Mario goes to the dentist[1] is the sixteenth episode of Season 11 of the SMG4 series, the five hundred and fifteenth within the series, and the six hundred and thirty-sixth video overall to be uploaded on the SMG4 channel.
The video was uploaded on May 15, 2021.
Synopsis[]
Oh boy. Mario's teeth are gonna be sore tomorrow 🤡
Plot[]
Mario goes to the dentist in Aubergine, Mushroom City after eating spaghetti piled with sharp debris. During his appointment, he caused so much of a ruckus that the dentist tried to subdue him by force. Meanwhile, Saiko and Chris brought Tari and Swagmaster to the dentist respectively, much to the latter two's objections. Tari's attempts to escape were forfeited by Saiko using a rubbed duck, while Chris restrained Swagmaster onto a hand truck to prevent him from escaping. After causing an explosion that seemingly killed the dentist, Mario decided to fill in for him, comforting Tari while Saiko distrusted him. Mario succeeded in getting rid of the cavity in Tari's mouth, while his attempt at fixing her teeth caused all of her teeth to fall out, much to her horror. Swagmaster, upon hearing her scream, broke free from his restrains and barged into the operating room to catch Tari. The two hijacked a taxi cab and flee while Mario, Saiko and Chris get gridlocked in a high-speed chase throughout Aubergine and Rockford, later losing them near the entrance of Mount Shiver National Park. Swag and Tari crossed the United States-Mexico border and head to Mexico.
Swag and Tari tried to live new lives, but eventually were found by Saiko, Mario and Chris via helicopter. After much objections, Chris offered them to go to a Mexican dentist, in which Mario, disguised as Dr. Amigo, with his assistants Saiko and Chris, treated the two. In the end, Swag found the treatment to be satisfying while Tari does not and can only cry.

Deaths[]

- Baby Yoshi is killed by the Xenomorph. (offscreen)
- Toadsworth is stabbed by multiple pieces of dental equipment after Swag throws him out of his taxi and into the dentist's office.
- Mr. Krabs, Hans Moleman and Donald Trump are ran over by Toadsworth's taxi.
- Wheelchair Koopa dies after Mario throws him at the taxi Swagmaster and Tari were driving.
Continuity[]
- SMG4: War On Smash Bros Ultimate: After Mario throws the chair at the Dentist, he laughs the same way he does when he sees Jr. and his siblings with weapons, complete with the same music.
- SMG4: If Mario Was In... Nickelodeon: In the beginning of the episode, Tari is shown residing in Mexico with Swagmaster.
- SMG4: Mario Does Literally Anything For Views: In a minor reference back to the episode, Swagmaster pops up in the back seat of the car in a sombrero and mustache when SMG4 moves to Mexico after realizing he left Mario buried underground for 274 hours rather than 48 hours.

Trivia[]
- This is the first episode to be uploaded post-10th anniversary.
- This is Chris Gordman and Swagmaster6969696969's first major role since "SMG4: The Intruder...".
- This is the 14th blooper to make chaos out of a mundane task, after SMG4: Mario waits for pizza, SMG4: Mario Goes to the Fridge to Get a Glass Of Milk, SMG4: Mario Gets Stuck On An Island, SMG4: Mario Does The Chores, SMG4: Mario Waits in Line For Some Spaghetti, SMG4: Mario Gets His PINGAS Stuck In The Door, SMG4: Bowser Loses Custody Of His Children, SMG4: Mario Commits Tax Fraud, SMG4: Mario Runs Out Of Toilet Paper, SMG4: Wario Tries To Stop Himself From Dying, SMG4: Mario Scratches His Ass, SMG4: Meggy's Part-Time Job & SMG4: Mario goes to subway and purchases 1 tuna sub with extra mayo.
- Though the episode shows the Xenomorph to be inside Tari, it is never directly explained by any means whether or not it's supposed to represent a cavity or if Tari accidentally consumed it by force, nor does Mario, the only other character there with her in the moment, question how it got inside of her.
- However, since the scene happens straight after Mario notes that there's nothing wrong with Tari's teeth, combined with Mario being known for bad judgment of anything in the SMG4 universe, and how Tari's SMG4 counterpart is supposedly an actual human with implants, it is likely that it is supposed to represent an abnormally augmented cavity caused by Tari not checking her teeth at all her entire life.
- The "Dentist..." at the end of the title was reformatted as "dentist".
- This is the first episode to feature the 'mouth shot' framing device, where the camera is inside the mouth of one character as they are facing or approaching another. In this case, it is the former option, and it notably only happens once for Tari directly after she opens her mouth for Mario and before the Xenomorph reveals itself to be inside her.
- Despite the name and the description, later in the blooper, Mario teams up with Saiko and Chris, though as a liability to the objective.
- Also, despite the thumbnail depicting Mario as being terrified of the dentist appointment, he went to the dentist according to his own free will. Mario is only terrified of the dentist in the video itself because the former threw a chair at the latter.
- Mario can be considered a false protagonist here. After Mario ended up traumatizing Tari during the "appointment", the main character role pretty much shifted over to Tari and Swagmaster while Mario gets demoted to a supporting role.
- When Mario spooks out Skull Kid, the Buzz Lightyear action figure reacts as well.
- All of Donkey and Goku's voice clips come from Sr Pelo due to the fact that he is Mexican and his native language is Spanish.
- Dr. Amigo Family Clinic is a clinic inspired by Dr. Mario that exists in Mexico (or Houston, Texas). You can see the original commercial.
- This episode marks the first appearance of:
- Bandana Waddle Dee since SMG4: War Of The Fat Italians 2019 and in Season 11.
- Dr. Mario since SMG4: SMG4 🅴🆇🅿🅰🅽🅳🆂 His Brain and in Season 11.
- Wheelchair Koopa since SMG4: War Of The Fat Italians 2018 and in Season 11.
- Sr Pelo since SMG4: Cooking with Mario & Bowser: World Tour and in Season 11.
- Walter White since SMG4: The Day SMG4 Posted Cringe and in Season 11.
- This is the third blooper where Tari swears. The instance is when she said "Yeah b**ch!" after Saiko grabbed her attention with a rubber duck.
- At 10:14, Walter White can be seen selling tacos.
- It is unknown how Swag and Tari went to the USA and then Mexico (two of them located in North America) from the Mushroom Kingdom.
- It is theorized that Mushroom Kingdom may be an enclave or micronation in the United States, but that contradicts the fact that the Mushroom Kingdom is located in Europe and the Mediterranean Sea (as proofed in SMG4: A Day In The Life Of Everyone).
- It is possible that the dental clinic is located somewhere in the USA.
- It is theorized that Mushroom Kingdom may be an enclave or micronation in the United States, but that contradicts the fact that the Mushroom Kingdom is located in Europe and the Mediterranean Sea (as proofed in SMG4: A Day In The Life Of Everyone).
- The audio when Tari said pollo is actually Tari's "Take that!" audio line in reverse.
Errors[]
- Tari has no teeth while Mario is finished fixing her teeth, but as Swagmaster gave a Mexican disguise to Tari, she has teeth. This is likely just a case similar to when Mario loses his head on multiple occasions.
- At 4:03, when Mario kicks the Dentist in the nuts, the Dentist's eye-stalks can be seen jutting out the sides of his head.
- This is due to the eye models being too big for his head.
