Mario Loses His Mustache is the thirty-fourth episode of Season 14 of the SMG4 series, the six hundred and seventy-seventh within the SMG4 series, and the eight hundred and ninety-eighth video overall to be uploaded on the SMG4 channel.

Synopsis[]
Mario wakes up and realizes his mustache is missing, where did it go? 👀📺
Plot[]
Mario wakes up in his house and finds Luigi with his pet dog, Loogi. However, upon looking at Mario, Luigi evaporates from existence. That's when Mario comes to the horrible realization that his mustache is gone with his powers in it. He desperately searches his house to find it until eventually deciding to look for it in town. As he walks down the street, his friends and citizens of the city are shocked and disgusted by his new look, including Bob, who has just opened a burger shop. When Bob refuses to give Mario some burgers, Mario retaliates by jumping in the air and attempting to destroy the place with a kick until he falls to the ground in midair. Mario worries that he's lost his comedic talent and attempts to do wacky poses but to no avail. He then gets a call from SMG4 who tells Mario that he's scheduled to act out an adventure at 10:00 AM.
Mario arrives at Big Boo's Haunt where he finds SMG4 filming a video of Meggy, Luigi and his dog, and Swag being held hostage by a giant Wario head. Mario attempts to "save" them but his lack of comedic talent prevents him from doing so. SMG4 is frustrated until a mysterious figure who looks suspiciously like Mario shows up and defeats the Wario head using his own wacky poses. Mario discovers that this lookalike has his mustache and he and SMG4 try to get it back from him but can't keep up with his randomness. Due to him sharing the same characteristics as the original Mario, SMG4 gets the idea to bait the lookalike with spaghetti. This plan was about to be successful until Mr. Puzzles intervenes and reveals that he created the new Mario, who he named Pedro. He also explains that after spying on Mario, he discovered that his mustache is what gives him his comedic ability and that's what motivated him to steal it from Mario while he was asleep. Mario grows tired of his monologuing and punches his TV head off, knocking it into Pedro and causing his mustache to fly off. He and Mario both grab the mustache and end up tearing it in half after tugging on both sides. They both place a half on their faces which only results in half of their comedic power returning.
In order to decide who gets the other half, Mr. Puzzles hosts a "Meme Off" in which Mario and Pedro compete to see who can be funnier. SMG3 shows up and convinces SMG4 to rig the voting panel in Mario's favor but Mr. Puzzles threatens them with a barrage of turrets to prevent cheating. The first round of the Meme Off begins which tests the two plumbers on who can make the funnier face. Mario wins the challenge easily but has less luck in the following round, Silliest Pose, as Pedro uses Mario as a skateboard to win the vote from all three judges. For the third and final round, Mario and Pedro have to come up with the best insult. Pedro wows the crowd by calling Mario a "poopyhead" but Mario earns boos by reciting Wheatley's adoption insult from Portal 2. Just when it seems that all hope is lost for Mario, the plumber receives helpful chants from his disembodied mustache, motivating him to use the power of memes to come up with the ultimate insult that causes the whole crowd to roar in laughter and earn a vote from all the judges.
With Mario victorious, he regains the other half of his mustache, transforming him back into the beloved meme character we all know. Meanwhile, Pedro sadly walks out of the arena in defeat, realizing he has been a pawn in Mr. Puzzles' game. Feeling sympathetic, Mario draws a mustache for Pedro. The two former rivals shake hands, and Pedro apologizes to Mario for the trouble he caused earlier. Mario forgives him and encourages him to leave Mr. Puzzles' team, which Pedro happily agrees to do. They walk out of the stadium together as friends. The two then drive off into the sunset in a red Ferrari, with Mario’s mustache and powers fully restored, leaving Mr. Puzzles infuriated and alone once more. The episode ends on a wholesome note.

Trivia[]
- The episode reveals that the mustache is Mario's main source of idiotic weirdness, similar to the memes and his Meme-lobe being SMG4's main source.
- This is further supported by how Mario's mustache was the first thing that was visibly affected after Mario was zapped by the USB Pod in SMG4's Origins.
- Out of all of the characters' negative reactions to a mustache-less Mario, Bob and SMG4 are the only characters to withstand his mustache-less appearance.
- However it should be noted that Bob called Mario a fetus before noticing his problem.
- Despite the thumbnail depicting Mario inside of The SMG4 Castle, the castle does not appear.
- This is one of the few episodes to have a fully wholesome ending (not counting Mr. Puzzles being all alone again).
- Mr. Puzzles sounds noticeably different in this episode, likely due to Brendan's mic quality.
- Bob receives a nametag for his subtitles in this episode.

- Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: The background audio in Mario's head chants his name, which happens when the main player's character is in the lead of a match.
- Fallout 3: The judges have a green pop up box saying "Everyone liked that."
- South Park: Mario quotes a character from this show before putting a final rant to Pedro.
- Chowder: The plot of Mario losing his mustache is similar to how Mung Daal doesn't like when his mustache is ruined or lost.
