Mario Goes on Death Row is the forty-fourth episode of Season 13 of the SMG4 series, the six hundred and thirty-ninth within the SMG4 series, and the eight hundred and fifty-second video overall to be uploaded on the SMG4 channel.

Synopsis[]
Mario finds out he's been put on death row. I wonder what his last meal will be?

Melony has finally wrapped up her manga dedicated to Axol, over two years after his forced, tragic death during the first battle with Niles, and Mario is helping her sell her copies at the Mushroom Kingdom's mall. The plumber tries to attract customers to their stall by acting (and turning into) a set of war sirens. The noise alerts Swagmaster (who thinks a third World War is happening) and Chris, the latter of whom quickly silences Mario. Swagmaster discovers Melony's manga and does not like it, making fun of Melony's drawings for being so poor quality which breaks her heart and discouragers her. Disgusted by this low blow, Mario quickly jumps to Melony's defense, and breaks Swagmaster's haughty, bullying ego with two creative insults. Just as the two are about to come to blows, Chris drags Swagmaster away, and Melony thanks Mario with a pat on the head. However, Swagmaster shoots one last insult at Mario, provoking him into going on the attack. With a swift "Substitution Jujitsu", Swagmaster swaps places with Chris, who gets tackled by Mario... right into Barack Obama, alerting security into arresting them.
Swag and Melony go to bail Chris (who is lamenting his predicament) and Mario (who is playing a harmonica to the "beat" Chris makes by banging his head against the wall), but they learn to their horror from Karen, the prison's clerk- and an equally horrified Mario and Chris from Hal Monitor- that them "attacking" the president is a one-way ticket to the death row, so they won't be leaving any time soon. The only "upside", according to Hal, is that they get to choose their own execution, something Mario isn't too bothered by in stark contrast to a near-traumatized Chris. With Karen refusing to cooperate, Swag orders Melony to help him free Chris. The young deity angrily bonks him with a baseball bat and forces him to accept two conditions: that he will help free Mario as well, and that he will properly read her manga, something he reluctantly accepts.
None of Swagmaster and Melony's attempts to free their friends work, and ends with the former bearing the worst of things. Their last attempt during Mario and Chris' last meal—which excites Mario very much—is to pass themselves as professional lawyers out to prove the guilty duo's innocence. Though annoyed, Karen consults with Mr. Monitor and allows them in. Their arrival prompts him to postpone the last meal (to Mario's despair; as he cries, "NOOOOOO!!!") and when Hal asks how they intend to prove them innocent, Swag obliges... by cold-clocking him in one punch.
With Mr. Monitor knocked out, Melony and Chris free a still-depressed Mario, and the four flee from the awakened and very angry police officer, who proceeds to give chase by himself after Karen refuses to help. The four drive off in a car, with Mr. Monitor hot on their tail in his police car. The two have prepared a trap for him however; they order 99 bombs from III's Coffee 'N Bombs so that SMG3 delivers the cargo... right where Mr. Monitor is driving. The two can only scream as the police car crashes into SMG3 and blows them to kingdom come, defeating the police officer for good.
Chris thanks Melony for freeing them, though the melon deity has pity for Mario, still upset he was denied from his buffet. Whispering something into Swagmaster's ear, she convinces him to cheer Mario up by setting up a large buffet just for him to add to her manga stall, with it being paid for using Obama's credit card (something Swag doesn't intend to tell Chris anytime soon). He also atones for his earlier bullying by sincerely revealing he liked "The Adventures of Mr. Axolotl". Melony cheerfully pats on the head as a thanks, something he likes—though as he decrees: "no homo".
