If Mario Was In Animal Crossing is the ninth episode of Season 10 of the SMG4 series, the five hundred and sixty-seventh within the SMG4 series, and the four hundred and fifty-fifth video overall to be uploaded on the SMG4 channel.

Synopsis

Mario tries to live a new life, the Animal Crossing way.

Plot

The episode begins with Mario excited to take a vacation to Tom Nook's deserted island. Then, Rover asks Mario if he is a boy, or a girl. Mario then continues by blasting him with a rocket launcher. This causes the plane to crash onto the island. Mario then runs into Isabelle and Tom Nook. Tom Nook then claims that this is where people come to die. Mario claims that is fun. Tom Nook then shows Mario around, Showing a building with a clock, a store, a prison, and then a lava pit filled with skeletons. Isabelle then asks Mario where he wants to live. Mario chooses a good location, which is be right on Cube the Penguin's house. Then Tom Nook yeets Cube's house and then replaces it with a cardboard box, and later gave Mario a lamp, and what seems to be an old-fashioned radio. Mario has to earn money to pay off his debts.

He attempts by selling his brother, but there are no customers nearby. Then he decides the best way to make a lot of money is sell things wherever Mario could find to pay Tom Nook's debt. He would get fruits by shaking off a tree. He keeps shaking it until he caught a beehive. Mario tries to escape the bee when he runs right into Static. He would later use the supplies he stole from Static. He uses the net to catch Derwin, and later use him as fishing bait to catch a shark.

Mario discovers a Fossil and takes it to the museum and donated it to Blathers, Just as Blathers takes a look, he suddenly realizes that Mario's Fossil are skeleton remains of a deceased villager. Blathers contacts the police until Timmy and Tommy attacked him, and later asks Mario that Tom Nook want him to run errands for the citizens. He starts off with Scooty, who told him to deliver the medicine to one of his sick friends, only for Mario to sell it to Tom Nook. Then he was asked by Pierce to get a big-sized furniture, only to steal it from Kody's house. After he gave Aurora an apple, she offered him a flower, but Mario rejected that gift, due to Bill gave him a piano. As a result, Mario begn chasing Aurora with a net. Resetti asked Mario if he have seen his brother, only for Mario to remember that he knocked Don unconscious and sold him. Only for Mario to lie to Resetti.

After his mortgage been fulfilled, his house has been upgraded. But Tom Nook made a new mortgage for him with the total of 9 billion bells. Mario decides to go to Nook's store and purchased everything, including Coco. He then steals Cube's new house and plants his own spaghetti tree. Then he asks Lily to help him build a Froggy Chair using her own father.

Meanwhile, at Mario's House, Luigi receives a postcard from Mario during his vacation on the island and receives a piano.

Isabelle visits Mario asking him that he still need completing tasks around town, which Mario has done his best. To keep Mario motivated on helping out, Isabelle hands Mario a terra-forming permit, which Mario fully landscape and customize the Island as he wishes. Mario was later causing havoc and chaos across the Island. Isabelle then calls Doomguy on stopping Mario, chasing him across the Island. Doomguy then calls out a monster on taking care of Mario. Mario managed to get away from the monster, only to run into Resetti, who is angry that he killed his brother. He throws a pickaxe at Mario's pingas, screaming in pain. Mario is begging and reasoning Isabelle and Doomguy that is just a prank, only for Mario to get kicked off the island.

Trivia

• The Doom Guy appearing in this blooper is a reference to a fan art trend that started in October 2019. Pieces tend to feature both characters paired in cute and/or gory situations or changing costumes and jobs. The trend came about as a result of Doom Eternal's delayed-release to March 20, 2020, the same day as Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
• This is the second blooper of 2020 to be devoid of modern characters. The first is SMG4: Bowser Loses Custody Of His Children.
• This is the third blooper of 2020 where Mario's pingas is injured. The previous two were SMG4: Mario Gets His PINGAS Stuck In The Door and the SMG4 Movie: Meggy's Destiny.
• Rover asking Mario about his gender which is previously asked by Professor Oak in Super Pokeman 64: WELCOME TO POKEMANS! and Professor Willow in SM64: Mario VS Pokemon GO.
• This was the first blooper of 2020 in which Mario displays public nudity.
• The reason why Blathers looks so much different is because there was no Blathers model in the Garry's Mod workshop at the time, much like the Noo-Noo and Il Piantissimo.
