Mario Plays Roblox DOORS is the 43rd episode of the Mario Does Things series and the 780th overall uploaded on the SMG4 channel.

It serves as a sequel to Mario Plays Roblox.

Synopsis

Mario plays a very SPOOOOOKY game called DOORS and has a fun time

Plot

Prologue

Unsatisfied with the other games he has played, Mario summons Satan for a more "wholesome" game. When Mario sees that Satan has brought him Roblox DOORS, he objects, but agrees when Satan scares him.

Attempt 1

Despite the warning, Mario initially doesn't believe that it's a horror game until he finds an unlit room. There, he has his first encounter with Screech, who ends up killing him.

Attempt 2

On his next attempt, Mario finds a bottle of pills, and is appalled that he can just consume them for extra health and speed. He tells the viewers to not do drugs, and to take Super Mushrooms instead.

Attempt 3

Mario becomes scared by the ambience and noises, until he hears something. Opening the vent, he sees that a monster is checking out Markiplier's OnlyFans. Mario promptly shoots the monster, unaffected by its attempts to scare him.

Attempt 4

One of the rooms Mario encounters has him up against Halt, and he has too constantly back up. Once he's in the next room, Mario tries to celebrate his victory but is so frightened that he ends up breaking down crying.

Attempt 5

While checking out the drawers, Mario encounters Timothy the Spider, who attacks him in real life. Mario's attempts at shooting the spider are futile, as the spider lives, and Mario has a big hole in his face.

Attempt 6

It isn't long before Mario finds himself face to face with Rush. Finding the silence awkward, Mario plays it "All I Want For Christmas Is You" Megalovania-style before getting jumpscared.

Attempt 7

Throughout Mario's next attempt, he keeps getting jumpscared and eventually killed by Screech. Mario becomes desensitized to the scares and insults it for pulling no hoes.

Attempt 8

During the painting minigame, Mario finds a painting that resembles the 21 kid, and calls the reference stupid, causing the painting to angrily attack Mario.

Attempt 9

Mario then has another run in with Rush. Rush is not amused by Mario offering his buttocks and kills him.

Attempt 10

On his next run, Mario has a light, but finds himself still susceptible to Screech. Annoyed, Mario asks Oofio "why isn't it possible?"

Attempt 11

At the end of a long hall, Mario finds himself up against Seek. Despite claiming to be having fun, Mario is panicking until Seek catches up to him. Unhappy that he's still alive outside the game, Mario shoots himself.

Attempt 12

When Mario recovers, he becomes broken, repeatedly hitting "e" on the typewriter. SMG4 resolves this by taking past Mario in the video and replacing the broken current one.

Attempt 13

Now fully functioning, Mario encounters an eye in the wall. He pokes it, but then Seek reappears. Mario eventually beats Seek, and celebrates his victory, but the demons point out it took him ten thousand attempts to do so.

Attempt 14

Mario reaches the library, and scares off the figure by calling it ugly. He re-encounters it at the 100th floor, and taunts it before it starts attacking. Mario hides under the bed, and races to the elevator, only to find a puzzle for it. Outraged, Mario points at a gun at the screen, and the puzzle solves itself.

Epilogue

After another quick scare, Mario snaps and jumpscares the viewer, causing the video to get “YOU DIED” screen on it. He then turns on "real Roblox," declaring it his favorite thing ever, and then simply tells the viewers to never show him Doors ever again.

• Colin Rodgers admits that horror games were difficult for him to play, but was willing to record and collect footage for the video to overcome some of his fears, spending over 30 hours doing so.
  • He also mentions that the turn-in game scene to be a banger transition, though admits was unintentional, but proud of it regardless.
• Colin Rodgers admits that he loves the Gentle Breeze meme, while being happy that he was given a chance to use it in a video.
• During the "Real Roblox" segment, Colin admitted that he just entered the first Roblox game he saw, with the rest being poor collision history.
• This is the first appearance of Satan the Devil since SMG4: The Floor is Lava.
• The game Mario was playing, Roblox DOORS, was released in August 2022, but it did not gained a huge traction until late 2022, which coincides with the plannings of adding an age rating system to Roblox itself.
• This is the one of few videos that doesn't feature modern characters aside from SMG4.
• The fourth wall break happens when SMG4 moves the progress of video to the previous.
