Grand Theft Mario is the twenty-second episode of Season 13 of the SMG4 series, the six hundred and seventeenth within the series, and the eight hundred and seventeenth video overall to be uploaded on the SMG4 channel.

It is the thirteenth episode of the PUZZLEVISION collection, and the first episode of the second story, marking the first appearance of Tari's new design and Meggy's graduation from her college. The video was uploaded on June 17, 2023.

Synopsis

Meggy graduates and Mario does something very illegal.

Plot

Mario and Tari with her new design arrive at Meggy's house to pick her up. Meggy is very excited, as she is finally graduating from Omnia Academy. Determined not to miss her big event, she opts to drive, putting Mario in the backseat. The car is very shabby, and when Meggy asks Mario where he got it, he reveals that Bob gave it to him in a hurry. Sure enough, the three hear something from the trunk, and upon opening it, find a Pianta tied up. As Mario insists that he didn't know, Tari finds a kitten stuck up a tree. Meggy doesn't want to be late, but allows Tari to try and rescue it. When she fails, Mario blows up the tree (and the kitten) with a grenade.

Before they can return to the car, Meggy finds that the Pianta from before is siphoning their gas. While Mario fights back, Tari feebly tries to tell him off, to no avail. With the gas gone, the three have to push the car to the next gas station. All the while, Mario becomes tired while asking questions, and Meggy refuses to talk to him for his laziness, but develops an urge to just hijack someone else's vehicle, and nearly succeeds, but Meggy refuses to let him. Once they reach the gas station, Meggy goes inside to pay the store runner, Aziz Yousi, while Tari fills the car up and Mario goes to the restroom. A mob of Piantas arrive to take their car back. Tari objects, and tries to tell them that they need it for Meggy's graduation, but they laugh at her and take the car.

Mario returns, and when Tari explains what happened, hijacks a vehicle to reclaim the stolen car. Though the car is wrecked, he is able to get it back. Meggy steps outside, and is too worried about being late to dwell on the damaged car. She makes it to Omnia Academy and officially graduates, thanking her friends for being with her. She then pulls Mario and Tari aside, apologizing for rushing them and says that she is especially thankful for them. Now that Meggy is an official sports coach, Tari asks if she can be Meggy's first student, which Meggy happily agrees to.
