SMG4 Simulator is the twentieth episode of Season 14 of the SMG4 series, the six hundred and sixty-third within the SMG4 series, and the eight hundred and eighty-third video overall to be uploaded on the SMG4 channel.
It was first teased by Luke Lerdwichagul at the end of the PUZZLEVISION movie alongside Super Mario 64 Poorly Explained. It is a sequel to 2014's Mario Simulator, which released 10 years prior. The video was uploaded on May 25, 2024.
Synopsis[]
Finally after many years, the sequel to Mario Simulator is here.
Plot[]
The episode begins with the Narrator (who is actually Bob) introducing SMG4 simulator. Then, he talks about its similarities to Mario Simulator, except he refers to SMG4 as a "dumb hobo knockoff". SMG4 then kills the Narrator and starts working on a new video. Two options are then presented, which read "Plan a very well thought out story with research and care" or "Just start making sh**". The latter option is chosen and the video is uploaded. SMG4 walks out the room, then immediately dashes back and begs for a like. Yet again, two options are presented. which read "KEEP WAITING FOR LIKES!!" and "like your own video to get the ball rolling". The latter option is chosen, but SMG4 gets 8 dislikes and a hate comment. He then goes to some sort of mental abyss, dies, and respawns. After that, SMG4 gets the options present at the start of the video, but picks the former. Now in SMG4's brain, he is meditating over "Idea Lake", gets on fishing gear, and starts fishinand g. He gets a "Potato Quality Mario", "Low-poly Shrek", "bos babby", "Big Chungus", "Just SMG3" and a "GIANT PINGAS", worth 100, 250, -80, -40, -100, and 900 points. SMG4 makes his video, and his "Rest Meter" is heavily depleted. He eats food and listens to cringy GF ASMR. When SMG3 yells at him to do something productive, we are (yet again) presented with two options, which read "Listen to advice" and "Continue listening to GF ASMR". The former is chosen, and SMG4 attempts to make a video but Mario is at the door and SMG4 is boarding it up. Mario then sneaks in, wrecks SMG4's room, and destroys one of his monitors. SMG4 tries to buy the best monitor, but he doesn't have enough money. He is presented with two options, which read "Do an advertisement" and "Start an OnlyF*ns". The former option is chosen, sponsoring "Shrek Online", but SMG4 fails the sponsorship, and is kicked into a DVD selection. He designs some merch and collabs with Shrek Online yet again, this time gaining 493 coins and buying the PC. Finally, he finishes the video, getting a new record of 22 views and 6 likes.

- Fourth Wall: Like Mario's Mysteries, the whole episode broke the fourth wall from SMG4 talking to the viewers, noticing the on-screen cursor picking one of the on-screen selections, hearing the narrator, seeing the inputs when making a sponsored video and noticing the 30 seconds until the store, he's in closes. SMG3 noticing the points, he's worth.

- Ronaldinho Soccer 64/International Superstar Soccer 64: The intro of the video is a parody of the infamous intro of this game.
- Final Fantasy VII: The bar that appears during the "Tap A to use IQ" segment references the limit gauge.
- Five Nights At Freddy's: The lookout for Mario is a reference to how the gameplay of the franchise works (minus FNAF World and Five Nights At Freddy's: Security Breach)
- Pizza Tower: SMG4 says his video is going to be EPIC! EMOTINAL!! ACTION PACKED!! while doing moves with the emote sound effect playing and right near the end of the episode when he gets the new computer as the store's closing, right down to the UI and music. Even the hardest and highest rank, P, is present.
- Sonic Heroes: The "you're a winner!" splash screen, which pops up right after SMG4 liked his own video, uses the borders from Team Sonic's level intro screens in the game. (Note that the music used is "Jingle: Act Clear" from Sonic Generations.)
- Super Smash Bros: 3... 2... 1... GO! (taken from Brawl) and Failure (taken from Melee) pop ups. The way Mario punches SMG4's laptop is very similar to how the Finish Zoom works in Ultimate.
- Undertale: Karen's shop references the Snowdin Shopkeeper's design from the game.
- Wii Play: The Idea Lake segment is similar to how the fishing minigame works in that game.
- Friday Night Funkin': The arrows from the game appear when SMG4 is working on his video at the end.
- Super Paper Mario: The UI at the top resembles the UI in the game, albeit with a different font.
- Nintendo Gamecube: Its button inputs appear throughout the video.
- Pokémon: One of the soundtracks from Pokémon Ruby/Emerald/Sapphire is heard when SMG4 goes to buy the NEW PC.
- Frogger: SMG4 trying to cross the street and failing nonstop.
