Turbo Crash 9 is a vehicular combat game in the Meta Runner series. Its first main appearance in the series is in Unreal Engines, though an arcade cabinet of it can be found in Season 2's intro ever since EP 1.

Gameplay[]
Gameplay in Turbo Crash 9 is very similar to Twisted Metal in that the player drives a car and tries to destroy the opposing vehicles, either by ramming into them, or by shooting them with their mounted turret, all while avoiding the various stage hazards. However, judging by what Marco said when announcing the match to MD-5, this may just be one of the game modes.
It is unknown if the player can choose their ride, though that is most likely the case. The vehicles seen are an ice cream truck, a prison bus, a beetle, a hot rod, a sports car, a golf cart, a family car and an 18-wheeler. However, only the beetle and 18-wheeler were explicitly named as Bustabeetle and Big Belcher respectively. Each vehicle also have turrets, though they can only equip one at a time, and start out with only one, having to collect the rest when the spawn. Only four weapons were shown, those being a standard machine gun, a twin-barrelled machine gun, a grappling harpoon gun and twin rocket launchers with four rockets each. Additionally, the vehicles can receive armor upgrades by destroying opponents, as shown when Marco charged through two cars and received an upgrade. It is unclear if one receives a piece of armor for every player killed,or if it's random.The former may be true, as when Masa and Lamar encountered a heavily upgraded Big Belcher, Marco had to activate his tire upgrades.
History[]
This is the game played in Unreal Engines in the Rustworks and Marco's preferred game. When Masa and Lamar challenged him Marco made it be a match of Turbo Crash 9 as they played the game. After the game was won by Masa and Lamar, Marco got furious and suspected cheating but dismissed it as he gave Masa and Lamar the parts to make a Meta Runner arm.
Trivia[]
- Despite most likely being based on Twisted Metal, gameplay does share some similarities with Mario Kart: Double Dash in the fact that cars can be controlled in pairs: one at the wheel and one on weapons.
