Puzzlevision (stylized as PUZZLEVISION) is a story saga and a collection of, as of 2025, seven interconnected comedy-thriller storylines in the SMG4 series. It is the second large-scale saga in the series, following The SMG4 Cosmology Lore. The saga focuses on the titular character, Mr. Puzzles, who tries to exploit the SMG4 Crew for entertainment as part of numerous plans to take over their show and universe.
In the first story, SMG4 spirals into madness trying to create the perfect video after buying a cursed keyboard. In the second, Meggy, Tari, and the others are trapped in a Wild West simulation by her idol, Oneshot Wren. The third story sees SMG4 and SMG3 team up to stop Marty and Mario from discovering a secret pizza recipe in SMG3's notebook. In the fourth, Mr. Puzzles reveals himself as the mastermind behind their past events, using them for entertainment for his streaming service, “Puzzlevision" and traps them in TV parodies to get a good Star Rating, obtaining control in the real world. In the fifth, Mr. Puzzles befriends Meggy (in her Leggy form) to infiltrate SMG4's meme factory and become the next comedic sensation. The sixth chapter follows Mr. Puzzles as he takes over the entertainment giant Didney, seeking revenge on the entire SMG4 cast. But this plan also failed because Meggy persuaded Mr. Puzzles to give up his ambitions. Despite his well-intentioned change of heart, Mr. Puzzles was ultimately arrested and locked in a padded cell, though he connected with Mr. WPNZ.
Luke himself said about this storyline that it's something far bigger and more ambitious in scale than a singular arc, despite discordant claims that various chapters are still labeled as arcs.
SMG4 and his friends lives change forever as they are forced to survive bizarre challenges orchestrated by a sinister dark force using them for entertainment to become famous, all while secretly chasing something he’s wanted his entire life. With the show's legacy and universe at complete stake, the crew must take every step that will test their courage and every puzzle that will challenge their mind to escape the bizarre horrors as their bond and friendship will grow stronger like never before, all while trying not to lose their minds and go insane in the process.
AHHHHHHH IT'S WOTFI 2023! And we did something VERY different this year. SMG4 & SMG3 have to infiltrate Marty's casino but Mario is his bodyguard and has riddled the casino with traps! We got the fans to vote and help plan out what to do... and the choices they make affect the WOTFI and ending! LET'S SEE HOW IT ALL PLAYS OUT!
Mr. Puzzles invites the gang to his pizzeria for the birthday of Scooby Mario! But the party is canceled once Chef Bob goes missing. Can the gang find him before it's too late?
This storyline is the second to have a consistent overarching villain for most of its story.
It's considered to be one of the darkest arcs/sagas in the series, with such examples as Meggy Spletzer getting psychologically tortured by her idol and becoming permanently traumatized, Mario turning against his Meme Guardians to steal SMG3's Sussy Notebook, Mr. Puzzles kidnapping the Gang for his entertainment, Mr. Puzzles throwing Mickey Mouse off the top of the balcony at Didney World, him crushing Meggy back to Leggy by force offscreen and brainwashing the SMG4 Gang in Spooky looking actors.
It's the second SMG4 Arc/Saga to have parodies in episodes. The first is The Lawsuit Arc because of the Breaking Bad scenes and episode.
This story states that SMG3 has officially redeemed himself for all of his past actions against SMG4 and his friends.
Much like all the rest of the arcs/sagas, PUZZLEVISION features an underlying satirical theme regarding the manipulative, shallow, and overtly pandering practices of the entertainment industry as a whole, as well as the lengths they will go to eradicate competition or induct new recruits at the expense of authenticity, namely in independent creators.
During this, Luke decided to do more experimental videos for the SMG4 channel, continuing the TV Parody episodes and Mr. Puzzles as just a recurring occurrence.
It is the longest story in the series in terms of episodes, with currently 61, as well as the longest in terms of time, being ongoing for now 111 weeks as of April 13, 2025.
