Synopsis[]
SMG4 holds a bike race for the entire crew with a SECRET PRIZE at the end.... only problem is Mario don't know how to ride a bike 🤡
Plot[]
Out in the middle of the woods, SMG4 stands in front of six of his gang members, who are mounted on bicycles, being divided into teams. SMG3, Luigi and Tari in one team, and Mario, Meggy and Boopkins in the other. SMG4 has organized a "family friendly bike race" for everyone to participate in, as a way of making them get along with each other, on account of how they all constantly get into fights. Meggy assures she's friends with Mario, who agrees, while SMG3 claims that he doesn't bully anyone, though Tari says otherwise. SMG4 says that they shall participate so that they become friends, but Meggy and SMG3 separately say how being in such a race isn't fair, citing how the other team aren't fairly equipped. Nonetheless, SMG4 says that they'll have to work together in order to navigate through the forest and finish the race, saying that whichever team wins will receive a secret prize. Everyone is riled up, especially Mario, and they are all determined to win. SMG4 then gives the countdown before giving the big GO, and the race is on.
Everyone, sans Mario, who is still stuck on his bike and falls flat, but still on it, zooms onward. SMG3, Luigi and Tari take the lead, while Meggy and Boopkins are forced to double back to Mario. Meggy orders Mario to pedal, but he thinks it's like riding a motorcycle, evident from him trying to use the nonexistent accelerator, and also BSoD'ing after being asked if he knows how to use it, making it very clear that he doesn't know how to use a bike. Irritated, Meggy decides to quickly teach Mario, first by showing him how to balance. Although he is able to, he immediately fails after tripping over a rock. Meggy demands him to focus, telling him to find balance. Taking a deep breath, Mario meditates; he finds himself perfectly balanced at the peak of a mountain, but he immediately fails because of the memes. Annoyed more, Meggy decides to just solve the problem by swiping Boopkins' training wheels off of his bike, and installing them on Mario's. Next, she tries teaching him to put his feet on the pedals. However, he can't even do it, and repeatedly puts his foot where it shouldn't be, which causes Meggy to reach her breaking point. She angrily puts his feet where they belong, and then fervently but creepily tells him to push, gently. Mario does so, and as if getting a stroke of genius, he instantly learns how to ride a bicycle at last. Excited, he does donuts, wheelies, and backflips, much to Meggy and Boopkins' excitement, but things take a turn when Mario again trips on the same rock, sending his bike flung away and exploding, leaving only the bell, which is accidentally swallowed by Boopkins; as a result, all of his speech is replaced by ringing. This is the last straw for Meggy, who furiously decides to piggyback Mario while riding her bike, with Boopkins following them by wheelieing on his bike, and the race is back on for them.
Meanwhile, the others are far up ahead, with SMG3 saying the other team won't catch up to them because of Mario. They then take a different path, which is a very bumpy road, which in turn causes Luigi to fall of his bike. After getting back on, he asks if SMG3 knows what he's doing, to which he says he does, saying all they have to do is follow the signs—he points to some crudely drawn posters stuck to the trees. Tari grabs one, asking if they really should be following them, and shows it to SMG3, who looks closely at it; there's an ominous crude drawing of Tari, Luigi and SMG3's decapitated heads stuck to a long stake, but 3 obliviously thinks it's fanart of him. Nevertheless, he says to continue following the signs, but not before accidentally driving into a tree, before the three continue the race. A little while later, they come across a foggy bridge, where SMG3 assures he knew where they were going the whole time, but things take a dark turn when they hear growling. They spot a lanky and tall dark figure in the distance, who turns out to be Slenderman, much to their panic. As he ominously walks towards them, things take another turn when Slenderman recognizes the pages that SMG3 is carrying, which are his assignment papers. He excitedly thanks SMG3 for finding his assignment, explaining that he was writing a report for Mascot Horror School. A flashback shows that he was walking to his school earlier, but the wind blew away his papers, leaving him distraught. While Tari and Luigi are saddened by Slendy's story, SMG3 couldn't care any more, and decides to continue, despite Slenderman's pleas for help. Tari decides to lend him her bike, much to SMG3's shock, with Luigi giving his as well, since Slenderman is too lanky to use just one small bike. Even though 3 tries to stop this, Slendy boards the combo bicycle put together, Tari backpacks his assignment, and they all share a goodbye hug before Slenderman leaves. SMG3 is furious, as now they have little chance to win the race. There is however, a solution—SMG3 piggybacking both Tari and Luigi for the rest of the journey.
Back to the other team, Meggy is getting extremely tired of carrying Mario, who is isn't really bothered trying to lighten up the load, so Meggy tries asking Boopkins to take a turn instead. However, before Fishy can give an answer, he spots Slenderman nearby, riding to his school. Panicked, he tries warning the others about Slenderman, but Mario can't understand his ringing at all. Slenderman, who is totally blind, hears the ringing, and thinks it's the school bell, and races towards them. Boopkins' ringing just gets louder and louder, to the point of sounding like a siren. He tries defending himself by throwing his bike at Slendy, who just grabs it, using it to drive faster. Mario turns his head and alerts everyone of Slenderman, to which Meggy panics, and grabs Boopkins before pedaling to hide in the bushes, with Slenderman riding away, none the wiser. With everyone safe for now, Mario suddenly spots the finish line, where SMG4 is standing with the secret prize. Mario and Boopkins jump for joy, unknowingly crushing Meggy even more. At that moment, the other team, consisting of SMG3, Luigi and Tari sharing a bike, arrives, right next to Mario, Meggy and Boopkins. The odds even, they prepare to race to the end for the prize.
With the race back on proper, the opposing teams try decking each other into losing balance, essentially cheating. Mario elongates his nose to strike SMG3; he retaliates by switching places with Tari and throwing some of his bombs at Boopkins, who lets out a loud yell of pain that sounds like a honking alarm; Mario leans towards the other team and elbows them, nearly tripping over, but they manage to steady themselves. Soon, Mario and Luigi get into an angry argument in Italian about them cheating, which culminates in Luigi jumping onto Mario and fistfighting, crushing Meggy even more, which is then broken up by SMG3, who picks up Luigi and completely trips over Mario, Meggy and Boopkins. Mario gets back on his feet, and is shocked to see Meggy and Boopkins unconscious. Going up to Meggy, who has taken the brunt of everything, she gives some last words of encouragement, urging Mario to finish the race. Worried, Mario gets back on Meggy's bike, piggybacking both Meggy and Boopkins, and he is frightened to pedal. He once again meditates, successfully getting determined to win after remembering his opponent's words. Charging up his pedaling, Mario zooms forward, overtaking SMG3's team, and zips in front of him. SMG3 tries throwing bombs at Mario, who quickly dodges them. Remembering Meggy's words of finding balance, Mario does so, effortlessly dodging more bombs while making very steep hairpin turns, much to SMG3's fury. He tries throwing Luigi at them, but he ends up becoming a roadblock for Mario to overtake, leaving them behind the other team. As Mario tries catching up, he spots a natural ramp formed by fallen trees and rocks. Remembering Meggy's first order to pedal to the metal, Mario does exactly that, once again overtaking the others, and launching himself up in the air, much to the other team's amazement. As the final blow, Mario throws the rock from earlier at the other team, felling SMG3 and Tari, allowing Mario to strike the landing at the finish line, thus winning the game.
With the race over, Mario and Boopkins celebrate their victory, with Meggy briefly coming round to congratulate Mario. SMG3 however is angry at losing, and gets a hand from Mario. Thinking Mario means well, he extends his hand, only for Mario to trollishly flip him off, before mocking the rest for losing. SMG4 arrives, praising the winners, and decides to give them the prize. As everyone watches, excitement turns to despondence when 4 reveals the prize—a shiny new bike bell. Disappointed by this bad prize, everyone just walks off without saying a word, making SMG4 feel bad. He was hoping that it would be a nice gift, and gives the bell a ring. This causes Slenderman to appear; still blind, he thinks he finally reached his school after hearing the bell, while SMG4 screams in panic.

References[]
- SpongeBob SquarePants: Mario repeatedly putting his foot in the wrong place while Meggy tells him to put it on the pedals of his bike references a scene from "Big Pink Loser", where SpongeBob is trying to teach Patrick how to open a jar by putting his hand on the lid.
- Slender: Slenderman makes an appearance in the episode, along with the static filter that occurs whenever he is close by, similar to The Eight Pages and The Arrival. Slendy's assignment for Mascot Horror School also happens to be the pages from The Eight Pages.
- JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: During Slenderman's introduction, the environment is rendered similar to the battle sequences from the manga and anime, along with the use of menacing Japanese letters. Also, SMG3 says, "NANI?!" similar to Dio Brando.
- Kung Fu Panda: During the episode's climax, Meggy acts like Master Oogway to Mario, telling him to "continue his journey" and that he "must believe", echoing Oogway's final words to Shifu before his death (even fading out into an Oogway shaped stone figure). On another note, Mario's meditative training to find balance, juxtaposed with him balancing on a mountain peak and doing martial arts on it, are similar to Po's training montages, along with his quest to find inner peace.
- AKIRA: Mario does the iconic bike slide near the end of the episode.
