Into the Marioverse is the thirty-second episode of Season 12 of the SMG4 series, the five hundred and seventy-ninth within the SMG4 series, and the seven hundred and forty-ninth video overall to be uploaded on the SMG4 channel.
The Tari from Meta Runner universe make a guest appearance in this video. The video was uploaded on August 27, 2022.
Synopsis[]
Mario & Tari have to defend the MULTIVERSE from its BEEGEST threat ever.
Plot[]
In a non-canon episode of SMG4, Mario woke up in an astral plane to find multiple Marios from various multiverses around him, when suddenly the Grand Mario appeared, having brought the Marios in to take over the multiverse for being the butt of everyone's jokes. Soon, Mario was freaked out and began attacking the other Marios, with the Grand Mario ordering them to defeat the unfaithful Mario. Gradually, Mario was able to return to his universe by making Speedrunner Mario backwards long jump so fast that he created a portal, where he landed near Tari in the castle foyer.
Warning Tari of the Grand Mario's plan, another portal emerged behind the two, to which Tari from the Meta Runner universe had arrived, who also encountered the Marios attacking her universe, Silica City. Due to a misunderstanding, Meta Runner Tari subdued Mario, interrogating him about the Grand Mario, but after clarification from SMG4 Tari, she let go of him. Suddenly, another portal opened, bringing in the other Marios taking over the SMG4 universe. Quickly, Meta Runner Tari generated a portal to let her friends and herself escape.
Unfortunately, the portal brought them to the Counter-Strike universe where an Engineer Mario began shooting at the trio. Fortunately, Meta Runner Tari was able to shoot him before he could shoot Mario in the crotch after much hesitance from SMG4 Tari. Escaping to the Super Mario Bros. universe, the trio had to run away from 8-bit Mario who had enlarged himself with a Mega Mushroom to stomp on them, during which they met Beta-Tari, who acted similarly to Mario. Just as 8-bit Mario was about to stomp them, they managed to open a portal to the Skybreakers universe. On a floating pirate ship, they met Skybreakers Tari, whose ship was suddenly attacked by Pirate Mario and the Grand Mario, who grabbed Mario and destroyed Skybreakers Tari's ship with homing missiles, forcing the Taris to escape via another portal.
The Taris found themselves in Silica City, where they found the Grand Mario with his army of Marios, having SMG4 Mario tied up. The Grand Mario revealed himself as "Mark Zuckerberg", who had devised his plan to build his Metaverse. Ordering his Mario army to attack the Taris, they felt nervous until Meta Runner Tari gathered them for a huddle and motivated them to fight back. With confidence, the Taris began to fight back the Mario army. As both SMG4 and Meta Runner Taris were cornered by a horde with a high rate of "Zuckerberg" winning, SMG4 Tari suggested to launch herself directly at "Zuckerberg". With the Skybreakers and Beta Taris clearing a way with a cannon to blast away the Marios, Meta Runner Tari launched SMG4 Tari at "Zuckerberg", and upon reaching him sprayed alien repellent at him, melting him away to reveal a small alien who had disguised himself in a Zuckerberg suit to take over the multiverse. The small alien attempted to fight Meta Runner Tari, but was squished by her.
As Meta Runner Tari convinced the other Marios to go back their own universes as the invasion is over, the Taris celebrated. As the Beta and Skybreakers Taris left for their universes, the SMG4 and Meta Runner Taris shared a conversation and one last embrace before they left for their universes, not realising that they forgot Mario is still tied-up, left behind in Silica City.

- Not counting Mario Does Things and retcons, this is the first episode in the series to be declared non-canon to the main continuity, as shown as the beginning of the video.
- The reason this video is non-canon could result from the entire lore set up by the Cosmology Saga (Genesis and Revelations arcs) since this introduces a multiverse concept.
- Though it could also be considered non-canon to prevent spoilers of the end of Meta Runner’s final season, which is further empathized by Tari’s Sacrifice in the final episode.
- The episode was first teased on YouTube and Twitter.
- Despite the name, the episode focuses more on Tari than Mario.
- This episode was aired after Tari's 4th anniversary and 2 weeks before the Meta Runner series finale.
- This is one of the few episodes where the "Birabuto Kingdom" remix is not used, being replaced with "Trade", the ending theme for the third season of Meta Runner.
- Despite the thumbnail, Grand Dad haven't made his appearence in the entire (non-canon) video. If he did appear, then this would've been his first appearance since SMG4 Movie: 10 Year Anniversary Special and his only appearance in Season 12.
