Mimikyu is a dual-type Ghost/Fairy Pokémon introduced in Generation VII. In the SMG4 series, Mimikyu made a one-time appearance in Super Mario Guides: HOW TO CATCH POKEMON. It continuously asked Mario to catch it.
History[]
When Mario was searching for Pokémon, Mimikyu was behind him, but Mario was distracted. When Mario was setting a trap Mimikyu was next to him, but Mario pushes it to the side, mistaking it for a mop. He was one of the things Mario fishes (he was disguised as a fish). It was one of the Pokémon that Mario was looking to do a Z-Move to but was rejected.
When Mario gives up and cries, Mimikyu then tells Mario that it wants to be his Pokémon. Mario hugs Mimikyu, accidentally pulling off its disguise. Mimikyu's true form is unleashed, giving Mario diabetes and causing him to explode.
