Mario Reacts To Nintendo Memes But If He Laughs He Dies is the fiftieth episode of the Mario Does Things series and the eight hundredth overall to be uploaded on the SMG4 channel. It was uploaded on March 29, 2023.
This episode is the twelfth sequel to Mario Reacts To Nintendo Memes.
Synopsis[]
Mario finds the unreleased episode where he watches some more Nintendo memes, but if he laughs, he explodes 😊
Plot[]
Prologue[]
While raiding SMG4's RV for food, Mario comes across a "lost episode" of the Mario Does Things series: a Nintendo Memes video where if he laughs, he blows up. Mario pops it into the VCR, ready to be traumatized again.
In the video, Mario is not satisfied with all of the Nintendo Memes episodes and wants to try something new. His gimmick involves blowing up if he laughs, which happens when he laughs in excitement.
Mario 64 with Goofy Ahh sounds[]
Mario starts to snicker at this meme, causing the bomb to keep a close "eye" on him.
Peach's dogsh*t cake[]
Mario remarks "women," earning him a slap from the princess.
MrYoshi[]
Mario reacts excitedly when he sees Yoshi do the "MrBeast" pose in Mario Party Superstars.
Spinning Pokémon[]
Mario starts to laugh. The bomb dares him to do it, which Mario thinks is directed towards the Pokémon meme, and he too starts spinning. The bomb is displeased, as that's not what it meant.
Mario Balloon[]
Mario is absent for this one, as he was fetching his balloon; the same one that was terrorizing the house in the video.
Link x Ganon?[]
Ganon sticks his fingers up Link's ass. Mario offhandedly remarks that he wishes it were him, causing the bomb to look at him suspiciously.
The Funniest Nintendo Memes[]
Despite the segment name, Mario doesn't find any of the memes funny, and goes to hang himself.
Headphone Warning[]
The warning displays a picture of a headset. Mario is not impressed, and disintegrates when the volume finally increases.
ISABELLE NO[]
A women kicks Isabelle off a punching bag. Mario wonders where the funny is, which gets answered when Isabelle slams into him.
Draw the Mario[]
Mario does a rather poor job of following the video.
Nice Balls[]
A post seemingly by the official Nintendo Twitter features an image with this caption. Mario slams on his keyboard to contain his laughter, only to stumble across a tweet saying he is a furry. Mario simply vanishes.
8-Bit Smash[]
The video has Bowser beat up Mario before he can touch the axe. By the time the game is done, Mario is in bandages and a wheelchair.
No saying cuss words, guys![]
Mario says a line of profanity, going against what the video was preaching.
Coughing Mushrooms[]
Mario watches himself cough loudly as he grabs a Mega Mushroom. Despite being on the verge of laughing, Mario declares it not funny.
Mario's Backstory[]
Mario deems the video inaccurate, and gives the viewer the real "Mario lore": him dancing on spaghetti.
Mario vs Lasers[]
The Mario in the video falls apart. Mario then does the trick in real life to prove it wrong, only to also fall apart.
Little Club Penguin Lost[]
A club penguin character dances near Mario. This is a horrible judgment of character, as Mario quickly throws it off the cliff.
Engage Pixilation[]
To hide his laughter from the bomb, Mario turns the video quality to 144p, like the video he is watching. The bomb isn't sure if it's allowed or not.
Dancing Wooper[]
Mario dances along with and mimics a Wooper, including multiplying his head and setting fire to the place, which ends up killing him. The bomb is upset that the fire "took his job."
The Crude Goomba[]
Mario is so appalled that he heads out.
Mario Respects Women...[]
Mario is pleased by this, only for the video to cut to him punching Peach in boxing. Peach responds by slapping him again.
Mario Without The Hat[]
With a deformed head, Mario foolishly believes that he is smart.
The Strange Yoshi[]
Mario comes across a Quagsire, who yells at every "bah!" in the overworld theme. To take it down, Mario claims that the princess is stinky and blames it on the Quagsire, earning it a slap.
Italian Little Mac[]
Mario is initially happy by this "fact" until it shows a picture of Little Mac replacing him. Mario challenges him to a fight, which he loses when Little Mac pulls out the remover tool.
SUUUUUU[]
In the meme, a Donkey Kong head gets shot out of a cannon, and the head then latches onto Mario. Mario said it wasn't funny. When the bomb takes the head away, Mario decides he wants to stay as a monkey, leading him to take the head back and put it on.
Mario & Luigi vs Sephiroth[]
Recalling how easy it was to kick Sephiroth around, Mario thinks he can take him. The bomb responds by calling in the real Sephiroth, but instead of killing Mario, he just tries to get him to laugh. An unamused Mario calls in Luigi, and they both approach with hammers.
Bart vs Homer but its Smash[]
To hide his laughter, Mario says "LMAO." The bomb doesn't know if it counts or not. The otaku claims that if it counted for Bob, it should count for Mario, too. Mario responds by sending him out the same way Homer did to Bart.
Mario Forgets How To Laugh (Epilogue)[]
Mario cycles through multiple memes, but is seemingly unable to laugh. He declares victory until a "peepee poopoo" joke caused him to burst into laughter, causing the bomb to explode.

- This would be the last Mario Does Things episode that Colin Rodgers solely written and was credited for overall. Colin Rodgers would leave the SMG4 series sometime afterward. He briefly wrote the Super Mario Bros. & Friends When I Grow Up segment in Video ends when Mario gets 1 IQ ft. Luigi but wasn't credited for such scene.
