SMG4 and SMG3 Rank SMG4 Characters is the eighth episode of Season 14 of the SMG4 series, the six hundred and fifty-first within the SMG4 series, and the eight hundred and sixty-eighth video overall to be uploaded on the SMG4 channel.
It is also the first episode of SMG4 and SMG3. The video was uploaded on March 2, 2024.

- Streaming Until I Hit 5̶ ̶m̶i̶l̶l̶ 5,100,000 Subscribers: The video is essentially Luke and James ranking their characters, similar to what they did in the livestream. As in the livestream, James/SMG3 jokes that Desti belongs in the D tier for "died".
- The Waluigi Arc: When discussing Waluigi, the SMGs bring up how he nearly killed them before SMG3 gave him therapy. SMG4 concludes that Waluigi is "washed up" for not doing much afterwards. Waluigi is also seen harassing Meggy when SMG3 talks about her plot armor.
- The Anime Arc: Desti appears on the list and is ranked. Francis also appears, harassing Meggy when SMG3 talks about her plot armor.

Trivia[]
- This is counted as the 1000th overall video on the SMG4 channel by YouTube, although there's already been 1000 videos as the website doesn't count unlisted, private, and deleted ones.
- Despite the number, it's 867th SMG4 "normal" video due to the channel having shorts and possibly membership-only content.
- However, one week after the video's release, four videos were either deleted or made private, lowering the number of videos at 998 as of couple hours before the release of March 9's video.
- This marks the first appearance of:

- On release, its classification in the series was debatable, being either part of the main series, part of SMG4 CREW or both, as even though it has the formula of the latter (except Mario is not the main character) and there isn't "SMG4:" in the title, it has the intro of the former, the logo of the series is on the thumbnail and it is in the main series' playlist and not the SMG4 CREW's. It has finally been classified as part of the main series.
- Because of this, the canonicity of the video is debatable.
- As a result of being part of the main series, it is the first episode to not have the series' name in the title since If Mario Ran Nintendo back in 2018.
- It's also the second type of the video to act like the main video of Saturday (not counted the video before the premiere of SMG4 Movie: REVELATIONS), the first being SMG4: Five Nights At Freddy's Games Be Like....
- This video was uploaded six years after SMG4: Mario's Prison Escape.
- Despite the SMG4 CREW appearing in the episode, SMG3 and SMG4 were the only SMG4 CREW members with lines. Everyone else had no lines, except Bob Bobowski who only had one, which was "screw you" to SMG3 and SMG4.
- This episode has the biggest Fourth Wall break in the channel by mentioning all the current and previous characters in the series and SMG3 saying it's a new year/new month, as well after that SMG4 comments, this will be uploaded in March (which it was).
- This is one of the few episodes to have SMG3 and SMG4 in derp mode.
