SMG4, formerly named SMG4 // Glitch Productions, Supermarioglitchy4, and ṧღ64 ♭ℓ◎◎℘εґṧ, is an Australian YouTube channel where SMG4 and Glitch Productions Extras uploads on. This channel is currently owned by the Lerdwichagul brothers, Luke and Kevin. They also own Glitch Productions, the operator of the channel. Meta Runner was also uploaded onto the channel until 2020, where all future episodes are on the GLITCH channel. However, the individual first-season episodes are still intact on the channel.

Classic era (2011-2013)[]
SMG4's first episode was on May 7, 2011, and has since been in continuous operation. His earlier bloopers were typically weird and simple plots, with a lot of "fat" and "your mum" kind of jokes. While these episodes do have some charm and were well-liked bloopers, they weren't really anything special, especially the first few episodes. Earlier bloopers used to have background music played over the Super Mario 64 game's music and sound effects, and used very simple outlined text for the subtitles. Around the end of the year, Luke had begun to use Sony Vegas. This change has allowed the removal of existing sound effects and allowed background music to play without clashing with already existing sounds. The SMG4 character didn't appear at the beginning, and most of the characters were some random Mario characters from Super Mario 64. The SMG4 character was eventually introduced on the 24th episode Account lost. And has, from there on, keep appearing. During that same year, a few subscribers submitted ideas that were later used for episodes such as Super Mario 64 Bloopers: Castle Jumping = Time Tavelling = Zombies an episode that was though by X where he also debuted. X then became the first user to have his idea used in a SMG4 episode. Later that same year, SMG4's evil doppelgänger SMG3 has been introduced, who became a recurring villain in the series. Other YouTubers such as MCGustavo, FightingMario54321, Ruffman8890 were introduced later this year bringing a trend of using Mario Recolors in his bloopers. 2012 was the year, in which other SM64 YouTubers appeared the most. A very large number of SMG4's best work were made in 2012 and are mostly what most fans remember as the "true classic" with this year being the first year the ṩṩἔᾗмὄḋᾗᾄʀ series has begun. In that same year, Starman3 was introduced along with the YouTube Rangers (later revealed to have been forced by the real life individual behind the character) who appeared in plenty of bloopers during that year. It was also the year Luke has started using Verdana font for his bloopers. In 2013, more facial expressions through the use of texture replacement appeared in bloopers and the SMG4 channel has started to use personalized thumbnails to most of his new videos made by Kulit7215 on DeviantArt. The channel also reached 50,000 subscribers which was celebrated with 101 Ways for Mario to Die (The Right Way!) 50,000 subs!. Mario recolors have started to decrease in appearances, although they still made frequent appearances during the first half of the year. The main reason for this decrease was to avoid the confusion of having too much multicolored Mario with long names appearing all the time, and the decision was made to focus more on Nintendo characters and few other characters from different license such as Steve or Teletubbies and to remove the frequent appearance of other YouTubers in order to avoid having videos that depict them positively if it ever age poorly. This year also introduced a few mini series such as The Adventures of Mario and Luigi, The Wacky Wario Bros. and R*tarded64.
Transitional era (2014-2016)[]
2014 was a new beginning for the channel with new series such as Guards N' R****ds, Cooking with Bowser and Mario! and Super Pokeman 64 Bloopers being very popular and was the year the channel reached 200 videos uploaded and was also the year he reached the 100,000 and 200,000 subscriber milestone. Luke has also started to use his own thumbnail instead of those Kulit7215 made and used more GMOD in his bloopers, which resulted in a divisive video S̶M̶6̶4̶: `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••. .• ( Tubbie TV ) •. .••`¯´´•.¸¸.•` that was heavily criticized for its overuse of GMOD. One of the most notable videos of this year was R64: Freddy's spaghettiria which brought a huge number of fans that followed the trend of the FNAF series. In 2015, the video quality increased when Luke started to use Bandicam to record his episodes. 2015 was also known as the year with the least amount of SMG4 episodes, as there were only 16 episodes uploaded by the 11th of May, while there were 21 videos at the same date on the previous year, because there were several weeks within which SMG4 couldn't release any episode mostly because school reasons. Despite this, he gained 400,000-600,000 subscribers and released SM64: Bad Star's Back! 300k Special, SM64: The SMG4 QNA (400k subs :D), Mario Simulator Interactive! (500k Subscribers) and SM64: War of the Fat Italians 2015 (600k Special) respectively for each milestone. However, in that same year the "SM64 Tales" had its first episode, but it sadly never made past more than one episode just like Sob Story: Tale of a Bob-omb which hasn't made more than one episode despite being an interesting concept. But this year did have a new series called DerpTV that lasted longer and got a certain notoriety. 2016 was a year that brought major changes with more use of GMOD, and this increased the presence of characters with GMOD models such as Bob and Fishy Boopkins who both debuted that same year. Another noteworthy fact is the fact that the channel has reached 1,000,000 subscribers. Luigi even got an updated model as of the SM64 Shorts: The Plumber Problem episode instead of the Mario recolor. A lot of side characters were used with GMOD and less SM64 characters were used. Kevin was publicly revealed to be Luke's brother and has also started to get more involved with the channel, with him becoming a writer on June 22, 2016. Later this year, the SMG4 Gaming channel was taken down and was replaced by the Hobo Bros channel.
Modern era (2017-????)[]
2017 had the first episode with the 'SMG4' name, that being 'SMG4: Mario goes to DIDNEY WORL'. Meggy, one of the most popular characters on the series today, was also introduced in 2017 with 'SMG4: If Mario Was In... Splatoon'. Also, the very first WOTFI trailer was uploaded onto the channel, that being 'A war is coming... [#teamSMG4]'. Aside from that, the very first story arc was introduced, 'The Waluigi Arc'. In this arc, Tari was introduced with 'SMG4: Mario The Ultimate Gamer'. The arc ended with a WOTFI, a first for the series. Very quickly after, it was followed by 'The Rapper Bob Arc'. Another noteworthy thing is the birth of Glitch Productions, which was introduced in 'SMG4 Direct (HUGE CHANNEL UPDATE!)'. A new series, HITBOX, also began to release on the channel, which unfortunately met a quick demise at only eight measly episodes. Another noteworthy thing was Saiko's debut in 'SMG4: Doki Doki Mario Club'. A Meta Runner trailer was also uploaded onto the channel in 2018. Luke and Kevin also went on some tours. In 2018, SMG4 sponsorships also became a thing, in which you can play $5 to get exclusive perks like behind-the-scenes footage. The 2 million subscriber special happened, being a Ssenmodnar created by the fans. In 2019, 'The Anime Arc' happened, which introduced the controversial switch of Meggy from inkling to human, as well as Axol. Greg was also introduced in 'SMG4: Mario Raids Area 51'. The 3 million subscriber special also happened, being another fanmade Ssenmodnar. Meta Runner episodes from season 1 were uploaded onto the channel until Meta Runner got switched over to the GLITCH channel for season 2 and season 3. WOTFI 2019 happened, which was not an arc WOTFI unlike WOTFI 2018. The most controversial and hated SMG4 episode to date, 'SMG4: Boys vs Girls' was also released in 2019. Luke also began a series called Dumb Stories to chill and relax to, which was short-lived. In the Christmas 2019 episode, Melony was introduced in the background as a simple watermelon with Meggy's headgear. 'SMG4: Mario Gets His PINGAS Stuck In The Door' was released at the start of 2020, one of, if not the most notable episode to date. The very first movie, which was a continutation of The Anime Arc, 'SMG4 Movie: Meggy's Destiny' also released. A Ssenmodnar for 3,826,412 subscribers was also released, and so was The YouTube Arc which also ended in a WOTFI. Greg also met his unfortunate end in 'SMG4: Stupid Mario Arcade'. For the 4,000,000 subscribers special, SMG4 let the fans write an episode. 'SMG4: War of the Simps' released, which was a crossover with Nathaniel Bandy. Cooking with Mario & Bowser returned for one episode, and then Melony became a human because of the Fierce Deity Mask. A four-minute episode of Meggy trying to learn Japanese was released, and SMG4 ended the year off with another fanmade Ssenmodnar. Season 11 started with 'SMG4: Mario goes to subway and purchases 1 tuna sub with extra mayo', being followed by 'SMG4: The Intruder...'. After this, two controversial episodes in a row were released, those being 'SMG4: The Resurrection' and 'SMG4: The Melony Felony'. Meggy became depressed in 'SMG4: The Pursuit of Happiness', which led to her going on vacation in 'My New Adventure.', thus creating the ten-episode series, Sunset Paradise. The Genesis Arc began with 'SMG4: Perfectly Balanced.', and after that, Mario and Bob turned Meggy's house into a hotel. A video titled 'SMG4: The Quest for RTX' released, which led to the Meggy livestreams. The 10 year anniversary special also happened, being a second movie. The Mario Does Things subseries also began with 'Mario Plays: Unfair Mario'. Meggy eventually returned in 'SMG4: She's Back!'. The Genesis Arc also ended with a WOTFI, which was a controversial decision. After the Genesis Arc, Melony also became depressed about Axol's death when she was forced to kill him to stop Zero, the villain of the Genesis Arc, so she went to Omnia Academy to train her powers. For 5 million subscribers, an episode titled 'SMG4: THE 5,000,000 SUB SPECIAL' was released and Luke livestreamed for 10 hours. At Omnia Academy, Melony also met someone named Niles, who would play a large role in the Revelations Arc. 'SMG4: Mario Waits For The Bus' began 2022, and the third movie, 'SMG4 Movie: REVELATIONS' was released, ending the SMG4 cosmology lore for good. Kaizo, a character created in the 10-hour livestream(s) was introduced in 'SMG4: DO NOT ENTER', with his mini story arc with Saiko concluding in 'SMG4: The Meme Games 2022', a new yearly thing hosted by Mario. Saiko also got a new design and so did Old Man Hobo in 'SMG4: The Floor is Lava'. 'SMG4: If Mario Was The Last Man On Earth' released, one of the most controversial episodes ever, and The Lawsuit Arc began with 'SMG4: SMG4 Gets Sued'. The Lawsuit Arc also ended with a WOTFI, which introduced redesigns to SMG4, SMG3, Bob, and Boopkins. On October 1, 2022, the official Twitter and Discord of the channel were hacked. The incident was eventually resolved, however the original Discord server was lost which caused the creation of a new server. Also, a new line of figures called AniMatez was introduced.
The year 2023 began with the usual ''shitpost'' video on SMG4: Mario Goes To T-Mobile To Upgrade His Data Plan, and a first for the series: A mini-storyline leading to the fourth movie SMG4 Movie: IT'S GOTTA BE PERFECT, which involved SMG4 trying to make ''the best video ever'' to surpass SMG3 in popularity but goes insane in the process and the movie concludes with Peach's castle being destroyed forever in order to stop a Demonic Goop emaning from a Mysterious Keyboard which SMG4 bought from a Unknown Individual, this movie is also responsible for introducing updated redesigns to SMG4, SMG3, Meggy and Boopkins. After a few months of living in Luigi's RV, SMG4 finds with help from Boopkins a an abandoned carnival setting called The Showgrounds where he started to build a new castle for his friends to hang in, meanwhile another mini-storyline unfolds leading to the fifth movie SMG4 Movie: WESTERN SPAGHETTI where Meggy and Tari discovered a horrifying truth about the whereabouts of her childhood hero Oneshot Wren who previously debuted in SMG4: Mario Babies, prior to this, Tari officially got her redesign in SMG4: Grand Theft Mario after keeping her original appearance for five years and two days after the movie with a brief encounter with Peach who is now an eldtrich beast thanks to the Demonic Goop's influence, The SMG4 castle is finally completed, but with the upstairs unfinished for now with SMG3 revealing to keep a Secret Notebook where is the main source of a mini-storyline involving SMG4 and 3 finding out that Mario is responsible for the theft because of promised great knowledge by his cardboard cutout who he named Marty which ends in War of the Fat Italians 2023, and the first one which the fans decide the outcome of the story and in the end SMG4 and SMG3 were successful in taking the notebook back and SMG3 moving to the Showgrounds with his own cafeteria and bombs business.
