SMG4: Stupid Paper Mario is the twenty-ninth episode of Season 7 and the three hundred and fifty-sixth overall to be uploaded by SMG4.
This blooper begins with SMG4 yelling through the door and running out the computer room yelling "RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! AUUUGH!!!". He then says that almost all of his money is gone. Luigi asks how it happened, but SMG4 worries and does not want to say the truth as in a flashback, the reason why he had almost no money left was that he wasted it all on a crane game trying and failing multiple times to win a Thomas the Tank Transformer figurine.
Without any money, SMG4 is forced to lower the quality of his videos. Mario interrupts and says nobody cares, however, he then immediately transforms into Paper Mario. Luigi turns into Mama Luigi, and Toad proceeds to laugh at the Mario Bros.' misfortunate before turning into a picture of a fungus. Both Wario and Yoshi immediately turn into a bootleg Yoshi and Microsoft Paint Wario respectively. Mario thinks the circumstances are not that bad, until an 8-bit version of Peach shows up commenting on how beautiful she looks. Mario immediately changes his mind and tells SMG4 to just use Peach's money, but the YouTuber, who has been transformed into his YouTube profile pic taped to a popsicle stick, says he cannot use the now fake money in the castle, as the coins suddenly become Monopoly money. Mario then leaves the castle, now dropping in quality, and sets out to find real money and save SMG4's career.
After a screen transition similar to that of a Paper Mario game, Mario soon finds a Question Mark block. Knowing they yield money, Mario jumps and hits it, only for the same fake money from earlier to come out. He soon comes across a barn and enters it in the hopes of finding real money. Mario finds two Goombas, Goompapsta and Goombario. The former welcomes Mario to the barn and explains to him that they are not like the other Goombas, only to be ground-pounded by Mario, who had hoped money would come out. Goompapsta recovers without injury and proceeds to hammer the plumber in retaliation. Goombario then recognizes Mario and tells Goompapsta that his friend Goombs told him about Mario. Goombario tells his gramps that Mario might be the solution to their rascal problem.
Outside the barn, Goompapsta tries explaining the problem to Mario but starts slurring is speech after a while. Goombario then intervenes and simplifies the problem to the plumber: The other Goombas keep playing with their crops. Goombario and his gramps would have tried to stop them themselves, but seeing as they turned into paper, they do not stand a chance. Mario likes the idea of helping them but wants money. Goombario says that the Goombas might have money, to which Mario immediately runs off to fight one of the rascal Goombas in a Paper Mario-style battle. With that, Goompapsta explains to Mario how to fight: He and the enemy should always take turns. Mario, however, ignores this and immediately kills most of the rascal Goombas, which pisses off Goompapsta. As the plumber multibounces off several Goombas, he jumps on a Goomba with a Tomahawk hairstyle, causing him to reel in pain and fall to the ground. Seeing that Mario needs help, Goombario throws Mario a hammer to help him defeat the rascal Goomba. Mario takes it and uses it to knock off the Goomba's hairstyle, shocking and leaving him on the ground bawling. Unfortunately for Mario, none of the rascal Goombas had any money.
Nevertheless, Goombario congratulates Mario and asks Goompapster if he could join him in solving the paper issue, to which the latter replies that he does not care. Mario acquires Goombario as a party member, whose ability is his signature Tattle ability from Paper Mario, although in this case as a joke. Goombario says he only knows Mario is currently thinking of food from the saliva drooling from the plumber's mouth. Mario, however, is blown away by this.
As Mario and Goombario head towards Koopa Village, Mario is blocked by a signpost leading to the village. Rather than sidestep, he punches the sign out of the way. When the two enter, they see a mass of Koopa Troopas grouped around a cage. Upon closer inspection, Mario finds the cage's prisoner, Kooper, who had also become a victim of the low-quality phenomenon. The other Koopas wonder why he is like this, with remarks such as, "Is he sick???", "He has AIDS!!!", "Why is he paper??", "Nice ass.", "hes a witch!", and "HES EVIL!" One of the Koopas asks Dr. Mario for the diagnosis, which results in the doctor singing the You Have AIDS song from Family Guy accompanied by two Koopas echoing the chorus. About ten seconds into the song, however, Mario interrupts and asks for money.
Realizing that Mario is also paper, the villagers fall into panic. In the midst of the pandemonium, Kooper asks Mario and Goombario if they could free him, to which the plumber replies he could simply slide through the holes of the cage given that he was made of paper. An awkward moment of silence passes before Kooper says "F*** you!" to Mario for not thinking of that answer himself. Goombario suggests explaining things to the villagers, but he is immediately shot down after they go so far as to bring in a tank to exterminate the "disease". In this moment, Mario says, "Oh boy, more civilian fatalities :D," which causes Goombario and Kooper, now freed, to give him a questionable look.
Soon after, Mario throws his hammer at the tank and causes it to explode. Kooper uses his Power Shell ability to take out three Koopa Troopas before returning back to his regular form near Dr. Mario (who is still singing You have AIDS) and kicking him in the nether region. Goombario is surrounded by two Koopas, one named Jeff, but luckily uses his Tattle ability to escape. In this case, he uses it to reveal to Jeff's friend that he used his friend's toothbrush to clean his toilet. Pissed off, Jeff's friend proceeds to beat up Jeff for that, allowing Goombario to escape. Suddenly, the Koopa Bros. appear and use an attack formation to summon a giant gun. Mario proceeds to crumple himself into a paper ball and enter the gun, jamming the weaponry and causing it to explode, taking the Koopa Bros. with it. After all the fighting is over, Mario declares that he protected the innocent, though he is immediately proven wrong when Parakarry shows up and is appalled to see all of the villagers dead.
Alas, Mario still needs money. In gratitude for freeing him, Kooper offers to lead Mario and Goombario to a fabled cave that is supposedly holds legendary treasures. He requests Mario to let him join his party, saying he can also use his spin attack to retrieve things. Upon hearing this, Mario tries to imagines what his life would be like with Kooper's help. He envisions himself lazily sitting on a sofa, struggling to reach for the TV remote. Unable to do so, he refuses to get up and instead shouts for help. Kooper then shows up and retrieves the remote for Mario by casually tossing it to him, much to the lazy plumber's approval. Back in reality, Mario is delighted by this thought and decides to let Kooper join his party.

Later at the cave entrance, with Mario being dragged on the floor by Goombario to the cave, Kooper mentioned that it was dangerous because several people entered the cave but never made it out. He then added that since he hated all of them, he did not care. Inside the cave, they came across a broken bridge. Mario had a brainwave: turn into a paper airplane and fly them across the bridge. They tried that but they were deemed too heavy and they all fell down. Soon, they encountered a flame. Attempting to do a sneak attack from the back, Mario proceeded to hammer it but he then caught fire and had to be dragged away from the flame. After some time, Goombario asked if they were lost. Mario replied that they were not and proved it with a nearby map. However, it said that they were pretty lost, causing Mario to ask if they all wanted to cry. Kooper apologized for getting them lost, which Mario brushed it off saying he got lost in the bathrooms all the time. Just after he said that a shadowy figure appeared and started growling, scaring the party. Wanting to not be its meal, Mario offered Goombario as a sacrifice as he was a child, to which Goombario protested. When that failed, Mario told Kooper to use his special attack but all he did was to soil his pants, which Mario excitedly realize that was also his special move. The thing then pinned Mario down, who thought he was done for. However, it turned out to be very friendly and that it had not seen humans for the past 1000 years, meaning according to Goombario, it was forgotten since the ancient times of the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario decided to play with it by using Kooper as a toy for the thing, Chompers, which the chain chomper happily chased after, much to the horror of Kooper. He later escaped from Chompers without his shell. Goombario then asked where was the treasure to which the chain chomp replied it would take them to it because the humans forgot to take their money with them. With that, Chomps joined the party although Mario got squished from holding Chompers for too long.
Soon, Chompers led the party to the treasure, pushing Cleft and Fuzzy out of the way, and pushed Dr. Pootis in his Magnus von Grapple into a pit. They soon reached the treasure where an explorer was about to uncover the treasure but got squished by Chomps. Mario opened the chest and found 25 real coins. The party celebrated their success by singing We Did It! but suddenly, the effects of SMG4 being on a budget caught up with them, turning Goombario into a derpy looking Goombario, Kooper into a Microsoft Paint version of himself, and Chompers turning into a paper version of itself. With that, Mario quickly took both Goombario and Kooper and told Chompers to head to Peach's castle, bypassing an even uglier version of Wario, Toadsworth, a Bullet Bill, and a Shy Guy. SMG3 as his paper-self tried to halt the group but he was run over. Just before reaching the castle which was now a version done in Microsoft Paint, Mario turned into an even lower quality version of himself while Chompers turned into a Microsoft Paint version of himself. As Mario headed towards the castle, he had become a lower quality of himself. Inside the castle, Peach, Luigi, and Toad had already become Microsoft Paint versions of themselves. As he quickly rushed to SMG4's room, he dropped in quality until it suddenly became real life. Mario, now a plush version of himself, hurried over to SMG4, who was now his real-life self using a fake computer. Mario quickly tossed SMG4 the coins he found in the cave. Seeing that he has gotten actual money, it allowed him to make videoes again. This caused the entire Mushroom Kingdom to be restored back to normal. He wanted to give Mario a high-five but Mario punched him, telling him to go get a job.
The video ended with SMG4 wasting the money Mario found on crane games again and became a hobo.
