Mario Does It To Em is the twenty-sixth episode of Season 12 of the SMG4 series, the five hundred and seventy-third within the series, and the seven hundred and thirty-eighth video overall to be uploaded on the SMG4 channel.

Depresso makes his debut. The video was uploaded on July 16, 2022.

Synopsis

Mario tries to acquire some DRIP

Plot

One day, Mario was looking at Luigi posing in a suit and thought of it as boring. Luigi explained that he had to wear fancy clothes to go to the Mushroom Kingdom Awards. At first, Mario was disinterested, but when Luigi told him that there would be champagne at the awards (which Mario interpreted as spaghetti), Mario hurried to the closet but was dismayed that he had none, since the overalls he was wearing was the only clothing he had. He attempted to wear Luigi's Mr. L outfit but tore it apart due to his obesity. Luigi, with no other option, decided to take him shopping.

Unfortunately, Luigi's choices did not go well with Mario, and soon Mario, dressed up as a Robloxian fled the mall to go to a nearby park. Luigi, who found it to be challenging, called on for backup. At the park, Mario saw Goku being taunted by a Scout and a Sniper. Mario threw his Robloxian clothes at them. Goku thanked him, and later flew off. Meanwhile, Luigi returned with his backup, the gang, and got Mario into dressing up.

Still, their fashion choices did not suit Mario. When it was Meggy's turn to dress Mario, with no sense of fashion, she called her friend, Heavy Squid, who is a fashion designer in Inkopolis to come to her house. Heavy Squid presented Mario a set of clothes in a chest, to which he accepted, meanwhile informing Meggy that it costed $400 thousand, to which Meggy told him that Bob would foot the bill.

At the awards show, everyone showed off their fancy clothes, and when it was Mario's turn, he presented himself wearing a pink polo, white shorts, brown Italian shoes and a gold watch. The audience mocked him upon looking at him, and Meggy attempted to stop the audience from mocking him, to which a Demoman in the audience mocked her in response. This angered her, causing Meggy to tackle the Demoman, and started a riot within the audience.

Mario, being down after being mocked, was greeted by Goku from before, who took his hand to a dimension. There, Goku sported Supreme attire and Mario met himself in the clothes he was wearing before, serving as his manifestation of his ego. He told him that he did not need to impress others to be liked, and Mario's ego took it as an insult as punched Mario. With Goku ordering Mario to fight his ego, Mario fought well, and in the end defeated his ego, with Goku telling him that the "drip" was in him.

When Mario returned to the awards show, the riot was still ongoing, Mario gave a speech about Goku's advice, and he magically sported himself with Supreme drip, allowing him to do a pose to cause a shockwave to stop the riot and causing the death of the majority of the audience, while leaving the theater in flames, with Mario giving an ending remark about how nice it was.

• The episode is a satire on the slang "drip", a term use to praise one's clothes that has swag. It shows on how people judge others based on the clothes they're wearing.
  • It could also be a satire about fashion in general.
• The "You Know I Had to Do It to Em" Mario and Drip Mario GMOD model are made by one of the 3D artists at Glitch Productions, Giam Coquel-Danchin. Both models have since been revealed to the public on the Steam Workshop (released on June 27) after the episode aired.
• The thumbnail and the episode's name are a reference to the "You Know I Had to Do It to Em" meme.
  • Part of the episode is also a nod to the Goku Drip meme.
• Kaizo makes his first non-speaking cameo appearance in this episode.
