This Will Be Mario In 2030 is the fourteenth episode of Season 15 of the SMG4 series, the seven hundred and seventh within the SMG4 series, and the nine hundred and thirtieth video overall to be uploaded on the SMG4 channel.

Synopsis[]
Mario just needs a lil makeover.
Plot[]
At the shoe store, which is selling Spaghettezys, a set of limited edition spaghetti shoes out for a limited time, Mario cuts through line to get up front to by them, because his old shoes are worn out and falling apart. He is stopped by Bob, the store's guard, who rudely tells him that his outfit is poor, lacking the drip that others have. Soon, the giga chad behind Mario cuts through, who immensely excites Bob, who decides to give him multiple pairs of the Spaghettezys, to Mario's annoyance, though the line behind them cheers the giga chad on after he wears the shoes and poses, while Mario expresses distaste that the people around him only seem to care about their appearances, yet Bob tells that he isn't "that guy", which infuriates him further. But Mario just walks off without a fight, saddened with how he is, and so looks at himself in some mirrors, showing his unsightly body, which causes the mirrors to shatter, to his anger.
Looking back, Mario sees the giga chad making a scene in the streets, on the pile of Spaghettezys and posing, while the crowds continue cheering him. The mirrors behind Mario soon reassemble, taking the reflection of the giga chad, which annoys him. He then jumps up to the giga chad, on his pile of shoes, and tries to flex hard, but his puny arms just deflate, to the disapproval of everyone, leading to him getting knocked off the pile, rolling into Swag. Turning around, Swag shows off a large chin, which shocks Mario. Swag explains that it's his new skincare routine, showing a barrel of toxic waste, which fascinates Mario. Swag reveals that with his chad chin, there's more he can do, which he does by letting the sun shine on it, causing a bright, angelic light to reflect as he poses, which amazes Mario, and gets the attention of the crowd and the giga chad, who all surround Swagmaster, cheering for him instead. Mario tries to pose like Swag, but this causes the crowd to fall mute, only cheering because of Swag. Mario continues posing, but to no avail, as the crowd gets larger and continues cheering for Swag, with Mario stretching to the point of falling over and crashing on Frankie. Mario is despondent that he'll never get to be "that guy", so Swag offers his toxic waste to drink, which Mario does, transforming himself.
Later, at the Showgrounds, the now transformed Mario walks in, meeting Depresso on the way, who is so shocked by Mario's new appearance that he disintegrates. The rest of the gang, SMG4, SMG3, Meggy, Boopkins and Saiko are in the game room, watching videos together, until Mario slams open the door to make an entrance, but the others are all shocked by his appearance, which is a swole and chiseled body, but Mario isn't bothered, thinking the gang likes it. Saiko remarks that Mario looks like he got run over by a truck, but he explains to the others that he decided to get himself a redesign, much like everyone else. SMG3 then tells him about his appearance; he looks awful, which hurts Mario's feelings. He goes to meet Swag, who's still drinking the toxic waste, leading to his chin grow larger, but also giving him a sickly green glow. When told about his predicament, Swag gives him more waste to look more beautiful, but Mario asks if there's another way, to which Swag answers that this is the way, to be "that guy", being beautiful and being loved by all. This convinces Mario to chug down all the toxic waste, and he transforms more, growing larger, his body appearing to be multicolored. At that moment, Mario gets a phone call from Shigeru Miyamoto, who needs him to shoot a promo for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, and Mario agrees to come.
At Nintendo's HQ, Mario makes a grand entrance, shining brightly, but also surprising all the employees working, some getting utterly frightened by Mario's appearance. Mario soon enters Miyamoto's office, and his father too is extremely shocked by his new appearance; an androgynous, beefy body with messed up texture mapping and colors, and a vase shaped head with a hyperrealistic face of Mario on it. Miyamoto asks Mario what happened, and he shows off by flexing, which ends up burning the eyes of some Nintendo employees. Mario then shows the toxic waste he'd been drinking to transform, which Miyamoto decides to use to rebrand Nintendo. He draws out the Nintendo Switch 2 and pours the toxic waste onto it, all while evilly laughing, and the console transforms into the Super Chad Switch 4, which leads to a massive energy burst that transforms everything in the Mushroom Kingdom into something different. Miyamoto too, has fallen victim to the transformations, gaining an athletic, if low poly, body and a chad face, the Nintendo employees turn into beefy versions of other characters, including other people outside, and even transforming inanimate objects as well. The new age of Nintendo has begun.
Meanwhile, the wave reaches the Showgrounds, affecting the Glitchy Gang as well; SMG4 and SMG3 transform into their real life counterparts, Luke and James, respectively; Boopkins becomes a real fish; Saiko turns into a punching bag with limbs; and Meggy becomes a Lego Squidward; they all are unhappy with their new looks, except James-SMG3. Cue Mario arriving to meet his friends, taking credit for helping their new designs. Luke-SMG4 then frantically asks Mario what he did, to which he answers that he made everyone "beautiful", which annoys Luke-SMG4, who orders the red plumber to be back to normal, like the rest of the gang, with Squidward-Meggy not being able to feel her face, James-SMG3 isn't too annoyed, and actually enjoys his new look, but Trout-Boopkins clearly doesn't. Despite their pleas for help, Mario angrily tells them that he is beautiful, and he'll be able to get the Spaghettezys he always wanted. Naturally, Luke-SMG4 is baffled that Mario did all of this to buy some shoes, which Mario plans on doing, walking off.
Outside, at a shoe stall, Mario goes to get the Spaghettezys he wanted, but Bob, who has also transformed, into a bandanna wearing garbage bag with stubby swords and realistic legs, refuses to give Mario the shoes, saying he isn't beautiful, pointing to the Moyai statue of a TF2 Spy as being beautiful. Mario feels devastated by this, and goes back home that night to drink more toxic waste to be beautiful. But upon seeing himself in the mirror, Mario begins to reconsider, feeling ashamed of how he turned out, like other people around him. He suffers an existential crisis deep down; on one hand his conscience realizes he's come too far, while on the other, his chad side vehemently insists on being beautiful, which causes him to faint. However, he also sees his photo album of himself when he was a child, seeing that even in 8-bit, he was always cool, and so runs off to meet Miyamoto to set things right. In his office Miyamoto is busy admiring himself, Mario bursts in, declaring his decision to put a stop to the Super Chad Switch 4, the upcoming console and admitting he was wrong. Despite Miyamoto's protests, Mario begins explaining why he wants to stop it; he explains that the audience doesn't like realistic graphics, but good stylized ones, like when he was still normal, which leads to Mario and Miyamoto quarreling over what people want; Miyamoto insists on realistic graphics because it's what the people want, but Mario wants things to be back to normal as they were, showing what the indignant audience will think, coming to his point of overused realism being cringe, much to Miyamoto's shock. As he looks at the new console, Mario tells his father to do what must be done, and he agrees, smashing the console, which completely undoes the transformations, with Mario himself, the gang, and everybody else turning back to normal. Mario and everyone else is happy to be back to normal, except for SMG3. Even though Mario may never get the new shoes he's wanted, Mario was glad that he learned his lesson and was proud himself for who he really is, but Swag, whose chin has become extremely large, refuses to listen, drinking more toxic waste, causing him to explode and Mario to run away with him wearing his normal brown shoes until the day he dies, ending the episode with a lighthearted lesson of appreciating who you really are on the inside and on the outside.

Trivia[]
- FM’s brief cameo in this episode marks his first appearance since SMG4: If Mario Was The Last Man On Earth outside of Remasters, his first appearance in 2025, and the first appearance of the Mario Recolors in a new episode since said episode, proving they were not retconned from the show like many thought.
- Tari was the only redesigned character to NOT be featured in this episode.
- Despite her still as her feral beast transformation, Peach appeared as her cursed human form version, referencing her movie counterpart, and it's also her first appearance since MARIO’S DEATHRUN, or if that could be her canonical appearance, then it would be her first canonical appearance since SMG4: Let’s Go Visit Peach!, despite her still inside the Demonic Goop Caverns.
- This is the first time where Yoshi and Donkey Kong appear in their Mario Party 64 models since a few years ago rather than in their gmod models.
- The moral of this video is to appreciate yourself of who you are truly are on the outside and on the inside, nobody is perfect.
