Scuttlebugs are round striped spiders that appear throughout Mario games such as Super Mario 64. In SMG4's videos they appear as an obstacle to Mario in some of his adventures doing whatever. They also hinder other characters like SMG4 as well.
In SM64 Guides: How to Get dem Coins., Mario uses one in an attempt to con Luigi out of his money, but it ends up backfiring on him.
