Mario's Plane Trip is the twenty-first episode of Season 14 of the SMG4 series, the six hundred and sixty-fourth within the SMG4 series, and the eight hundred and eighty-fourth video overall to be uploaded on the SMG4 channel.
This is the fifth episode of the Mario's Trip series. The video was uploaded on June 1, 2024.
Synopsis[]
Mario and SMG4 take a trip down to Nintendoooo World ✈
Plot[]
SMG4 and Mario are at the airport, where the latter is super excited to go to Nintendo World. In his excitement, he accidentally hits Shroomy, who was in front of them, onto the luggage conveyor belt, and he gets into some "silly doo hickey hijinx" shortly later. SMG4 meanwhile, gets irked by Mario, and furiously rebukes him by telling him to not be himself. Of course, Mario makes it clear he's excited to go to Nintendo World, showing 4 all the rides there on a TV. SMG4 however, reminds Mario that they've got 12 hours to go via flight, and asks Mario to control his excitement while he gets some rest. Soon, the Customs officer, Karen, calls them over, and asks for papers. SMG4 hands over his as well as Mario's passports, though the latter gets fouled up as he isn't holding it, because 4 doesn't trust him with it. Karen closely observes the passports, but points out Mario's photo looking low quality (due to him having his N64 model there), so Mario morphs into his low-poly form after eating a lemon, and Karen lets them through.
The two then arrive at the post for cabin luggage, where they are greeted by an incredibly overzealous Swag, who orders them at gunpoint to put their "(soon-to-be) contraband" where it should be. Although confused, SMG4 and Mario do so nonetheless. The luggage goes through, and is revealed to contain esoteric and harmful objects. Chris however, isn't paying attention and remains nonchalant, until Swag angrily orders him to search the luggage. SMG4 is concerned with Swag's mistreatment of them; a flashback reveals that he was riding with his "wife" Sonic, until a roadblock (Mario sleeping in the middle of the road) resulted in the unfortunate blue hedgehog getting thrown into a nearby volcano, killing him, but instead of telling that, he demands to know if Chris found any contraband. Chris says Mario's pretty clean, but that is questioned when Swag points out Mario's Beyblade. Mario confirms this, saying he's on a quest to be the best "Pokemon champion". Alas, Swagmaster misinterprets the blade in Beyblade, and soon raises the alarm because of the "contraband". He attempts to arrest SMG4, only to be neutralized by Mario.
The two then make haste and run, only for Swag to (ironically) Beyblade his way towards Mario and SMG4, who are running towards a fire exit. But Mario, who is still dead set on going to Nintendo World, runs towards the windows near a boarding gate, and then launches himself into the nearest taxied plane. There, Mario unknowingly slams the passenger door open into a nearby Karen, with SMG4 and Swag doing as well. Mario runs into the cockpit, and starts fiddling with the controls, trying to get the plane to fly, much to SMG4's annoyance. They are interrupted by Swag, who flicks 4 into Mario with one big slap, and then avenges Sonic, by assaulting Mario with his oversized fist. Karen then comes in, hoping they didn't touch the controls, because the plane was turned on while she was cleaning. Sure enough, the plane gets launched sky high because of Mario. While SMG4 is terrified that they're up in the air, Mario's excitement kicks in, as he again tries fiddling with the controls to get the plane to fly to Nintendo World. Thankfully, Karen dispatches him by going for his head, and subsequently taping him to the class behind the cockpit. Karen hopes that either SMG4 or Swag know how to fly, to which Swag says he can, because of having supposedly gained high scores in flight simulators. Nonetheless, he takes seat, and upon pressing a random button, the entire flight gets thrown about in the air erratically. SMG4 gets thrown about like a pinball, while Karen clings onto a ventilation grate on the ceiling for safety, furiously yelling at Swag. SMG4 steps in, and tries helping by pressing what he thinks is the autopilot, but he blunders, as it turns out to be the automatic firearm security; a pair of machine guns pop up, opening fire at Swag, SMG4 and even Mario. While SMG4 and Swag frantically dodge the onslaught of bullets, Mario falls victim to a majority of them, but the bullets end up freeing him in the process. Mario again tries going to the cockpit, only for Karen to stop him. She tells SMG4 and Swag to ensue that they land safely, while she deals with Mario.
SMG4 and Swag both sit in the pilot seats, knowing nothing about piloting a plane, so SMG4 searches an online tutorial by Kermit the Frog, to learn about flying. Karen meanwhile, makes Mario sit still in a baby chair, but Mario is again, still dead set on going to Nintendo World. Karen tries to get him to behave, only for Mario to throw a tantrum, which gets worse. Karen gets some spaghetti for Mario to eat, provided that he shuts up. Mario is soon fed by Karen, and he calms down. Soon, Karen sees more of Mario, seeing him as a baby, much to her pleasure, and she treats him like one, much to Mario's confusion, but she continues feeding him regardless. Meanwhile, SMG4 and Swag are still following Kermit's tutorial, and after doing Mongolian throat singing, 15 Praise the Suns and saying the pilots' "ancient catchphrase", the video soon ends on a sudden note, but as SMG4 points out, there wasn't anything about flying. But amazingly, Swag is flying the plane without any issue whatsoever. SMG4 then sees his hands glowing, and puts them on the throttle, and he is soon flying like a real pilot. With the crisis averted, he announces that they're going to Nintendo World. Back with Mario and Karen, the former lets out a big belch after finishing his spaghetti, and he is still confused, when Karen gives him some "uppers time", but he soon panics when Karen shakes him up and down. Then she says it's time to take a nap, to which Mario furiously protests, only for him to immediately fall asleep afterwards.
Back in the cockpit, SMG4 and Swag are flying as comfortably as ever, and soon spot Nintendo World right in sight. SMG4 uses the PA address to inform their passengers that they'll be arriving at their destination shortly, but Mario wakes up as soon as he hears "Nintendo World", and once again becomes extremely excited like there's no tomorrow. Karen angrily tries disciplining him, but to no avail. Her POV of Mario as a baby is soon broken, and she soon becomes blinded by rage as a result of the plumber's antics. She gives him one giant slap in an effort to get him to "sit the hell down", but she accidentally chucks him right out the window. Back to the cockpit, SMG4 and Swag discuss things since their ride is almost over. They talk about the ride, and their families back home, with Swag bringing up Sonic. Their discussion is soon interrupted by Mario's screaming however, as he lands right on the plane's windshield. Swag gets startled, and having let go of the controls, the plane begins to plummet. Mario sees that they're going to land in Nintendo World, but the pilots panic as they can't see where they're landing. Also, Karen comes in, exhausted, saying she quits. Swag then declares that this is the "pinnacle" of their careers as pilots, announcing that they'll have to land the plane. SMG4, Swag and Karen all grab the throttle, in an effort to level the plane. Frankie, who is down below on one of the rides, sees the plane coming towards him, and panics, but luckily the plane lands only in time, and Frankie gets a heart attack later.
In the end, Mario sees that they've finally landed, and still overexcited, he runs off to play on the rides, while Karen runs after him. SMG4 says that their job is done, and decides to join Mario, inviting Swag to come. But he says he misses Sonic, and says he'll stay with the plane, which 4 agrees with, before leaving. A photo montage shows SMG4, Mario and Karen enjoying themselves at Nintendo World, along with Swag flying back to his "wife", Sonic, who was revealed to be still alive after the accident.

- The protagonists (Mario and Kirby) go to an amusement park (Super Nintendo World and Merry Magoland) and invited his friends (SMG4 / King Dedede, Meta Knight and Bandana Waddle Dee).
- Both episodes are plane trips.
- The flight is long for the protagonists (12 hours and 5 hours).
- The plane's turbine explodes in both videos causing a crash landing.

- Karen is fully voiced in this episode, making it the fourth episode to do so.
- Swagmaster6969696969 mistakenly thought that Mario's Beyblade is a blade and not a toy.
- Despite Swag's misunderstanding, he is technically in the right to consider Beyblade, or in this case Beyblade X dangerous. Considering there have been cases of the actual products on rare occasion to make actual damage due to the high speed and high hitting nature of the newest iteration.
- The Beyblade joke may have been intentionally timed as the video was uploaded on the same day as the worldwide release of Beyblade X. The image of the Beyblade used, SwordDran, which is introduced in Beyblade X further supports the idea.
