Serial Designation N (mostly referred to as N) is the deuteragonist of the Glitch Productions web series Murder Drones, as well as a minor recurring character in SMG4. He is a kind Disassembly Drone with the attitude of wanting to get the job done, but he is oftentimes told by his co-workers that he is useless and terrible, and barely gets respect.

He is voiced by Michael Kovach, who also voices the Mage trio consisting of SMG0, Niles, and Fred, while also voicing Jax from The Amazing Digital Circus.

History[]

Sometime in the past before landing on copper-9, N was previously a worker drone who was discarded at a dump. He would later be found and repaired by Tessa and given new purpose. N then worked alongside V and J as servants at Elliot Manor. During a party, N took a few glasses, but accidentally dropped them after bumping into V. After an awkward moment between the two, J would kick N away, before being startled by the appearance of Tessa, who had brought Cyn with her.

N and Cyn would grow close to each other and eventually see each other as siblings.

Later on, when V acquired error 606, she fall into a coma-like state and be visited by N, who would read her dog facts. However, one day when trying to attend a gala event with Cyn, N would be sent to the dump to be picked by birds after taking the blame for something she said.

It is unknown what happens after, but it can be presumed that N returned to the manor and was then turned into a disassembly drone by Cyn, and lose all his memories as a worker.

N, now working for JcJenson, would travel to Copper-9 along with V and J with the job of killing all the worker drones. N would be the pilot of the group and crash their pod into the planet, where they would then begin their massacre of the workers on Copper-9.

A few years later, after returning from a hunting trip, N would stumble upon Uzi in their spire and attack her, stinging her with his nanite tail in the process. However, using her skills, Uzi managed to blow off N's head using her railgun. However, N's head grew back, and Uzi quickly ran over to N to slap him with a dismembered worker drone arm, causing a malfunction during his reboot that caused him to the lose the past 3 hours of memories and the ability to identify targets.

Personality[]

N is kind, nervous, and also socially awkward. He always wanted to make friends or at least get accepted and acknowledged by his co-workers, which is a very hard thing to do since he's terrible at doing his job due to his good-natured, unserious, and socially awkward attitude that makes others look down on him and doubt that he can ever do something useful. This is what made him get treated as an outcast, his co-worker, and also unaware crush, Serial Designation V, never pays attention or takes any interest in him. His superior, Serial Designation J, often threatens and insults him about how worthless he is at doing his work and states that if the company one day allowed them to exterminate all the useless Murder Drones, she wouldn't hesitate to kill him.

Although, N disregards all their negative impressions and antagonizing acts and would forgive them. His crush on and loyalty to V results in him following Uzi to the colony, saying that the reason that he needs to kill her is because he cannot have Uzi shooting V with her railgun. He appears to be very trusting of people and maybe a bit naïve, as he assumed Uzi was his new squad mate despite her appearance, even wanting to introduce her to his squad, even though she would be immediately slaughtered.

But, despite being a friendly Murder Drone, N is shown to be dangerous when he is in a battle, having occasionally murderous moments, it is seen in the Pilot episode that N is highly intelligent, skilled in hunting down Worker Drones, and is very precise in targeting his enemies. Showing us that he only lacks confidence in communicating with others but is a professional killing machine like typical Murder Drones when it comes to attacking his targets.

Appearance[]

Serial Designation N sports a dark grey fur collared coat and a black hat, with silver hair parted to the left. His artificial lighting and Acidic Tail follow the same pastel yellow aesthetic common with Disassembly Drones. When engaged in combat, he has a jagged mouth, sharp metal wings and claws, and his eyes are replaced by a neon yellow cross/x.

Criminal Record[]

Worker Drones' point of view[]

  • Murder: N has committed several acts of murder in his time near the Worker Drone population.
  • Accessory to ongoing genocide: N (alongside the other Murder Drones) was tasked with assisting the genocide of the Worker Drone population.
  • Armed Assault: N has used several weapons in his attacks on the Worker Drones, these include a Gatling gun, a Laser cutter, retractable claws, a missile cannon and an acidic tail.
  • Unlicensed Break-In: N broke into the area where the Worker Drones live.
  • Vampirism: N drinks the oil out of most of his victims to keep himself from overheating.

Murder Drones'/JCJenson's point of view[]

  • Infraction: N talked back against his superiors and claimed how he disliked them being mean to him when he switched sides.
  • Rebellion: N fought against his superiors to stop them from destroying the Worker Drones.

Powers & Abilities[]

  • Regeneration: N possesses the ability to regenerate his lost limbs by using an unknown liquid-like substance to regrow his missing limbs, like his head.
  • High-speed Flight: Like any other Murder Drone, N wields a pair of retractable, vampiric wings capable of allowing him to fly at supersonic speed.
  • Acidic Tail: N's scorpion like tail is attached with a syringe containing neon yellow acid making nanites that would eat away at anything it comes into contact with, including other Murder Drones themselves.
  • Repairing Saliva: It has been proven that N's saliva (along with other Murder Drones) has the ability to deactivate the nanites in a wound/damage inflicted by their syringes, usually meant to be used whenever they accidentally stick themselves with their tails.
  • Missile cannon: N's hand can be turn in a cannon that launch medium explosive missiles.
  • Retractable Claws: N possesses three razor sharp claws per hand capable of crushing the head of a typical Worker Drone and even retracting it.
  • Gatling Gun: N possesses a Gatling gun to fire bullets at his targets. It's unknown how much ammo it can hold.
  • Laser Cutter: N has the ability to shoot a thin neon yellow laser to cut through anything.
  • Vampirism: N can drink the oil out of Worker Drones to sustain himself, like all other Murder Drones. However, it is implied at the end of the pilot that he also cannot touch sunlight or else he would overheat.
  • Feather Blade: The tips of N's wings are very sharp blades. N uses this to immobilize Uzi.
  • Chainsaw hand: N's hands are capable of transforming into functioning chainsaws. N uses these against the Absolute Solver when it tries to kill Uzi.

Weaknesses[]

  • Overheating: Like other Murder Drones, he has an overheating issue that requires him to constantly drink oil, primarily from the Worker Drones that he is supposed to kill.
    • Sunlight: As mentioned above, N can overheat from too much sunlight exposure.
  • Naivety: He's way too nice compared to his Murder Drone comrades and is looked down upon for it. His crush for V also almost costs him when he switches sides and is forced to fight her.

Trivia[]

  • N is voiced by renowned voice actor Michael Kovach. (Hazbin Hotel, Hunicast, Akudama Drive, Fazbear & Friends, Lackadaisy, DEATH BATTLE!, The Amazing Digital Circus.)
  • N's regenerative healing factor ability is quite similar to the main antagonists of the Terminator franchise as he and his co-workers are able to use a substance-like liquid to heal themselves, like the T-1000.
  • N appears to have a fascination with clicky pens.
  • FightingMario54321 confirmed that N's model was ported to Gmod rather than remade like Tari and Belle.
  • It is possible that the reason why N acknowledged that Uzi is a threat to V is because of his system detecting Plot Armor, which, he knew that Uzi cannot be killed since she's protected by the plot and would also be aware that Uzi would come back and start to kill the Murder Drones.
  • N bears a passing resemblance to Niles, sharing both hairstyles and murderous yet affable personalities, both having the letter 'N' in their name (or in his case, the only letter of it), both having goals regarding slaughter on a grand scale, and the same voice actor, Michael Kovach. However, he is noted to be far more comparible to SMG0 in both tone and overall personality.
  • According to Mario Reacts to Spooky Memes but Dies half way through N loves three things, Dogs, murdering stuff, and debilitating cognitive dissonance.
  • Luke Lerdwichagul confirmed in Streaming Until I Hit 5̶ ̶m̶i̶l̶l̶ 5,100,000 Subscribers that N was put in SMG4 just for fun and for advertisising the pilot of MURDER DRONES, and that he won't be a recurring character in the SMG4 series.
