Rocks are classic recurring characters and items in the SMG4 series.
These rocks are a species that appeared in a lot of the earlier seasons. One such rock is sentient and it has magical powers.

- SMG4's sister, Tish Lerdwichagul, came up with the idea for the rocks, as stated in the credits of Rocks' debut appearance, Super Mario 64 Bloopers: The SwitcherooOveralls.
- It was revealed in SM64: The SMG4 QNA (400k subs :D) that the Rocks are Luke Lerdwichagul's favorite character, however a 2020 Q&A on the SMG4 subreddit reveals his favorite character is Steve.
- Rocks are Fishy Boopkins' favorite food. If it were to be thrown up, it transforms into Spike Balls, as in many other digested food Spikes eat.
- They can be considered as the first original characters with a completely original designs.
