Rabbits are small, fast, and furry mammals with long ears and large hind paws. In the Mario franchise, they often hold important items and tend to flee if approached.
In SMG4 series[]
In SMG4 series, a yellow rabbit called MIPS is a mischievous, minor character. While he very rarely appears in SMG4's bloopers, one of his appearances is in Super Mario 64 Bloopers: HALL 9000. In this episode, he went into the castle, but the security system raped him.
His biggest and most prominent role, however, is in Easter 2016: The Explosive Easter Hunt., when he goes crazy from eating too much of Luigi's chocolate. After the giant egg bomb exploded, sending Mario, Luigi, Toad, and SMG4 to the hospital, MIPS is seen asking SMG4 for chocolate. It is unknown what happened to him after that.
MIPS reappears in SMG4: Mario Does The Chores, he remains in the basement and helds a gun, thus scaring Bob Bobowski making him unable to clean the basement as told by Peach. Mario tries to help him clean but MIPS is too dangerous, he then sees Luigi and tells him that Peach told Luigi to clean the basement, and then get's shot by MIPS many times. He is also later seen near the end of the video chasing Bob down the hallway.
The Rabbids, first appearing in SMG4: Stupid Mario Rabbids, live in a town called Rabbid Town. Some were taken by Wario, so he could make a army. So he used a machine called the Wario-tron 6000 to create WAHbbids. Rabbid Mario set out to find some help to rescue Rabbid Luigi. They eventually rescue Rabbid Luigi and return to Rabbid Town. The Rabbids and Mario then go to stop Wario. They eventually stop Wario with Bob-ombs, the explosion throwing Wario in the machine changing him into a garlic. Back at Rabbid Town the heroes are congrats by everyone and when Mario ask how to go back at his dimension, they say they don't know how and they can dance.
