SMG4: Mario Gets Into NFTs is the sixth episode of Season 12 and the six hundred and seventy-six overall to be uploaded by SMG4.
It is an episode related to the Revelations Arc. It was aired on February 19th, 2022.
Synposis
(From Twitter) Mario joins the dark side and becomes......an NFT bro 🤡🍝
Plot
As Mario was walking towards the castle, he spotted Funky Kong selling a JPEG. As he asked, Funky was selling NFTs (non-fungible tokens), and told him that buying and owning one would make him cool. As Mario agreed to buy it, Funky gave out the ridiculous price of $999 thousand, making Mario to sell the castle (to Peach's chagrin) to purchase it, and Funky transferred it to Mario's phone. Mario, beginning to see an opportunity, wants to show his friends the purchased NFT.
After that, Mario went to Saiko's apartment, where his friends were at, playing Yu-Gi-Oh! on the Xbox. As he showed them his NFT, they thought of it as something ridiculous as Saiko just said it was a JPEG file, and when they heard the high price for it, they kicked him out. Undeterred, Mario decided to show everyone else his NFT, soon catching the attention of Mark Zuckerberg, who happened to be on a business trip to Mushroom City, to buy it.
Mario began living the lavish life, and began making his own NFTs. As he returned home, he found his friends holding an intervention, trying to tell him out of his NFT lifestyle. As Mario rebukes them for not understanding the fact that it makes him cool, his phone suddenly glitches, gaining him the ability to capture a living being and turn them into an NFT after testing it out on Luigi. His friends, apart from Bob, were horrified at what they saw, and Mario ran off to sell the Luigi NFT.
As Mario was out in the streets to sell his NFT, and turning SMG4 into one along the way, Bob came in with his knowledge of NFTs, and they worked together to make their NFT empire, capturing everyone in Mushroom City along the way. As soon as Mario captured the castle and Peach, Bob soon realized his descent to insanity.
Mushroom City, now abandoned due to all citizens being captured by Mario, Meggy, Boopkins, Tari, Saiko, and Melony went on the hunt to find Mario. As they found him, all of them, Tari spared, were captured. As Mario was about to capture Tari, Bob intervened, saying that NFTs were for to show to people they hate, but Mario's greed ignored his plea to stop. Seeing the madness unfold, Funky regretted his decision of introducing Mario to NFTs and tried to commit suicide but was captured by Mario before he hit the ground.
Mario then invented the Cere-bro to find the rarest NFTs. As Bob and Tari confronted him, Bob told him that he went far, but Mario scoffs him off, and resumed his search. Tari, angry at his behavior, begged him to turn his friends back. As Mario refused, Tari decided to outdo Mario with the Yu-Gi-Oh! cards she has, prompting a fight between them in the virtual world.
The fight was intense, and Tari was about to be defeated by Mario with his ultimate NFT monkey. Suddenly, Bob managed to intervene, regretting his decision to build an empire with Mario, and screenshotted his NFT monkeys to overpower Mario's one before turning to him, bringing the battle at an end. Waking up in the real world with his friends now back to normal, Mario tried to claim it was all a prank, but SMG4 picks up Mario's phone and captures him, turning him with Chris Pratt's face as an NFT as punishment for his actions. As Luigi asked SMG4 if he is going to ever do an NFT, he declined with a simple "no".

- This episode marks Bowser and the Anti-Cast's first appearances in Season 12, as well as their returns since Mario Goes To College (Bowser, not counting Mario Reacts To CURSED Nintendo Commercials) and SMG4 Christmas Special 2021, over a month since.
- This is additionally the first physical appearances of SMG4's Gang (apart from Mario and Shroomy, seeing that he appears nowhere in the video) since SMG4: Mario's Bus Trip.
- This is also the first appearance of Funky Kong since Nintendo Gets Deleted
- This is Melony's first appearance as a melon since SMG4: War Of The Fat Italians 2021. This time, however, the top of her hair can be seen, likely so it couldn't confuse Mario.
- The episode breaks the fourth wall with Mario saying about the side characters when preparing in the launch.

- This is one of the few bloopers where Mario serves as the main antagonist.
- Irony: Despite the game Mario's friends were playing is Yu-Gi-Oh!, the game takes place on a Pokémon Stadium, which could reference the two franchise's relations to animated series.
