes her hand, only for the symbol to break the mirror. As Uzi jumps onto the sink counter, trying not to let it make so much noise and shushing it, she hears Lizzy telling Doll that nobody will miss Uzi and for Doll to do her thing so that Lizzy can let V in. Uzi is then startled by a dripping noise. She looks where the dripping noise is coming from and proceeds to open a curtain, gasping as she sees what's inside.

The scene then shifts to N waking up, as he realizes V has escaped with the dress and hurries to stop her. But before he leaves, N decides to put on the suit after failing to resist the temptation.

Cutting back to Uzi, it is revealed that Doll has a massive amount of oil stained and shattered mirrors in her bath. Uzi then hears Doll's footsteps outside the bathroom and looks for a way to escape. As Doll enters the room, she realizes Uzi has used to her mirrors to escape out through a vent.

Uzi is then seen running away from the colony outside, but is suddenly knocked off balance by N's sudden appearance. After an awkward back and forth, N tries to leave but is stopped by Uzi, who blushes in embarrassment about asking for help. N, seeing this as a sign of their friendship fixed, declares them as dapper buddies and they head back inside.

The scene then shifts to the prom room, now full of students with music playing. Khan looks around the room, wondering where Uzi is. Lizzy then appears onstage, announcing that the prom queen is being chosen early due to the entire prom court disappearing, and introduces V onstage. All the workers freak out upon seeing V, but Lizzy tries to assure them that V is done with killing, revealing that the two of them have been hanging out for a while. V reveals that she manipulated Lizzy and laughs manically, but stops upon realizing she has been chosen as prom queen, and notices a crown for her to wear, to which she is disgusted by.

Doll smiles menacingly and crushes the list of prom queen names in her hand. Lizzy regains her composure and threatens the students into forgiving V, otherwise she'll get her dad to dock their grades and will refuse to have Rebecca sit with her. Everyone gives in and begins to cheer for V, while Khan tries to escape but is stopped by Doll's Solver, which locks the only exit. V has the crown placed on her head and she decides to kill everyone later. As Doll is about to skewer V with metal poles under the stage, she is suddenly stopped by the appearance of Uzi and N.

The two are confused upon seeing V onstage, and Doll regains her composure and skewers V's arms with two metal poles. Lizzy tries to warn V but is too late, with her being thrown off the stage by Doll's solver. Two workers are killed in the chaos by Doll, who shows V memories of her killing her parents, which also explains how she obtained the picture of V in “Heartbeat”. Doll shoves another pole through V's stomach, however, V manages to free her right arm and begins shooting at Doll, who blocks the bullets with a forcefield. Doll slices off V's arm with a cleaver and begins to rotate a ceiling fan rapidly.

Uzi and N pull their act together and save V from being cut in half by a ceiling fan that was launched by Doll. The lock on the exit breaks and all the students run out of the room, with Khan staying behind in the hallway. Doll brings up how the Disassembly Drones are responsible for Nori's death, but Uzi believes that both species need to move forward in order to become better. Doll decides she doesn't need Uzi's help and skewers N's leg with a metal pole, while launching two more ceiling fans at the trio. N pushes Uzi out of the way before he and V are cut up by the fans.

Khan tries to run back in to help Uzi, but is stopped by Doll, who rotates her head 180 degrees and locks the exit once more.

• It has been revealed that Murder Drones takes place in the year 3071.
• When Uzi first enters Doll's room she almost steps on a robot roach, but doesn't, and the roach moves its arms in a thanking motion.
• Thad has no lines in this episode.
