SMG4: Mario The Scam Artist is a blooper by SMG4 uploaded on September 15th, 2018.
Synopsis
Wario's been lonely since Waluigi went crazy... will Mario be able to make a better substitute?
Plot
The episode begins with Luigi taking a bath with one of his weegee dolls. SMG4 shows up in a fairy costume from the ceiling with a few shirts. Being frightened, Luigi asks him what is he doing. To which SMG4 says that he is the "Merch Fairy". Luigi calls the police, but SMG4 says that Luigi needs to be clothed. Luigi tries to stop SMG4 with an explanation, but SMG4 continues by showing off his brand new merch shirts; like the Japanese SMG4 shirt, the Fishy Boopkins shirt, or the minimalist Meggy shirt. Luigi says they are all pretty good, and SMG4 says that they are all available on the merch website. SMG4 now leaves Luigi all alone again, but he is still taking in what just happened.
The real part of the video begins with Wario showing Shroomy his card which decides his fate. It is revealed that he has been given the Cory in the House card,to which Wario says that is a "bi-jillion years of bad luck". He the takes this advantage by showing Shroomy his collection of good luck charms. These include, but are not limited to: a whole "rabbit" (Who is actually a Demoman) instead of just his foot, and a live "lucky cat". Afterward, the cat just dies in front of him. Wario says that it can be all his for a low price of 1,000,000 coins. Shroomy hesitantly agrees; but as soon as Wario is about to take the money, a gnome appears and Shroomy goes off after it (Mistaking it for a leprechaun) in hopes of good luck.
After that, Wario reminisces about the fact that it has been harder to scam people since Waluigi left. He looks at a part of a building side which looks like Waluigi, and a successful bank robbery which reminds him of the good old times. After this, he goes on to call Waluigi a few names but is interrupted after hearing a cry for help from a nearby sewer maintenance building.
In the next scene, inside the building, it is revealed that the cry for help was coming from Mario, who was still trapped from the events of "Mario SAW". Mario continues crying for help until Wario walks in to discover him strapped to a chair. Mario hears Wario come in and begs for him to free him from the straps keeping him stuck. Wario momentarily ponders the possibility but eventually decides to rob Mario while he has a chance, but instead of him finding money, he begins to pull out lump upon lump of spaghetti. Mario angrily shouts at greedy rival to stop, but Wario instead asks why he only has spaghetti in his pockets. After eventually deciding to stop, Wario asks Mario why he's trapped inside the sewer maintenance building and the red plumber gives a very simple synopsis of the events of "Mario SAW", which makes Wario uninterested before he realizes that he has seen Waluigi recently. He tries hiding his excitement, but fails, causing him to attempt to mask it as curiosity. He then states that he "just needs someone to help him with his scams", quickly realizing that he could make Mario a substitute for Waluigi. Wario then runs out of the building, coming back moments later with a tow truck to save Mario, hooks the tow cable up to Mario's chair and proceeds to drive like a madman to a nearby parking lot, landing on top of a car that was locked mere moments before landing. The two leave to go scam people out of their money.
Afterwards, Wario and Mario find Fishy Boopkins sitting on a bench while talking to his waifu body pillow Miku. Wario then comes in and lies to Boopkins that he can make Miku come to life, so he does a short ritual, and then tosses the waifu onto a roof. He then orders Mario to do his part, and the red plumber emerges from the roof dressed as Miku. Completely fooled, Boopkins attempts to kiss Mario, much to the plumber's disgust and he's forced to kick Boopkins in the face. Realizing "Miku" doesn't like him, Boopkins leaves, much to Wario's anger.
The duo then find a wheelchair-bound Koopa, and Wario posing as a magician decides to put up a show. He then orders the Koopa to close his eyes, and while he's not looking, Wario tosses the wheelchair to Mario (holding a magnet) on a nearby roof, but accidentally knocks him out of it, making him fall into the street. The Koopa then opens his eyes and, fooled, asks Wario to make his wheelchair appear again.
Unfortunately, the wheelchair is run over by a car and set on fire, much to Mario's despair. Although the Koopa is still fooled, Wario gets angry at the red plumber's stupidity ruining his scams and threatens to have him cuffed back in the chair. Panicking, Mario reluctantly agrees to do what he says.
Afterward, the duo finds a screaming Luigi floating in sewer water while calling for help. Shocked, Mario knocks out a nearby man selling fish, ties a rope to his body, and orders Luigi to grab on. Listening to his brother's command, Luigi grabs the rope and Mario pulls it with all his strength, saving him. Wario, dressed as a nurse, then comes in and offers to tend his wounds. Though the green plumber assures he's just tired, Wario ignores him and starts repeatedly electrocuting him, setting him on fire in the process. He then orders Luigi to give him 30,000 coins as saving lives aren't for free. After Luigi reveals he has no money, Wario angrily attempts to throw him back into the water. Fed up with how his rival is treating his brother, Mario tosses Wario aside and claims he's no better then Waluigi. Realizing his horrible actions, a depressed Wario goes home and starts to eat some chicken, deciding he doesn't need Waluigi. However, he notices his brother's old cap lying on the ground and starts reminiscing about all the fun things (and scams) they had over 2018. Completely depressed, Wario starts huddling his brother's cap around him.
Meanwhile, Mario discovers on TV that Bob had just opened a carnival and excited, asks Luigi if he wants to come. Luigi, however, is too busy taking a bath to remove all the sewer water. Annoyed, Mario decides to go to Bob's carnival all by himself. Later, Wario prepares to set out on a journey to find Waluigi, saying that he'll bring him home.

Continuity
- SMG4: Mario SAW & SMG4: The Mario Carnival - The blooper takes place between two videos which you can see how Mario was freed from the Saw event in the beginning and why Wario went missing as Bob mentioned him in the previous video.
- In an addition, Bob is actually advertising his carnival show in the end.
Trivia
- The blooper acted as a prequel of The Mario Carnival, as the carnival was advertised on TV, and Mario exits the house at the end of this episode to got to the carnival. It is also the sequel to SMG4: Mario SAW, as Mario is shown to be still tied up in the chair from the end of that episode until he got rescued by Wario, and Luigi made it out of the sewers
- The episode explains how Wario went missing; he set out to find Waluigi to bring him home because he really misses him.
- This is the 5th time an SMG4 character other than Mario is shown naked. The 1st was Toad, the 2nd was SMG4, the 3rd and 4th were the Mario Bros.' caveman ancestors, and the 5th was Luigi.
- Once again, Mario cares for Luigi as he was willing to fight Wario because he tried to kill Luigi.
- The usual credits music is replaced with a more sad, somber sounding rendition.
- The wheelchair-bound Koopa in this episode is possibly the same one who appeared and seemingly died in The Mario Hustle.
- Waluigi got EVEN closer to the channel's banner after this blooper. He is now behind the SMG4 logo and the other characters are starting to fade away, resulting to be taking over the channel. This results as the channel banner to be changed every week after the blooper.
- When Wario starts reminiscing, flashbacks of previous videos can be seen, such as The Mario Hustle (Where he and Waluigi tricked SMG4 into buying 1 million rocks),Wild, Wild Mario (where they robbed countless banks), and Doki Doki Mario Club (where they made Valentine's day -related scams).
- The intro of the episode where SMG4 is sponsoring his Merch line is possibly canon since Luigi is taking a bath, and almost at the end of the episode, he was floating in the sewers but took a bath in the same bathroom.
- When Fishy Boopkins wanted Miku to be real, he clearly forgot what happened the last time that happened in Doki Doki Mario Club. resulting in Saiko Bichitaru.
- This episode reveals the setting for Mario SAW;a sewer maintenance building, which might explain how Luigi was floating in the sewers.
