Synopsis[]
SMG4 searches for inspiration
Plot[]

"I’m… going to make things right." |
” | —Mr. Puzzles | ||
SMG4's long-standing lack of inspiration is taking its toll on him, but despite numerous attempts, he can't seem to find it. Meanwhile, Mr. WPNZ and Toomp have successfully located Mr. Puzzles' lair, aiming to eliminate him for good. However, the TV man himself is long gone, leaving a board with clues that hint at locations connected to a mysterious "key", tied to his grand plan to rectify his past and attain the one aspiration he has always dreamed of. After taking his frustrations out on the board and still bitter over Puzzles' betrayal, Mr. WPNZ notices a important detail: Mr. Puzzles has found the key, hidden within the Internet Archives. With a smirk, Mr. WPNZ deduces that is where his nemesis could be.
Meanwhile, not even Mario and Luigi's skits produce what SMG4 wants, and the Youtuber snaps and storms outside to sulk. Mario cheers him up by offering him a pamphlet to the Archives, which he got from Luigi's diary (and whose owner angrily chases him around the house).
Unfortunately, nothing he sees in the Internet Archives room is worth his time, and it culminates in him burning some bad memes that jumped out of a few books. As he ponders over the spark he needs, he notices Boopkins using the computer and, accidentally causing him to bungle his search (and be carted off elsewhere), he uses it himself to find inspiration and is propelled up himself... where he briefly comes face-to-face with Mr. Puzzles himself. The meme guardian arrives at his destination a panicked mess, and by the time the "keeper of memes" (Old Man Hobo) shows him the memes in question, SMG4 punches him aside and heads back down, wondering why Mr. Puzzles is there. He notices a paper with the former director's handwriting and realizes that he's after the mysterious key from earlier, so he contacts the entire Glitchy Gang for help.
SMG4 runs into a dark room and runs smack into Mr. WPNZ, whom he fails to punch after a moment's confusion. The uninterested assassin leads Toomp to continue their hunt, while SMG4 gives chase as each party battles each other with the Archive's memes. Toomp turns into a hoverboard for them to get away faster, and as SMG4 finally catches up, he stops right next to them as the stunned trio watch a grim-looking Mr. Puzzles, now standing in a pentagram... with none other than the YouTube Remote from half a decade ago in place of his head, which he now holds. The other Glitchy Gang members (with Boopkins somehow unscathed from earlier) arrive just in time to react in shock as Bob questioning why is Mr. WPNZ and Toomp are here and SMG3 questioning why Mr. Puzzles has the former weapon in hand, and even Mr. WPNZ is taken aback by the sudden gentle, tearful expression on Mr. Puzzles' face, the latter reiterating that he is going to "make things right". Then, it fades to black before the episode gives way to the new War of the Fat Italians announcement and ends on a cliffhanger without the outro music.

Trivia[]
- This is the first episode:
- to feature a widely used website as a location (The Internet Archives) since [NINTENDO HAS CLAIMED THIS VIDEO] (2022), with Wikipedia.
- to feature the YouTube Remote since Mario Does Pranks 2 (2023).
- where Tari sees Mr. WPNZ.
- where Saiko Bichitaru and Melony Melone see Mr. Puzzles normally in person as well as Mr. WPNZ.
- that Mr. Puzzles has his regular attire (physically) since WOTFI 2024.
- The outro is grayscaled, just like from The Anime Arc to PUZZLEVISION.
- The title of this episode was originally in lowercase.
- Mario reading Luigi's Diary is a reference to Paper Mario 64, which is also fitting given that map where the scene took place also originated from the same game.
- SMG4 offering Beeg SMG4 a Beeg Boy snack if he helps him make a video is based on how the Mystery gang would always bribe Scooby-Doo a Scooby Snack if he helps them with their current mystery in Scooby-Doo.
- Ironically, the box SMG4 is seen holding literally says "Scooby Snacks".
- Mr. WPNZ's quote "Why don't ya pick someone your own size" is a reference to the early WOTFI episodes (given that SMG4 is roughly Mario's size) where SMG4 and Mario would have quarrels over who is the best.
- In this episode, WOTFI 2025 was announced for October 25.
- There was no new episode uploaded on the following week since the Glitch Production team wanted another week to finish the new War of the Fat Italians 2025. According to FM on Discord, there is also no WOTFI 2025 trailer uploaded on the following week as well[3] due to the fact that the team was focused on the production of this episode and are planning a special surprise for WOTFI which they will not spoil it until the release of the video.[4]
- However, the banner was changed on October 20, 2025, to promote the War Of the Fat Italians 2025.
