The VHS in the Foyer[]
(One day in Peach's Castle, Mario broke down the door, and uses a megaphone to call Luigi.)
Mario: HEY LUIGI!!! It's the time of the day that Mario causes problems for everyone
(Luigi was nowhere to be found. But the TV was OK to watch.)
Mario: Luigi!
(Luigi still was nowhere to be found. SMG4 and the others are busy anyway.) SMG4? Anybody?
(Mario looked down and saw a VHS on a table. He inserted it into a VCR plugged into a TV. The VHS played an instructional video from the Cool Vids VHSs store on how to handle a VHS)

(The video started by displaying a disclaimer)
WARNING: The following material contains cool material that might be too cool for younger viewers. Parental discretion is advised.
(The video moved to a purple background, text from Cool Vids VHSs greeted the viewer)

When handling your VHS Tapes please follow these 3 simple rules!
(Rule 1 displayed an image of a VHS being inserted into a VCR)
Rule 1: Be careful of dust, dirt and foreign particles getting on your tape.
(Rule 2 displayed an image of a VHS being cleaned)
Rule 2: Be careful when handling the tape. Avoid water and rough surfaces.
(A static before Rule 3 displayed an image of a VCR and a VHS in a JVC boxset)
Rule 3: BE CAREFUL
(The video displayed static until Rule 3 is shown again on a black background, this time extended with an additional warning.)

Phillip Appears[]
(The camera zoomed out from the TV, and in the midst of the confusion, Mario assumed,)
Mario: This must be one of those 21st century memes SMG4 watches
(Mario sits on the couch to watch TV)
Mario: Anyway, time for some TV
Mario: Now wheres that remote?...
(Mario looked for the remote. When he found the remote, he found Phillip just behind the TV. Mario screamed in horror, and hid behind the couch and asked Phillip about who he is.)
Mario: Is this a prank? Who are you?
(As Phillip reached out his arm, Mario threw the couch at him, and head to the corridor leading to the basement. Trying to be careful to climb down the stairs quietly to not attract Phillip, he tripped, breaking down the basement door, where Phillip was there. When Mario looked up, Phillip stared at him.)
Mario: Oh, you're doing that thing wherever Mario goes you're gonna be there.
(Phillip grabbed Mario by his neck, but Mario sneezed at him to release himself as Phillip was grossed out by his sneeze. Mario then ran in the basement, being followed by Phillip along the way. Trying to slow him down, he threw a green Toad at him. Meanwhile, Meggy was looking at paint cans, as she heard and saw Mario pass her as he went into the room leading to Hazy Maze Cave. He quickly boarded the door with wooden panels and a blue Toad to keep himself safe.)
The Second VHS[]
(In the room, Mario relieved himself from running and took a deep breath. After that he spotted another VHS tape lying on the floor, and played it on a portable VCR he brought along with him.)
Transcript of the second VHS[]
(Before the video starts, a disclaimer plays)
WARNING: The following program contains disturbing material that is not safe for life. Viewer discretion is advised.
(A text then displayed the words "Cool VHSs Ad no. 6118". Static is shown, and shifts to showing a picture of Uncle Sam superimposed on an 1980s-inspired background. A voice is heard promoting the store at the same time.)
Voice: Do you like cool VHSs?
(After a picture of a VHS tape is shown, a picture of cheering kids was shown next, followed by some cheering.)
Voice: Do you like VHSs that are... cool?
(The same thing happened with the previous dialogue, apart from a picture of ice cubes with the VHS tape. A picture of the movie "Are We There Yet" with its VHS is shown, and again with the cheering kids image and sound effect, before static showed up. The scene changed to an image of a Cool VHSs store.)
Voice: Then head on down to your local Cool VHSs today!
(A video showed the customer experience inside of Cool VHSs)
Voice: We have the best customer service ever. Rentals are super cheap! And we treat customers with utmost respect and...
(Static is shown again, with the customer and cashier's heads being replaced by creepy faces and the voice sounding deep-pitched and glitched. After some static and a blue screen, the cashier was swapped for Phillip's likenesses. As the video turned static, it ended.)

Phillip Appears Again[]
(As the video ends, Mario looked confused.)
Mario: What the?
(The door was banged by Phillip as Mario turned around. Phillip then started to speak.)
Phillip: Hey Mario, can you open up?
(Mario told him off. Phillip then continued.)
Phillip: My name's Phillip and I just want to talk to you.
(Phillip continued to bang on the door while Mario protested by singing the No No Square song.)
Phillip: Come on Mario. I just want to have a little chat.
(Mario continued to refuse the door for Phillip as he continued to bang the door. After Mario noticed a sudden pause from him, Phillip did eventually break the door down and screamed at Mario. Suddenly, Meggy, who had noticed Phillip follwing him kicked the screaming Phillip into the pool.)
Meggy: Mario! You ok? I saw this weirdo following you.
Mario: (uncomfortably) No! Hes trying to touch Mario's no square
Meggy: The hell did that guy want?
(Ominous laughter is heard. Meggy and Mario turned around and saw Phillip nearby a fuse box. He proceeded to smash the fuse box, causing a blackout.)
Blackout[]
(As a result of the blackout, Mario screamed in the darkness.)
Mario: OH NO. DARKNESS BAD DARKNESS BAD
Meggy: (calming Mario down) Relax red.
(Meggy turned on her flashlight she brought along with her while Mario cowered in fear. She noticed that Phillip, who was near the fuse box previously, had disappeared.)
Meggy: Hes... he's gone...
Mario: (in fear) Can we get the hell out of this haunted ass castle?
Meggy: Yeah, that's probably for the best
(As Meggy and Mario walked in the basement, Mario thanked Meggy and asked why she was in the basement.)
Mario: Thanks for saving me Meggy, what were you doing down here anyway?
Meggy: Oh, I was looking at repainting my room and I remember there were some paints so-
Mario: (pointing) WHATS THAT?!
(Meggy shone her flashlight to reveal Toadsworth crossdressing, who turned around and told them to keep his habit a secret. As the two sighed in relief, Mario pointed at something.)
Mario: What's that!!
(Meggy shone her flashlight to a radio playing a podcast of a Fitness Gram Pacer test. As she sighed, Mario screamed, forcing Meggy to slap and reassure him.)
Meggy: See Mario, there's nothing scary down here.
Mario: (nervously) G-good. Lets go. Phillip is looking at Mari-
(Mario turned around and saw a big creepy picture of a scary face, with the phrases "FOUND YOU" written all over. Mario, horrified, screamed liked the Skype call ringtone, while Meggy calmed Mario down.)
Meggy: Calm down Mario, it's just a picture.
Mario: (rolling around in fear) But it's so spoooky!
(Meggy studied the picture, and the "FOUND YOU" phrases written on it.)
Meggy: ...found you? What has he found?
Mario: LUIGI!!
The Third VHS[]
(They both noticed Luigi's cap left behind. Mario rushed over and picked it up, and found another VHS tape underneath it. He played it on the portable VCR.)
Transcript of the third VHS[]
(The video displayed its disclaimer, showing "WARNING: die". The video was footage from the basement's closed-circuit surveillance camera between 12 am and 4 am. At 2 am, a sentient bowling pin was being chased by SMG4 with a bowling ball in his hand. At 3 am, Mario is shown to be doing the Club Penguin dance, in which Mario apologized.)
Mario: Hehe... whoops sorry
(At 4 am, Luigi was spotted holding a big appliance in his hands, looking a bit frightened before going into the corridor. He was never seen again, and later Phillip appeared and then noticed the camera watching him. The video turned static afterwards.)

Meggy: (frightened) Was... was that Luigi?
Mario: Yes! And that Phillip guy has him!
(Ominous laughter was heard again, and Phillip emerged behind Meggy. As Mario hid behind Meggy, Phillip then spoke.)
Phillip: Hello again my little-
(Phillip was interrupted by Meggy kicking him to a wall.)
Phillip: (confused) Wh-what?
(Meggy appeared and swung Phillip to the other side near Mario, where he taunted him, making him shocked.)
Meggy: Excuse me, we fought literal gods. You think you intimidate us?
Mario: Now... ...Where's Luigi?
Phillip: (frightened) You- you guys are crazy!!!
(Phillip ran away, causing Meggy to chase him. Mario decided to film a horror tape.)
Mario: Now it's Mario's time to make a spooky horror tape. (as he followed along)
Interrogation[]
(The video shifted to the tape Mario was filming. The intro played the opening title, bearing Mario's face on a yellow with the text "MARIO PRODUCTIONS" superimposed. The video showed Mario walking in the dark basement corridor, then to the foyer, to Bob-Omb Battlefield's room, and then the upper floor donut corridor, where a scared Phillip was seen. Mario then moved the camera slightly higher to reveal Meggy coming out of a painting. As Phillip saw her, he screamed as Meggy hit him with a crowbar. The scene shifted to Mario still filming, cheering Meggy on.)
Mario: YEAAH! Get him Meggy!
Meggy: (while hitting Phillip) WHERE'S OUR FRIEND?!
Phillip: (frightened and begging) Ok stop stop stop! PLEASE!
The Fourth VHS[]
(Phillip showed her a VHS tape he brought.)
Phillip: Here. Look at this
(Mario came along with the portable VCR. After looking at Meggy, he took the VHS tape from Phillip and played it.)

(The video is an audio transcript of a telephone conversation between Luigi and a Cool VHSs employee.)
Luigi: Hello?
Employee: Hello and welcome to Cool VHSs the coolest place on earth. Could you start by giving me your name?
Luigi: Luigi
Employee: Thanks and your last name?
(A brief pause until Luigi returned.)
Luigi: Luigi
Employee: Ok Mr Luigi, how can I help you today?
Luigi: I bought this Philips CD-i from someone the other day and its not turning on
Employee: Oh really? That's strange... Have you checked if its plugged in
Luigi: Yes
Employee: Have you checked if there's any dirt or dust in it?
Luigi: Yes
(A brief pause.)
Luigi: Hello?
Employee: Have you checked behind you?
Luigi: Wha? (assumed to have looked behind, and screamed) AAAAAAAAAAAAAA-
(The video ended in static.)

(After listening to the transcript, both Mario and Meggy were understandably horrified.)
Meggy: Sounds... sounds like he was attacked?
Mario: (asking Phillip) Was that you on the line, Phillip?
Phillip: Yes... And that was my cursed Philips CD-i he bought by accident
Mario: (shocked) W-What?
(Rumbling was heard and felt throughout the castle.)
Meggy: (shocked) That came from the courtyard!!!
Luigi in the Courtyard[]
(Meggy, Mario and Phillip tied up went to the castle courtyard.)
Mario: (angrily) Why the hell is it so dark outs- (noticed Luigi) - Luigi!?
(Luigi was seen sitting on a chair behind a desktop computer. He turned around with the cursed CD-i in his hands, apparently being possessed by it.)
Mario: LUIGI!!!
Luigi: (speaking ominously) Hey guys... would you like to play?
Phillip: MY PHILIPS CD-I!
Meggy: (trying to snap Luigi out) Luigi, it's us your friends! Can you hear us?
Luigi: (being possessed) No. No I don't think I will.
Phillip: GIVE THAT BAAACK!!
(As Phillip charged at Luigi, the cursed CD-i transformed Luigi into a monster, shocking Mario and Meggy. The monster screamed, blowing Phillip away, while Meggy attempted to land a strike on it. It failed, and the monster countered by spitting VHS tapes at her.)
Mario: (angrily) Sorry bro... looks like I'm gonna have to.. SCARE YOU!!!!
(Mario put on a Will Smith mask in an attempt to scare the monster, only to backfire when the monster spat tapes at him. As Meggy dodged the incoming tapes, she jumped to try to land a hit again but was caught by the monster. She screamed for help as she was being consumed by the monster.)
Meggy: H-HELP ME!
(As the monster exclaimed that he wanted to "play with someone", Mario was shocked)
Mario: NOO MEGGY!!!
(Mario charged at the monster, and with him a tape of the 1993 Super Mario Bros. film. He landed on the monster's head and inserted it into its' mouth. The weird Bowser smile in the movie was too much for the monster to handle as Phillip retrieved his CD-i from it. The monster exploded, releasing Meggy, who was caught safely by Mario. Luigi, who was also released, was seen fatigued. Mario rushed to Luigi to check on him.)
Mario: LUIGI! YOU'RE OK!
Luigi: B-bro...
Meggy: (relieved) So glad to see you're better! Why'd you buy that cursed CD-i anyway?
Luigi: A salesman sold it to me saying it'd change my life.
(The salesman in question reveals to be Morshu, who hid from them. Phillip was reunited with his CD-i.)
Phillip: FINALLY! YOU'RE BACK WITH ME! (banged on the CD-i) No more causing weird horror crap to happen ok?
The Final Tape[]
(A disclaimer was shown saying "WARNING: YOU GOT THE GOOD ENDING." A montage of clips showed Phillip with his CD-i and Luigi reunited with Mario and Meggy. Phillip then invited the three to play Link: The Faces of Evil on his CD-i. Just as the video glitched out, the TV showed static and the four stared at the camera. The tape went static and shifted abruptly to Toadsworth from before, still crossdressing. He appeared to be holding a revolver in his right hand as he threatened anyone who would leak his secret out.)
Toadsworth: Tell anyone about my secret... ...and you might have to answer your front door
(The tape cuts to black, and knocking on a door was heard. The episode ends.)
Deleted scene (Please don't read this transcript)[]
Mario; Mario is just relieved this nightmare is over.
Meggy: Hey I just wanted to say thank you for saving my butt earlier
Meggy; You're amazing
Mario: As Mario once told Meggy,Mario has your back no matter what.
Meggy: I won't lie red. I thought I was about to be killed by whatever possessed Luigi but we held our own and you saved my butt in the end.
Meggy: We should team up more often. It was fun.
Mario: We really should team up more often, Meggy.
(Meggy kisses mario and mario blushes)
