War of the Fat Italians, commonly abbreviated as WOTFI, is an annual series of fighting videos made by Luke Lerdwichagul and Aaron Rogers. It's mainly focused on a fight between SMG4 and Mario, which is usually settled by challenges created by X or by the viewers via the comments section, and from the 2015 video onward, always ends in a Rap Battle. As of 2023, 9 rap battles have taken place. The match is usually held by X, who appears in almost every episode of the series, the only exceptions being 2018 due to him being a T-Pose Zombie, 2020 due to him being vaguely absent in The YouTube Arc, 2021 due to him being vaguely absent in the Genesis Arc except for the SMG4 Movie: 10 Year Anniversary Special, 2022 due to him being vaguely absent in The Lawsuit Arc, and 2023 due to him having recent absences throughout Season 13. The above mentioned matches are held instead by Waluigi, the YouTube Remote spirit, the Mario crystal, Kirby, and SMG4/SMG3 respectively.
The War of the Fat Italians series started in 2011, and progresses with one episode made every year, almost always in October. As of the first season, twelve editions had been held.

The Meme Games is a game show series created by Luke Lerdwichagul. It is hosted by Mario and the contestants has to go through a lot of challenges sent by the viewers. It serves as a spinoff to War of the Fat Italians series.

However, he was replaced by Waluigi in 2018 to torture Mario & SMG4 because X became a T-Pose Zombie and it was the final episode of The Waluigi Arc. In 2020, he was replaced by the spirit of the YouTube Remote to declare which is better and is worthy of the channel for the SMG4's Gang and SMG3's Anti-Cast as he was absent in The YouTube Arc and it was the final episode of The YouTube Arc. In 2021, he was replaced by the Mario crystal to stop the SMG4's Gang from rescuing Mario as he was absent in the Genesis Arc and it was the final episode of The Genesis Arc. In 2022, he was replaced by Judge Kirby to determine the fate of the non-Nintendo IPs as he was absent in The Lawsuit Arc and it was the final episode of The Lawsuit Arc. In 2023, he was replaced by SMG4 and SMG3 to help viewers with the mission to get SMG3's Notebook back as he was vaguely absent in recent bloopers in Season 13.

(2017) TheOdd1sOut, a fellow YouTube animator, helped animate a scene in "who is better at animating".
The eighth in the series was actually revealed in a CHANNEL update of all things. It was shown in SMG4 Direct (HUGE CHANNEL UPDATE), alongside SMG4's own series Hitbox.
(2018) In the end, the first teaser trailer for Glitch Production's new series Meta Runner is shown. It features Tari offscreen controlling Theo in his game.
(2017) In the rap battle, the song that can be heard is actually Napal Baji made by PSY.

(2016) The episode may have been paying homage to the WarioWare series because of how the jingle from the games played in the Triple Round and the Boss Round against Bowser during the Rap Battle. *Note that the Jingle also plays during the Triple Round in WOTFI 2017
(2015) The music that plays after you enter a single-player minigame in the WarioWare series plays at 7:23.
The first Rap Battle in the WOTFI Series was actually made in WOTFI 2015, rather than the first battle (2011).
Since the introduction of the Rap Battles, all WOTFIs during an even numbered year have featured a "boss battle", with the exception of WOTFI 2021 and WOTFI 2023. However, if counting all the instalments in general, 2011 and2014 also count too.
Every War Of The Fat Italians within an arc have 2 things in common: (1) They are all Arc finales and (2) the banner always changes every week during the Arc.
