SuperMarioGlitchy4 Wiki

Whimpu (Japanese: ウィンプ, Hepburn: Winpu, Wimpu) is a modern recurring character in the SMG4 series.

He is a meek simp in SMG4's Gang who worships Saiko Bichitaru. During The YouTube Arc, Whimpu joined the Anti-Cast as Saiko's doppelganger and (on behalf of SMG3), in SMG4: Deleted, traveled back in time to her first appearance episode SMG4: Doki Doki Mario Club to prevent Fishy Boopkins from bringing Saiko to life, which sent her to the Internet Graveyard. However, she and the rest of her friends were rescued by Mario in SMG4: A Totally Normal S̷͍͖͉̙͚͎̑̃̿͑̆̇̚͠M̸͇͇̦̮̌̿Ğ̴̫̗̖͎͔̳4̶̞͇̰̎̀́̚ Episode. In the finale of the arc, he and the rest of the Anti-Cast were motivated by SMG4's Gang to turn against SMG3, and after Whimpu's former leader was banished to the Internet Graveyard, he joined the gang.

Whimpu is as tall as Saiko Bichitaru, making him one of the tallest characters of the series. His design appears to resemble most characters from the EarthBound/MOTHER series. He wears round glasses and what appears to be a school uniform which consists of a white polo t-shirt with a red tie, beige long-legged pants and white loafers. He also has short pink hair.

Whimpu's the opposite of Saiko Bichitaru, being passive instead of aggressive. While he's a decent scientist and actor, he has a terrible singing voice and is incredibly weak. He also has an interest in anime, just like Fishy Boopkins.

However, he does have charisma, as he was able to convince several bodybuilders to help him in lifting Beeg SMG4 in SMG4: War Of The Fat Italians 2020 despite having an obvious photo-shopped image of himself. He seems to have a foot fetish, as seen in some videos where he kisses an anime girl's foot.

However, despite being pacifistic, he is shown to sometimes resort to violence or has rare instances where he gets angry. This was first seen in SMG4 Christmas Special 2020, where he avenges Saiko by summoning a giant waifu snow golem to attack SMG4. This was shown again in SMG4: Mario goes to subway and purchases 1 tuna sub with extra mayo where he defends Mario and Tari by using a UNO-reverse card to fight back against Yu-Gi-Oh. This was shown once again in SMG4: If Mario Was In Friday Night Funkin 2 he gets jealous of Senpai's affections for Saiko, and duels him for Saiko's affections.

S̶M̶G̶4̶: I Can't Believe It's Not SMG4!

"Did you see the wimp they chose to play as me?!"

Saiko Bichitaru

Whimpu first debuted in this episode to audition for Cromulus's (Later revealed to be SMG3) play by showing his scientific prowess. Despite both of his hands transforming into Team Fortress character's head and freaking out with said heads, Cromulus still liked what he got, mainly due to his uncanny resemblance in appearance to Saiko. During the play, he parodied Saiko's Darkest Hour against Rob's parody of Bob's rap career. After the play was over and SMG4 discovered SMG3 ripped off of SMG4's adventures, SMG3 commanded his doppelgangers to fight SMG4's crew. As opposed to physical combat, Whimpu suggested some debate topics to Saiko as a means of combat but Saiko rejected that idea and immediately incapacitated Whimpu. After Mario settled the score between SMG4 and SMG3, Saiko offered to call an ambulance for Whimpu and the two crews walked away.

SMG4: Mario VS Youtube

During SMG3's heist for the YouTube Remote, instead of fighting the guards at YouTube headquarters, Whimpu tried distracting them with videos on his laptop it worked long enough for the remote to be stolen although it appeared to have failed.

SMG4: Deleted

SMG3 sent Whimpu back to the past to erase Saiko from existence. Rather than destroy Fishy Boopkins' laptop (which Saiko herself did by accident), Whimpu instead tried to persuade Boopkins to play a different game instead; one of his own to no avail.

SMG4: A Totally Normal S̷͍͖͉̙͚͎̑̃̿͑̆̇̚͠M̸͇͇̦̮̌̿Ğ̴̫̗̖͎͔̳4̶̞͇̰̎̀́̚ Episode

Whimpu was ordered by SMG3 to act like Saiko in a "normal" SMG3 episode. However, even after being threatened at gunpoint, Whimpu felt scared and couldn't say his lines as read from the script.

When Mario manages to go after SMG3, leading to the cowardly latter to run away, as the former gave chase, Whimpu asked the rest of SMG3's crew if they should help SMG3, But they were not bothered to help their leader anyway as they were upset with him.

SMG4: War Of The Fat Italians 2020

He was involved in a few of the challenges. He first tried convincing Meggy to watch his anime rather than Boopkins' but she was disgusted and left, failing both of them. He then asked Boopkins' if he wanted to watch anime to Boopkins' joy. In the second challenge of his, he had to lift Beeg SMG4 but seeing Luigi who was physically stronger than him fail, he convinced several nearby bodybuilders to help him win, nabbing him the challenge.

During the rap battle sequence against SMG4's gang, Whimpu and the rest of Anti-Cast joins SMG4 when they know the truth about SMG3, causing the gang to turn against him. Whimpu was briefly frozen by SMG3 with the YouTube Remote. After both factions defeated SMG3 and have him being banished to the Internet Graveyard, The SMG4 gang along with SMG3's former gang including Whimpu now celebrates their newfound friendship and victory.

SMG4: Food Wars

Both the SMG4 and former SMG3 crew were throwing a party at Peach's Castle during Princess Peach's absence.

A dispute grows over what food should be put on the table. As the dispute gets more tension, more people rallied over to their preferred choice of food, Soon after, SMG4 declared a food war.

Whimpu was on Team Pizza with Mario. He was the one who was responsible for carrying the pizza boxes to the table.

He updates Luigi's data plan, but is shocked to see his internet history and later he got beaten by RMKP.

He was invited in Rob's Halloween Party. He brings out fried chicken from his pockets to Saiko since he knows it's her favorite. Then the gang was attacked by the non-textured clones of the gang. Thanks to Meggy and Mario's help, Whimpu manages to escpae the house and head towards the cornfield to find E.Gadd's secret entrance (To which is very convenient). Unfortunately, the clones manages to catch up to him. When he finds the entrance, he was attacked by the fake Mario, threatening him to take off his pingas. Terrified by this, Whimpu throws many items at it from his pockets, including the fried chicken, which alerted Steve appearing out in the middle of the field. Seeing the horrible sight of Steve's feathered friend, he turned into Super Saiyan Herobrine mode, attacking fake Mario. Whimpu thanked Steve, calling him Block Man. After bursting into E.Gadd's secret lab, he discovered E.Gadd in a cage playing a harmonica. Behind him are his real friends, but they're now non-textured. Whimpu opens the lock by using one of his Twitch Streamer girl's hair pins. E.Gadd needs time to run his termination program so Whimpu distracts them by spouting some nerdy stuff. They attacked him, but it was enough time to let the professor finises his program, deleting the clones permenately and turing his friends back to normal. They cheered him for saving them. It was later revealed that before SMG3 was banished to the Internet Graveyard, he bribed Professor E.Gadd to make clones of SMG4's Gang (and a backup in case of them backstabbing). This is the first time Whimpu became the protagonist in this episode.

SMG4: War of the Simps

He appears as one of the co-protagonists in the episode. He had a rivalry with Boopkins over being the best simp, until he discovered the truth about virtual YouTubers when Saiko brought them to Nathaniel Bandy's mansion and waifu factory.

Whimpu appears in SMG3's Christmas story, where he and Saiko having a snowball fight with SMG4 and Fishy Boopkins, Whimpu later appears with Swagmaster6969696969 and Chris Gordman along with the SMG4 cast and Anti-Cast celebrating their Christmas in Peach's castle.

After a near five month long absence from the series, Whimpu makes his return in the blooper, first seen in the opening advertisement, upset that no-one came to his birthday, until SMG4 came to help with the video's sponsor: Mythic Heroes, which brings some his friends over to his party. Later on, Mario fixes his back pain by running into him in the gurney.

He is one of the many contestants. He asks Belle if he wants to work together, only for Belle to immediately fade out, upsetting him. Later on, he gets eliminated during Red Light Green Light after he screams in horror at the sight of the many contestants being killed alongside Tari.

He appears in the skit based on R64: Idiot karts 101, driving with Belle, stupidly freaking out over how they're driving so fast (in reality, Belle is literally driving below 5 MPH).

SMG4 Christmas Special 2021

Mario summons Whimpu along with Belle and Rob as side character to assist Bob at his hotel. He exerts himself to the point of exhaustion-induced death trying to lift a child's suitcase. He returns to help set up decorations at Peach's castle but is left swinging wildly from Christmas Lights.

  • High IQ: Whimpu is very intellectual and one of the smartest characters.
  • Simp-induced Superstrength: While normally being so week he makes Fishy Boopkins and Tari look like Ultra Instinct Shaggy by comparison, Whimpu can summon incredible strength when he's in the process of simping for a waifu.

  • Pathetic Strength: Whimpu is possibly the most pathetic specimen in the Mushroom Kingdom, having been defeated by inanimate objects and mild physical activity. He's one of only two characters ranked at Power Level Z, ranking even lower than other known pathetic characters like Old Man Hobo
  • Massive Simp: Whimpu, while normally among the smartest characters, loses all sense of judgement when fawning over beautiful women.
  • Cowardice: Whimpu's natural reaction to any danger is to immediately hide behind someone stronger than him (i.e. anyone) and will only contribute anything is absolutely forced.

  • He is the only member of SMG3’s gang to have originated from the ground up rather than debuting in an earlier SMG4 video or Meta Runner.
  • Whimpu is perhaps the third character to debut during a story arc, (Belle Fontiere, originally debuted in Meta Runner, while her SMG4 counterpart debut in the same episode as Whimpu) with Tari being the first in the Waluigi Arc and Axol being the second in the Anime Arc.
  • He's the exact opposite of Saiko, being pacifistic, meek, and sensitive. He also prefers smart activities and is a real person rather than a virtual character brought to life.
  • His name is a play on "wimp" (referencing how weak he is) and it is also stylized as a Japanese word.
  • The text-to-speech voice used for this character is Takumi Male. In a Twitch stream, James Bailey was the one who picked his voice after he saw a meme with it.
  • Despite being the opposite of Saiko, they both side with Mario on Team Pizza in SMG4: Food Wars.
  • As shown in SMG4: War of the Simps, he loves anime and simping as much as Boopkins. The two do not always get along, however.
  • He has barely made any appearances in the Genesis Arc.
  • According to Luke Lerdwichagul and James Bailey's tier list, Whimpu is one of the two weakest characters in the series, alongside FightingMario54321.
  • In Streaming Until I Hit 5̶ ̶m̶i̶l̶l̶ 5,100,000 Subscribers his strength is compared to a wet tissue by Luke Lerdwichagul.
  • Until the creation of Kaizo, Whimpu was the only original male human character in the series.
  • Weirdly, his recent appearances have him speaking with preexisting voice clips rather than his own voice.
