Reason: Real-life controversy over pedophilia.[1]


Starman3 (known as SM3) is a YouTuber who made appearances in the SMG4 series.

He is a former (real-life) Super Mario 64 machinimist, and the former best friend of MM54321. He was one of the YouTubers who appeared the most, behind XboxFan997 and SMG4 himself. Starman3 was a notable ally of SMG4 and Mario throughout the earlier seasons.

He appeared a lot in Season 2, but he started to decrease in appearances in Season 3, and he completely disappeared just before the beginning of Season 4. He has since made cameo appearances in some videos by SMG4 mainly in the SSENMODNAR Videos.

His channel was temporarily terminated from December 4, 2015 to January 6, 2016.

Personality

In SMG4's videos, Starman3 appears to be fair and honest, and he apparently dislikes craziness (like Mario's r*tardedness). He doesn't like to be left out, which as been shown in WOTFI 2012.

Powers

Starman3 has star powers, hence his name. He himself mentioned said powers in the blooper, "The Imposter", in which he tried to assist SMG4 in defeating the Imposter.

Trivia

  • As he started making frequent appearances throughout 2012 after "The Warrior and the Hobo", other machinists such as X, MCG, Ruffman, EpicYoshiFan, and FM were pushed aside and relegated to only mere cameos.
  • He is the leader of the YouTube Rangers, a group of Super Mario 64 Machinima makers.
  • Starman3's color code may be based on the color skin for Player 3 in the minigame "Mario Bros. Battle" in the Super Mario Advance series.
  • His YouTube username is "starman3", without the uppercase S. However, this uppercase is used on his YouTube icon.
  • He first appeared in a blooper made by MarioMario54321.
  • He was nominated by SMG4 to do the Ice Bucket Challenge, but never did so.
  • His disappearance from SMG4's bloopers is related to a real-life controversy surrounding the person behind the character, alongside other Youtube Rangers. It's unknown how SMG4 himself was affected, though according to FM and other former YTR members, he forced Luke to add him in his video and show him in a good light. (FM Statement here)
  • Some mistakenly believed he had appeared in SMG4 Movie: 10 Year Anniversary Special when the cast was fighting through brainwashed recolored Marios, however, FightingMario54321 later confirmed that it was not Starman3, and the lighting in the scene just made the zombie appear to look like him.[2]
  • It's unknown whether or not he has other powers.
