Season 8 is the eighth season of the SMG4 series. It began on SMG4's Channel on January 6, 2018 and ended on December 29, 2018. The total number of episodes is 75, with 52 being Blooper Episodes.
SMG4's videos of 2018 have been expanded upon. This was the first year SMG4 did since 2013 that didn't have a R*****ed Recap as the New Year Special. SMG4 also has gotten better at balancing his use of SM64 models and Garry's Mod models. SMG4's YouTube friends continue to appear in cameos every now and then, as well as new characters such as Saiko, Tari and Jeeves during this year.
This year marked the point where the channel achieved the 2 million subscriber mark and he celebrated by having the fans submit their own videos for a Ssenmodnar video.
Starting from Waluigi's Time, a story arc began to form with the bloopers with Waluigi becoming a major threat in the series. With each new episode starting from Mario SAW onward, Waluigi gradually took over the channel banner until he was the only character left on it. The arc, following months and months of buildup, culminated in War of The Fat Italians 2018, which served as the Grand Finale of the Arc. Overall, the arc was well received by old and new fans alike and even rekindled some fans' interest for the channel.
At the end of the season, The Rapper Bob arc started (SMG4: Mario And... The Well) and it grew over time with the antagonist as Bob Bobowski. Fishy Boopkins also got an extended role in this arc. The climax of the arc was SMG4 Christmas 2018: The Most Important Thing. This arc was also the debut of the first SMG4 Song: Saiko - Darkest Hour (Official Music Video) which debuted in SMG4: Mario and The Diss Track.
From SMG4: Doki Doki Mario Club, Fishy Boopkins got a new Super Mario 64 model, which is used alongside his regular Garry's Mod model.
Synopsis
Things have been quiet and funny with SMG4 and Mario, a bit too quiet though. Peace is soon interrupted when Wario's brother Waluigi has been rejected for all his life and has gone for far too long. He now begins wreaking havoc on the Mushroom Kingdom after obtaining his secret power due to being rejected and demoted to an assist trophy in Super Smash Bros. for the very last time. Meanwhile, Bob Bobowski is building up his own rapping career. During it, he ends up pushing his friends aside and becomes ruthless and cruel to them, especially Boopkins. When things start to go out of hand, SMG4 and his friends must stop them from controlling over the world and change their ways to turn them back to the regular people they know. Will Waluigi and Bob succeed, or will friendship prevail?

Trivia
- In this year, Glitchy Boy Production changed to Glitch Productions, as well gaining a new logo. According to an update video, they decided to change it due to the fact no one knew what Glitchy Boy was since the company didn’t do a good job explaining it.
- Because of that, the website that directed to Glitchy Boy has been removed from the description, thus becoming inactive.
- There's a new live-action comedy series, inspired from a "Hobo Bros 100k subscribers" video, named Hitbox which has been revealed by Kevin, with the first episode released in Sep 21st, 2018.
- Due to Meggy's prominence, this is the season where Princess Peach appears the least, appearing in only in fourteen videos.
- This was the first season to introduce story arcs, beginning with The Waluigi Arc with The Rapper Bob Arc with its follow-up.
- This is also one of just two seasons to have two arcs each, the second being Season 12 (with the Revelations and the Lawsuit arcs)
