SUNSET PARADISE - EP 9: All Fall Down is the ninth and the penultimate episode of Season 1 of Sunset Paradise and the 35th overall video on the GLITCH channel.
It was aired on the 23rd of July, 2021.
Synopsis
Meggy and Auri finally meet Benedict face to face... Only things go very, very wrong.
Plot
Meggy & Auri have arrived at the lighthouse, but they had to face the Goonies right away. After defeating the Goonies, they went upstairs.
It turned out that the lighthouse keeper is still alive but injured. Immediately afterwards Auri was grabbed by Benedict, where he told his backstory and his purpose to steal the Phoenix egg: to be immortal to build his criminal empire, but as he was about to give Auri to the Goonies, Meggy lit lamp oil barrels and defeated the remaining Goonies with a blast. In the meantime, Auri managed to get her hands on the Phoenix egg and had reached the roof of the lighthouse, but Benedict kept shooting at Auri.
And then when Meggy defenselessly climbed up the ladder, Auri threw herself in front of Meggy to protect her from the laser beam and suffered a fatal hit. Meggy collapsed from tears and Shadow Meggy said very clearly that it is her own fault, as Benedict cheered his kill.
Meggy tries to get the Phoenix egg from Benedict to revive Auri, but Whisk got in her way, having retrieved her mask. This was the beginning of a shooter duel, where "whoever shoots the fastest wins." The episode ends in another and final cliffhanger.
