Piantas are islanders with palm trees on their heads and wear grass skirts who reside on islands such as Isle Delfino, Sunshine Isle, etc. In SMG4's videos, they have a major role in SMG4: Stupid Mario Sunshine (a parody of Super Mario Sunshine) where someone is graffitiing the entire island disguised as Mario and he Is blamed for it.
The Piantas all think Mario is at fault and as a result order him to clean up the island and bring back the Shine Sprites. Even after Bowser Jr.'s defeat the Piantas still chase Mario in the end, due to him destroying their town.
The Piantas were amongst the many victims of the T-Pose Virus.

- Since their debut, they have become too more violent due to their town being destroyed by Mario and later in SMG4 Movie: Meggy's Destiny, It was revealed that they have transported Meggy to Peach's Castle.
- Their Town have been destroyed again by Meggy, due to him launching Mario in the void, which could be seen in Mario Reacts To Nintendo Memes 11 ft. Meggy.
